I feel a lot of people forget there's a big price tag for convenience. Think of gas store prices for a candy bar, it's 2-3 times more than you would pay at Walmart. Location: roughly a mile away down Loop 336 from I-45. Once your cars finished you can get right back on the road quickly. Service: Every-time I have come to this location I'm greeted with a smile (even when it's 100 degrees outside). They always offer me a bottle of water and keep me in the loop through the whole process. Not a single employee has ever been rude. Cons Price: You can easily get an oil change at a local mom/pop shop for a lot cheaper than what they charge here. I've come here for the past two years and the prices have gone up 20 bucks at least. I will never go back. In January 2023 I got my oil changed here. Later that month, my car overheated because it had no coolant in the reservoir. WHY YOU MAY ASK? The coolant cap was missing. SOMEONE didn't screw it on correctly. If you know ANYTHING about topping off fluids, you'd know a coolant cap LOCKS in place when it's properly screwed on. I'm not naming names but I NEVER TOUCHED IT before the incident. I let it go. Recently I got my oil changed here, and now my windshield washer fluid cap is missing. I've been a regular at Take 5 for many years. 5 or more easily and it's always a great experience... Until it wasn't. Went in for a full synth oil change on my 2020 Nissan Rogue and the experience went as usual and I had great service. Well I go home and the next day get in my car to go to my mother in laws for mother's day and my car breaks down at an intersection. Engine completely stalled out. After much trying and risking my safety I managed to get the car home after stalling out 3 more times. I let the dealer look at it thinking it was something that might still be under warranty and the first thing he asks me is " did you get your oil change recently? I said yeah and he says " yeah I've seen this a hundred times before. " And proceeds to go for where my engine filter is " yep it wasn't installed properly, this caused debris to get sucked into your mass air flow sensor which caused the stall ". Naturally I let them fix it thinking surely this won't be a problem but when I took the evidence to this store I find that they get to hide their incompetence behind a corporate policy stated on the reciept that if you have a breakdown you have to call them first before doing any diagnostics or repair on your vehicle. What was I supposed to do?? I don't have time for your legalese! I need my car to go to WORK! And how was I supposed to know it was your employees fault my car wasn't starting? Unless you have a mechanic or car savvy person in your immediate family you won't! It's all corporate lingo to avoid responsibility for incompetence! And they're likely going to get away with it! My wife had my oil changed on 09-17 -2022 on my 20217 Grand Cherokee . After paying over $100.00 for a synthetic oil change I arrived home to see oil drops coming from the drain plug area of my Jeep. I drove to meet with the manager on duty, Jesus Reynosa. After a discussion with him he basically said "what do you expect we are not mechanics " "we barely know anything " He explained the cause of the problem (which seemed suspect) and that his techs did not know the correct way of changing oil on certain cars. The girl Megan was probably one of the worst experiences I've had there. I always go to get my dads oil changed. He's a disabled veteran so his plates have DV. We always get the discount whether He's in the car or not but this time it was unacceptable according to Megan. Mind you I've been going there for over a year with the same crew members who did it every time. She made me feel like I made it up or was lying about previous changes. My dad is unable to take his car due to his busy schedule so I take it for him. In fact, I went there to change my car and Jesus was friendly and let me know he had a 10$ off coupon. I find it ridiculous I pay 100+ dollars to change some oil and I can't even get the coolant topped off . I filed a complaint with Take 5, after a male technician acted inappropriately towards my wife. Without warning, he opened the truck door, brushed against my wife's leg, and released the hood latch located beneath the steering column. To my dismay, the District Manager phoned to excuse the entire demeanor and behavior, by saying it is standard to act in such a manner. No. No, it is not appropriate, without even verbal warning or request, to open the vehicle door of a customer, brush against them with any part of your body, as you reach halfway into their seated area, particularly if it is a customer of the opposite sex, but these days, any gender! It is an invasion of personal space, it is sexual harassment as perceived by the person being touched, and it is unprofessional in any circumstance when one is getting a vehicle serviced, not a body massage. We were offered a free oil change, value around $80. We will not be using it, as my wife feels uncomfortable to return there and I feel too disgusted by the situation and response.
