Took my daughter's car to Quality for engine light a couple of weeks ago. Previously, another auto…read moreshop had replaced the gas cap in hopes that that was the issue for the evap system engine code from the diagnostics. That shop said that most of the time, a poor sealing gas cap is the problem for that system code, but to find out for sure a smoke test of the evap system would be required. Well, we hoped that the problem was solved so we passed on the additional cost for the smoke test with that shop. Soon after, the engine light came on again. So that's how I ended up taking the car Quality for the engine light a couple of weeks ago, so they could run the smoke test. Daniel ran the test (the same diagnostic code for evap system) and to my surprise, they called me in the shop area and showed me the smoke spilling out of the gas cap connection, which obviously was not fixed by the previous shop the first time. So we're happy with a new gas cap, but then a short time later the engine light comes on again - how aggravating! So, I took it back to Quality this morning and Joe remembered the car and me from the recent, last visit. Diagnostics showed an issue with the evap system again, but this time using a higher pressure system test on the evap system, they isolated the additional problem canister and completed the repair. Thinking this through, once they found the poor gas cap seal previously with the smoke test, (which I came in asking for at the suggestion of the other auto shop) replaced the gas cap and the engine light went off after test drive, it would not have been prudent at that time to try a different costly diagnostic (in this case, the higher pressure test.) I learned that the smoke test is a low pressure test, which perhaps would not reveal the problem with the evap system canister issue - at least that's how understand it (might be wrong.) Fair pricing for part and labor. Excellent service and personal attention to me - kept me in the loop on the issues regarding ordering the part (GMC problem with part number, not Quality's.) Miguel test drove the vehicle to ensure that the engine light was now no longer activated and I was good to go! I've used Quality for years for all of my vehicles and after using many automotive shops in the Spring area since 1990, Quality is the one I trust most. Mike and his team are good, honest people - just what one needs in an auto shop.

I noticed their card today in my wallet and thought let me do this before I forget again, because they definitely deserve one. I have brought my truck here several times in the last few yrs and they have always treated me fair and with great service. The young lady up front I believe her name is "Cheyenne" is always very polite and informative and I have also dealt with a young mechanic "Dillon" several times, always polite and very knowledgeable. So to get to the point, there was nothing wrong with our vehicle after Dillon looked at it, they let me know what I could do at the house to address the issue and I left with a smile. The point here is they could have charged me to look at my vehicle and then for service and or parts, that we didn't need and so on. But they didn't! That's hard to find these days unfortunately...a fair, honest and client first type of business. I would recommend this location to anyone. I required a vehicle inspection, and Justin handled it for me. I chose to explore this mechanic shop - and they inspected it at no cost. Just so you know, if you go to a dealership, you will incur a diagnostic fee. The inspection was completed in less than 20 minutes. Since the car was warm, be prepared to wait a little longer before they can begin working on the vehicle. I talked with nearly all the staff here: Chad, Justin, Mike, & Vicky and they all indicated that the problem was with the turbo. - My experience with my third-party warranty that I got when I exceeded the factory warranty was utterly disappointing. I will still keep it, though. lol. My third-party warranty was a complete letdown. You can count on Vicky; she is available to help you. I must say, Vicky was invaluable throughout my experience. If you are uncertain, I would strongly suggest coming here and asking for Vicky. In summary, the turbo failed, and the team repaired it in under 3 days. They saved me a significant amount of money. These guys do it all and then some…read more More than just oil changes and state inspections They can do almost everything you need done on a car They do a thorough inspection of all parts and inform the owner what they feel needs doing but they *WON'T* do any work ever without the permission of the owner - also they will take the owner out into the bay to explain exactly what they are intending to do. The owners Casey and Graham are two of the most friendly, knowledgeable automotive service workers I have ever done business with, and I have done business with them for about four years. Relatives from NW Houston drive up to their shop because of the honest and excellent work.

I showed up stressed out after dealing with an oil pressure issue overnight on my Ram 1500. I got there right at 7:30 when they opened, and before I could even finish parking, a guy named Elijah comes walking straight out with a smile, like he's been waiting for me all morning. I told him what was going on, oil pressure all over the place, worried it was something serious, and he just said, "Don't worry, man. We'll take care of you." And he actually meant it. No corporate script, no fake friendliness, just a guy who clearly knows cars and actually gives a damn. He walked me through everything, what oil they use, why they use it, what filter they were putting on, even checked my air filter and fluids without once trying to upsell me like every other oil place on earth. (You know the kind, the ones who act like your transmission's about to explode if you don't buy their $79.99 "Performance Package.") Not here. Elijah showed me my air filter, topped off my coolant and wiper fluid, and didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary. In fact, he was so genuine that when he mentioned wiper blades, which I actually needed, I bought them without hesitation. That's how you know a guy's honest, when you want to spend money with him. The shop itself is small from the outside, but don't let that fool you, they've got serious equipment and even better attitudes. It's clean, organized, and clearly run by people who take pride in what they do. I'm not even from Houston (I'm up in Dallas), but after this experience, I might just start timing my oil changes for when I'm down here on business. Seriously.
