I visited the Take 5 Oil Change #0258 location in Niceville, Florida on October 10, 2024 just after 4:00pm for a routine oil change for my 2023 Nissan Sentra. I normally have my car serviced elsewhere, but this location is near where I work. Once the technicians were finished with the change, Kye came to me telling me that the skid plate was going to take "a really long time" to put back on and asked if I wanted that done or if I wanted them to just throw it out. I said no, I definitely wanted it put back on as it's obviously there for a reason. I understand that this requires putting each clip back in one by one, and I'm sure it's annoying, but that's a part of my vehicle. If the techs don't want to do the things that are involved with an oil change, such as taking off and putting back on a skid plate, then maybe they shouldn't work at a place that does oil changes. After a bit, Kye told me I was good to go and sent me on my way. This evening, February 5, 2025, I went to my regular oil change location. Once the tech was done with the oil change, he came to me with a clip, letting me know that he was about to put the skid plate back on, but wanted me to be aware that I was missing SEVENTEEN of the 26 clips that hold the skid plate in. Considering that no one has touch my vehicle since my visit to the Take 5 Niceville location, that tells me that instead of putting my skid plate back on correctly with all the parts, they thought it was okay and took it upon themselves to put the bare minimum number of clips in and throw away the rest. The tech advised me to grab some clips from a nearby auto parts store and come back and they would put them back on free. Thankfully my regular oil change place is kind enough and willing to clean up Take 5's mess. Take 5's decision-making is absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, and not to mention unsafe. I drive over 30 miles one way to work every day, most of which is interstate at a high rate of speed. All it would take is one air pocket with the 9 clips that they left me to send the skid plate flying and potentially causing an accident and/or injuring someone. Considering the laziness and negligence of the techs at this location, I will absolutely NEVER come back for anything to any Take 5 location. If this is where the bar is set for expectations, I am DISGUSTED. Be mindful that people are trusting you with their vehicles. Other drivers are trusting you to do your jobs correctly. We drove in as soon as our car was Preston great us, "Good After and Welcome to Take 5 Oil Change may I offer you a water before we get started". TOTALLY FIRST CLASS!! Kaleb prepared our bill and ask if either my husband or I were military, my husband said he was. Kaleb sincerely thanked him for his service. Good experience! Drove in for a simple oil change without an appointment. The technicians were friendly and didn't try to hard sell me on a bunch of other services I didn't need. I was in and out pretty quickly. You stay in the car while they work. They sent me away with a bottle of ice cold water at the end. My husband and I take our cars here to get an oil change and every time i'm always so impressed by their customer service. I'd even say it's better than chick fil a. They offered us complimentary water. They let us know what was running low and how everything was looking under the hood. They are fast efficient and kind. Really good prices for the quality. They care for my car and give me great piece of mind that every service my car requires is being done well. They go over everything with me and are able to answer any questions I have. These guys are great. They run out to greet you and give you a cool bottle of water - no appointment needed (get there early!) some days there's a short wait - however they do great work, and have fair prices. I'm a Mobile 1 kinda girl - and using coupons I can get out for just about 100$ or sometimes less. They aren't out to make you replace everything every time either. They check your filters and if it's bad they let you know. But, they've sent me on my way a couple times cause the filters were fine. They check and top off all the other fluids and check the tire pressure (if you're not in Nitrogen). All in all my favorite oil change spot in town. I didn't have to step out of my vehicle, they came to me with a water bottle and did my oil change in less than 10 minutes. Austin has great customer service and Mike and Marvin both had great teamwork while working and checking on my cars fluids. I will definitely be going back! worst service ever!!! I pulled up with 3 bays full and 1 additional car behind 2 of the 3 bays. quitters everywhere on how fast they are. NOT!!! they are taking at least 50 mins per car. that is ridiculous. the last time I tried to come here they only had 1 bay open on a Saturday morning???? lastly I have car advise which I get a discount and was told by someone who said he'd been for 5 yrs and never heard of it. sadly I know others that have used that discount here. He told he would have to call his district mananget and that was almost and hour and a half ago. He hasn't come back to acknowledge anything. .. Very dissatisfied with all the service. Wow, just blown away. So, I'm a first timer with this place but I'm disappointed in myself that I haven't been a regular. The customer service was off the charts with respectful stuff who have an upbeat attitude. These guys don't mess around either, in and out very simple. Plus, they have a military discount, which made my oil change less than every other spot I've been to. The place is worth a shot even without a discount. Horrific service, blew my coolant line with their pressurized system. They cracked my oil pan by over torquing the pan screw. Floor staff was competent but the manager was horrendous and they denied the claim we made on false pretenses. If you value your car being functional DO NOT get an oil change here. read more

I had an interesting experience here. It started out great. I pulled up and they greeted with hey big smile. We had a bit of an issue because I have a company vehicle and company service agreement. So I don't pay them directly, my company pays them. This caused a lot of confusion and I'm sure frustration with the staff because after that moment they sure showed it. The only one that was friendly to me after that moment what is the manager. I had to get this done on my lunch break, and since it was my lunch break, I was eating in the car. The employees had no discretion about making fun of me eating in the car. They kind of went on about it for quite some time. It didn't bother me too much but it's not very professional. I typically like to see the good in places that I visit, and dismiss the bad, but in this situation the bad definitely outweighed the good. I won't be back. Took too long... waited 20 mins and the line didn't move once. I came during the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Five cars were ahead of me, only one of the three bays were open. The employees seemed to have no sense of urgency... I recommend going to the America Fast Lube which is about five minutes down the road on John Sims. I waited 20 minutes outside their oil change stall in the hot sun. Once inside, I was told that they were out of oil filters for my car--a popular Hyundai model. The tech said he would get some more in and would call me when they arrived. After two days, I called the business rep again and inquired about the filter--was told they still were not in, they would call me. Two more weeks went by and no call. I called again, but was told they couldn't get my car's oil filter, but would use one of mine if I brought it in--don't see that happening. The employees were rude and passive aggressive when we didn't want the $120 oil change and purchased the $90 one instead. They said "well if they want their engine blowing up!" I have never experienced these sales tactics before. Also "the quick oil change" took over an hour. Will never go back there. Just don't be surprised if their business practices seem odd. read more

Don't come here with an advanced car . Company has some bs policy that they can't do oil changes on anything without a dipstick (likely too lazy to Google an owners manual to find the correct amount to fill). If your car has the tech to measure it's own oil, they will likely wait until you have been sitting there for 30 minutes to tell you that you can't be helped. Two stars because they gave me a water for my trouble. 1993 Toyota corollas won this battle. read more

On Dec 8th my car oil light flickered on and off when I pulled into the parking lot of my job at Hurlburt Field.  I shut the car off and looked underneath the car and saw oil dripping from the engine area.  There was also a significant amount of oil on the back on my car.  I contacted a local mechanic and had them towed my car to their shop to see the damage/problem.  Once they investigated the issue, they found the oil filter was improperly installed from Take 5, which resulted in a small hole in the oil filter.  Attached is a picture of the oil filter and the repair bill. We have been coming to Take 5 in Niceville for over two years.  Our household has four cars that we take there every four or five months.  I would like to continue to use Take 5, however; this issue was due to to an error at Take 5 and I feel it should be the responsibility of Take 5 to pay for this.  I understand I was told by Take 5 employee that I should have contacted them first when this happened, however; I didn't think this problem was related to my oil change since it had been over a month and a half since I was in Take 5. I am hoping this issue will be resolved so that I can continue to trust the Take 5 company will stand behind their work and quality. I have reached out to corporate office and still have not received any compensation for their error. read more

As much as you can love an oil change place, I love this place. They're super quick and efficient, but they take the time to walk you through everything that they're doing. The prices are incredibly reasonable. It's over so quick that you don't even leave your car. It's pretty cool, you feel like a nascar driver during a pit stop. read more

Definitely recommend!! Ethan is SUPER helpful and knowledgeable!!! Told us we didn't need new oil because ours was new (just brought the car from someone else so we wanted to check). He looked at the rest of the fluid, took out coolant because it was overfilled, and even changed out the Cabin air filter that had acorns in it. I was planning on getting an oil change on Sunday 29 November. I checked online to see the business hours and everything thing stated 10 am to 4 PM for Sunday. I showed up at 1005 with a line of 3 cars. Figured maybe the professional's were running behind. Everyone had left and I decided to come back at 1100. Again no employees were there, I waited a few more minutes before leaving. I called the take 5 customer service number. I was sent to voicemail box that was full so I couldn't leave a message. Stopped in for an oil change and it was awesome! I picked this place because I can sit in the car while they do the work so I don't have to take my two toddlers out. We sat in the car eating McDonald's for the whole 10 minutes it took. They asked me 3 different times if I wanted a water bottle.
