A lot of over priced unnecessary recommendations. Several of which were supposed to have been done by them a few months ago.

I looked for the nearest auto shop and thankfully this one was only about 30 yards away. It was a Friday afternoon and the shop was busy, but seeing that I was from out of town and on my way home with a wife and 3 very young kids they said they would try their best to get us on road so we wouldn't have to spend the night in a hotel. The manager, Bryan, and asst. mgr, Eric, stayed past closing with one of the mechanics trying to figure out why the car wasn't running after fixing the obvious problems. After some time they told us that unfortunately they wouldn't be able to get it solved that evening but would have to keep looking at it the next morning and we'd need to spend the night in a hotel. Bryan called a hotel for us to make a reservation. It happened to be the one I would have chosen myself (I was already looking on my phone in the event that we had to stay the night, and didn't want to be "recommended" a hotel that was more than I was willing to pay). Then he and Eric told us we could grab whatever we needed from the car, and put our 3 car seats in their vehicles and they would drive the 5 of us over to the hotel themselves! Not your typical customer service (I was just thinking about the logistics of getting our kids and car seats into an Uber ...). When we got to the hotel Bryan came in with us just to check at the front desk and ensure they had the reservation he made for us over the phone, which they did. Then they told us that we could leave the kids' car seats in their vehicles and they'd come pick us up the following day! The next morning Bryan called to let me know that on further inspection the electrical problem in the van did appear to ruin one of the computers and so the computer would have to be replaced. Unfortunately, while they could replace the computer in their shop, they don't have the capability there to reprogram it. So, he made a few calls trying to find a place that would have the equipment AND be able to fit us in before they closed. Keep in mind this is Saturday morning--just about the worst/busiest time to try to get something fixed. He said he did find a shop that he's worked with before that could squeeze us in, so our van would be towed over there. To make a long story short, our car was eventually fixed and running Saturday afternoon, so they came and picked us up again and we were able to go home that evening. Our van took up a bunch of their mechanics' hours and it took some logistics on their part in working with the other shop to get it running before the end of the day Saturday. Bryan and Eric (as well as the mechanics) were extremely helpful to us and doing all that they could to get our family back on the road as quickly as they could. Being from out of town (and being the weekend), they could have easily taken advantage of our situation and charged us way more than they did (after all, what other options did we have??). But instead, they were very sympathetic, went way beyond any normal expectation of "good customer service" (who calls hotels to make arrangements for their customers and then drives them with their kids in car seats in their personal vehicles?) and gave great rates to help minimize our cost with all that was needed on our van. Even after we were on our way home, Bryan called me just to ensure that everything was working properly and there were no problems. I can also say, in response to some of the negative reviews, I purchased 2 tires here and what they charged me for those after tax and everything, was about $40 LESS than the total would have been at Discount Tire (that's NOT including Discount Tire's road hazard certificates). All in all I was very impressed with their service as well as their rates and would highly recommend them to anyone. Hopefully I won't need their help in the future, but if my car breaks down in Tucson ever again they'll have my business!

I've taken my car in twice before, once to fix my oxygen sensor and again to fix a power steering issue, and both times I've felt pretty good about my car's health. I still feel good about my car's health, but it does make me uncomfortable that every time I stop in, they really push to get something else fixed, too. I understand my car isn't in the greatest condition (it certainly isn't new), but I stopped in for an oil change most recently and was encouraged to flush every other liquid in my car, including things they had already done just a couple months before. Although I appreciate them being proactive about my car's health, my most recent experience made me feel like my lack of knowledge was being taken advantage of--which is often the fear (and the genuine cases of) for plenty of women who take their cars in for maintenance. After doing some research post-maintenance, ultimately I've found that what they upsold to me (flushing power steering fluid) are completely unnecessary expenses. I'd like to trust their expertise, especially because people within my circle do, but this particular experience didn't sit well with me and I just feel like a dummy for agreeing to anything. If you're a woman with a car, I guess we're still in an era where your ignorance is taken advantage of.

They not only offered reasonable and fair pricing, but the quality of their work was outstanding. My 2015 Jaguar XJL Portfolio required major repairs, and Brett, the owner and certified technician, was exceptionally knowledgeable about my car and the repairs it needed. They were transparent about all costs, and I was pleasantly surprised when the repair was completed ahead of schedule. Finding an auto shop that genuinely cares about its customers is a refreshing experience. This shop is honest and transparent regarding repair costs. Jaguars can be challenging to work on, and many small shops tend to overcharge for their services. For instance, the Jaguar dealership in Tucson charges a standard labor rate of $235.00 per hour. Overall, P&B Automotive Repair Shop is fantastic. Their front desk service was also excellent--easy to talk to and proactive in keeping me updated on the progress of my car. Loved that they have pre-8am appointments. I arrived on time and was greeted by awesome Jenny. After checking me in they promptly took my vehicle. 10 min later I learned it was just low on refrigerant (actually near zero). That didn't surprise me because it was less cool recently but still coldish. And then one day it was instantly lukewarm. First time in its entire life so it really could have been anything that failed. The a/c check ran $60 and the 1.25 lbs of coolant brought the total, with tax, to just over $120. I was done in 30 minutes. They tossed a dye in with the refrigerant just in case there's an active leak. Fingers crossed, all is good! Tip: if you GPS the location you won't see the street number or their sign because it's "tucked" about 50 long yards off the street, midway deep amongst all of the locker/garage containers that populate this large lot. I'll add an entrance photo soon!
