Welch automotive (https://www.facebook.com/589welchautomotive/) incorrectly installed a timing belt in my vehicle and a part they replaced (timing belt tensioner) fell off of the engine they refused to accept responsibility. The attached invoice below is from the shop that identified the problem and attempted to correct it. This error on their part necessitates replacing the cylinder head on my vehicle. They have left me high and dry. This is an expense greater than $1000 and requires a replacement cylinder head). I have all the removed parts proving it was not a part failure, but rather an installation failure. Additionally, I also paid them to install front brakes on my vehicle and parts were left off of the passenger side front brake caliper. I also paid for them to do a valve cover gasket change, which necessitates re-sealing the half-moon cam seals per factory spec. They didn't reseal them and the vehicle is still leaking because of it. (Address: 210 E International Speedway Blvd, DeLand, FL 32724 Phone: (386) 868-1800) I am asking only that they pay for the repair I had to do at The Shop (invoice attached below) and refund me the initial $250 they charged me for the botched timing belt install. I am willing to negotiate with them as to who does the actual labor of the repair and even willing to allow them to do it if it means it will lower their costs, although I am demanding a warranty on any work they do and their willingness to pay another shop to repair it if they screw it up again. I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and thus far they have failed to respond. read more

Hi I went thinking that I needed new front brakes but these guy checked all brakes. It turns out my rear brakes were trashed. This of course cost more but I am going on a trip and I tow a small heavy trailer so, if those brakes had of failed on say wolf creek pass in Colorado I would have been up a shit creek without a paddle. This isn't a fancy shop with a fancy waiting room. There aren't secretaries or service writers either. What you will find is a hardworking, red blooded American who loves his family, is an excellent mechanic, is fairly priced, and is a man of his word. It might be hard to reach him at first, leave him a message, be patient, and he'll call you back. I went to 4 other shops in Deland to get estimates to get the AC in my truck repaired. All but Isaac had horrible attitudes, and 2 were way overpriced in my opinion. If I'm going to spend my money in your shop, you better act like you appreciate me as a customer. Well guess what...
