This place is great for a quick bit professional oil change. Took in my new Bronco and was worried because when I go to dealership it takes 2 hours. These guys were great. Every time I come here I always get great service and will always be a repeat customer!

We went here last night to have our oil changed and they recommended us to change the coolant as well. We agreed and they "changed the coolant". We finished our service and started driving on our road trip and 1 hour later our engine started over heating. We drove to the nearest take 5( winter garden). When we arrived they checked our coolant level and it was completely empty. The Deland take 5 drained our coolant and they never replaced it. The take 5 that's in winter garden had to replace 10 quarts of coolant. Our engine could have blown up!!! Do not recommend. Basically take 5 in Deland never checked to see if the coolant was filled after the drained it. read more

Very nice experience at this location. I had made an appointment with another company for a oil change, when I arrived I was told it would be a Two hour wait. Why bother to make an appointment? I pulled up to take 5 and was greeted with a smile and a cold bottle of water. I went for an oil change Friday Oct27th 11:55 and on Saturday at 8am over heat light came on I pulled over and no coolant I called spoke to Jamar manager of location he said yea we top fluids off, weird I'm empty. He asked did I pull over in time which I did and filled it up. Went on my way to Orlando, as they have done all my oil changes in past. Before leaving I checked and coolant was pissing out so I had it towed to the mechanic in Deland and had to get a rental for 11 days. And now Matt district Manger calls and denies claim. Look at the reviews I'm not the only one this happened to. Marc Graham the CEO for Take 5, refuses to answer emails or call me back. This is unfortunate because we all make mistakes and you should never call your customers a liar. Pictures attached. I never had any issues until the oil change. We took our car here for an oil change, just because it was convenient, close to our home, and offered decent prices. Once we got there we were quoted a price, which we agreed to, but when the oil change was completed, the "manager" informed us that she had miscalculated the price. It was actually much higher, and since the work was already done, there was no way of avoiding paying the new price..even when we pointed out our initial quoted price. We were offered $5 off our next oil change to compensate the "error" but we will not be back. Get a new manager who is better with customers and knows their prices! read more

I called to get a quote, was a bit high BUT good reviews I was ok with it. I was advised there was an 25% discount today only &, if you were first responder it was 50% off. Well, I'm a 9-1-1 dispatcher for fire / rescue which I asked does that 50% discount count for dispatchers. The young man on phone talked to someone near him who advised "NO" their not first responders . WOW really,?? U know 9-1-1 dispatchers may not physically be driving up to the scene in person but who do you think the first / first responder is in an emergency when you call 9-1-1? The folks at this Take 5 location like to pretend they are an Indy Pit Crew while changing you oil. They are enthusiastically calling out instructions and confirmations like Mario Andretti is in the vehicle getting a squirt of Gator-Aid while being refueled and having his right side tires clanged. Unfortunately, you end up with a dozen oil spots on your concrete driveway because they forgot to tighten up the oil filter. If this was the only oil change location on the planet, I would rather just let my engine run out of oil and watch a piston shoot out through the side of my car than go back to this place again. Hopefully, when the piston left my vehicle I would be driving down Spring Garden and it would sail though their front window and knock one of these morons out. read more

I went for an oil change today at Take 5, and this was my best experience ever, very convenient, fast, the guys were not pushy, being able to sit in the car they offered a bottle of water, actually showed me the air filter so I could see it needed to be changed. I was heading south on Spring Garden Avenue and needed a quick oil change. I stopped at an auto zone and saw a few unhappy looking customers settled into the customer lounge. I asked for an oil change and they said, "sure, it will be about two hours." I left and drove to a place I had been to before on the other side of the street. The name has changed to Take 5. I pulled in and was efficiently greeted and waited on by 4 very nice gentlemen. One checked me in, the other started looking under my hood. They change my oil and told me it was time to change my transmission fluid according to the mileage for my car type. I agreed and he went to change it and came back and said it wasn't necessary at this point after looking at it. It would have been so easy for him to have done it anyway and over sell me but he didn't. Bottled water, car air freshners, no wait time, smiling and honest faces. I highly recommend! Be careful and review your receipt before signing. These drive thru oil changes want to change your in cabin air filter and wiper blades that is something to be expected. However with no mention to me they changed my air filter and were in the process of changing my wiper blades when the cashier hands me the receipt and says sign these 2 top pages. Still no mention of the products I did not want. After reviewing the receipt I told him I did not want the air filter or the wiper blades as the truck only has 11,000 miles on it. The existing filter is still clean and I have no issues with the wiper blades. The cashier gets angry and yells to his guys "that air filter, take it out" and that he has to rewrite the receipt. He eventually comes back and does not ask me to sign anything this time just hands me the receipt and tells another gentleman to guide me out. Very dishonest. read more

You are being warned, do not take your vehicle to this establishment. When they first opened Under New Management it was a great place but since then it has gone downhill. I took my 2016 Challenger for an oil change return home and found that the bottom engine Shield was not attached to the car so I have to go in back they put it back on the vehicle but not before telling me that you really don't need it anyway. I'll look at it this way it came with the car for a reason to keep debris from flying up into the bottom of the motor. Yes I do need it. I noticed also that when they topped off the fluids all they used was water I had to drain the water from my windshield washer Reservoir and replace it with windshield washing fluid. I asked them if that was normal practice and they told me water works just as good. This place absolutely sucks. There are so many other places in DeLand to take your vehicle for an oil change my advice to you is to find one of those places. Even Walmart does a better job. read more
