My daughter took her car in for an oil change. They recommended that the coolant be replaced as well. She agreed. The next day she was experiencing car problems because the coolant reservoir had not been closed properly (it is vacuum seal) and then the day after that she got a low oil indicator! This is not the kind of review I like to post. During the last month, I have been searching for a simple oil change. I called ahead, and spoke to what I though was this store. When I arrived, I realized that I was calling their call center. They demanded that they place some sort of rod, to hold my hood open. What?. No one has every done that before. My vehicle has a factory hood prop, designed to fit my vehicle. No place for someone to put anything else there. He he said it was "corporate policy". read more

If I could rate this place any higher I would! First oil change in Arizona and I didn't want to deal with the heat. Found this location with mixed reviews but decided to give it a chance. I was assisted by Eddie and RJ. They gave me a free water which was nice! Right off the bat they were super helpful and I could feel them trying to do everything in a timely manner. They topped off my fluids(coolant, steering, etc) for free and did my tires pressure. There was another car they were assisting before me but every chance they could, they explained what they were doing and why I needed to wait a little (I could tell they were working as fast as possible trying to ensure great customer service and do their job in a quick efficient manner). After getting my oil changed I asked if they could assist with my "check engine little". They diagnosed the issue and pointed out my options with resolving the issue. From start to end, I felt that they were honest and trustworthy workers. Overall, they were super helpful, great service, and I plan on recommending to everyone! (They also offer military discount). I'm NOT a happy customer. We received an e-mail that had a coupon that states "$25 OFF ANY OIL CHANGE (CODE: E0D00L25A24 - EXPIRES 10/31/2024)." So, my wife went to the location at 7960 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85710 and got her oil changed. When she presented the coupon she was told that the coupon is not applicable for the type of oil change she got, and they did not honor her coupon. She paid nearly $80, and will NEVER use Take 5 again. This is underhanded, false advertising, and is probably illegal. It wouldn't surprise me if the employees are pocketing the $25 after the fact. read more

Went into Take 5 yesterday for a basic oil change and it turned into a very pleasant and very professional experience. Lucas my technician was the only person there and he maintained a pleasant and professional demeanor. He offered me water and was referencing everything he was doing during the oil change process. This place is a scam. Beware. My daughter brought her car to this place and they changed the oil before expressing the price. They tried charging 80 dollars for a 4 quart oil change. Worst part is they broke the oil fill cap and this allowed oil to shoot out of the engine. This eventually broke the engine. I have taken the vehicle to a 3rd party mechanic that confirmed the oil fill cap was the reason for the engine failure. Take 5 is taking ZERO responsibility for the problem they created. I have pics, receipts to prove what they did. Attempted numerous times to speak to an actual person, no response. HORRIBLE.... BEWARE read more

This has been open a few months. I stopped via bike to explain that during construction, temporary fencing pushed pedestrians into bike path. When the fence was removed, all kinds of garbage was left there and it's now almost an unsightly part of landscape just east of new property. The young man walked over, picked up a receipt and announced it wasn't from 'Take5" and wasn't his problem. I said it wasn't but then the construction company needs to be contacted as someone connected to this new business IS RESPONSIBLE. It would take an employee about 15 minutes to pick it up. He said flat out "no...not my problem" and then sarcastically told me to "have a nice day ma'am" as he slid back into the shop where he and other employees could all laugh. There was a promotional $20 discount offered and everything went smoothly without delay. The crew were polite and responsive. I definitely plan on visiting for additional needed service.
