Since I moved to the area, this is the only location I come to because it is fast and the service is always friendly! Shout out to Rico! Rico is the primary maintenance technician that I've come in contact with. The first time I visited, he got me in and it took only 5 minutes to get the oil changed. I've been to other locations and I'm there for 45 minutes or more. Rico never over tops the oil and only puts in the correct amount. Yes, the price is quite expensive, but you don't want cheap going into your car because you might be without a car. In this day and age, it's best that you have a car. I feel like I get my money's worth. I've gotten my cabin filter and more coolant changed here. I know I could get it elsewhere cheaper, but I will not remember to do that once I leave even though I would always tell myself that I am. Rico, he is the man that you can trust. AMAZING customer service! Luke and Gerardo took excellent care of me and my vehicle. I was there for an oil change but got my coolant exchange done as well. They were fast and courteous. Luke saw I was dying of heat and without prompting he flipped on a fan for me to cool down. It was such a wonderful act of kindness and empathy that I would not have excepted at an oil change shop. There is nothing quick about this location. I was told it would take 20 minutes to get to my car. After waiting 30 minutes, I noticed it looked like there was only one person working and he was going back-and-forth between the two "garage bins". I confirmed that was actually the case and it would be another 30 minutes before he got to my car. Took 40 mins and still not able to do the state inspection even there is no car waiting. The inspector was lack of knowledge about the state rules for the brake requirement. The inspector said he will fail me for the brake squeaking noise. The state rules not required to smooth stop within 25 feet. I tried to correct the inspector, the inspector just said I passed the test. WTF. read more

They then opened up the closed bay to do an inspection for a woman who came about 15 minutes after me. Finally left, as I just don't have all day. The name & ads imply a speedy turnaround. So I went to this place because it didn't look busy and I needed a state car inspection. As I pulled up there was a loud recycling truck doing their pickup from the business. I parked and as I exited my car I saw one of the employees outside and he started to walk towards me. I had to speak pretty loud because the recycle truck was still there and it was very loud. I asked the employee if they did state inspections. He replied yes and then said that as I was pulling up and parking he could hear my breaks squeak. Number one, my brakes are good. They are definitely not squeaking. Number two, how can you possibly hear anything over the loud recycle truck dumping aluminum cans from the business's large outdoor recycle bin onto the truck. I even had to almost yell when I asked him if they did state inspections. I immediately replied that my brakes are good. I told him I had them checked recently when I did my last oil change and car tune up. I even told him that I take my car to Firestone but I just needed a state inspection and this business was closer and that's why I came here. He then replied that he cannot do a state inspection on cars when the brakes squeak. I just replied okay, thank you, and I left. So, the reason I am giving this business 1 star is because I know that employee was lying. Either he did not feel like working this morning (even though there were no other cars or customers at the time) OR he thinks I'm a sucker and I'm going to fall for the "your car needs all this extra stuff done to pass inspection" line. As a woman, I am tired of mechanics taking advantage of the fact that I may not know as much about cars as my husband does but I know enough to know when I'm being played. It's sad that this was my first experience with this business because it left a very bad first impression. If I needed a quick oil change and maybe I didn't want to drive far to my regular mechanic I would have come here for the convenience. Be very cautious doing any business here. They would not release my car unless I gave them my personal information after an inspection. They said it was for their corporate marketing, however it was written down on a pad of paper. People be ware of scam places like this, you have no idea of what is being done with your personal information!!! Just look at their company website privacy policy which says just that and this is for website visits, who knows what these shady guys are doing with our information! I have submitted a statement to the Texas Attorney General so that they may potentially take action against this company. They should not be demanding your Personal information such as email addresses and phone numbers. I was a loyal customer of this location for about a year. I appreciated the convenience and speed of service. On my final visit there, I requested conventional oil as I always have before. They said "same as always?" and I said yes. Imagine my surprise when my bill was over double what it usually is! I questioned it and was told that according to their computer system my "same as always" was the most expensive synthetic oil they offered. I told them to pull up my history where they confirmed that I have ALWAYS purchased conventional. They then tried to tell me that my husband must have brought the vehicle in for its last service and told them to switch my to synthetic. This was an absolute lie. My husband has never taken my vehicle there and I always handle oil changes myself. After confirming that I had never before purchased synthetic, they did drop the price down to conventional but acted as though they were doing me a favor. They also broke a bolt on my engine air filter box and didn't say anything about it. Total old school oil change crooks right here!! Never again! read more

Going to a GMC From a Mercedes means that I now have to get regular oil changes. To be honest, I didn't really even know where to start since it had been so long. Me being 8.5 months preggo (and lazy night I add) I decided to give Take 5 a try since I did not have to get out of my vehicle AND they opened before 8 AM. After dropping my boys off at daycare I mapped where I was going and decided on this particular location due to the other lovely Yelpers who rated them fairly well. Upon my arrival, I was the only person there and was greeted at my car with a nice cold bottle of water by a super nice guy named Diondre. He directed me in and took care of all my needs promptly! All my fluids, things I don't understand under the hood, cleaned my windshield, filled my tires, replaced my wiper blade (upon my request), and just did an all around great job. As a woman, we often get upsold on things we don't need just due to lack of knowledge. Diondre was super professional and informative. He did not push anything I didn't need and explained everything to me. I will absolutely be coming here from now on. I paid LESS for my oil change here for synthetic oil than I ever paid at Jiffy Lube and was never pressured to get add-on services (this was very refreshing). When I came here (two cars in the line in front of me), it took less than half a hour for my car inspection to be completed. The staff all gave friendly and professional greetings - There was a gentleman outside directly cars into the correct lines, another man offered me a beverage while I was sitting inside the office, and a woman very nicely made sure I signed in so that they knew the correct name for the inspection. I really wish I could give this 0 stars because I am so beyond pissed at this location. I have been going to the 1488 location and have had absolutely no issues until I decided to stop by this location to get my oil and filter changed in my 2017 chevy cruz. Being there I thought things were perfectly fine, they were quick, good prices, and they were super respectful. But half an hour after leaving my check engine light comes on. So I go back and have them check out my car again. Just to find out someone didn't put the oil plug back on correctly and the seal was broken. Thankfully, they took responsibility for it and replaced it and I thought it was all good until my check engine light didn't shut back off and for two months it stayed on. So when I finally found money to take it to an actual mechanic, I learned that one of the mechanics at this location shoved my air filter in, and it was placed incorrectly. So for the two months that my check engine light was on my car would idle before it would accelerate, causing my car to be in efficient. Thankfully somebody else fixed it before it caused a serious problem with my motor. I will never be returning to this location, and I would recommend finding a shop that's more trustworthy. read more

I can't speak for all the other locations, but they definitely uphold the highest standard to taking care of their customers. I get that that's their thing, but it was 100+ and humid outside, and I just wanted to drop off my car or at least wait inside. I had just showered. So glad I found out about this place, been going to firestone for years and always had to wait atleast an hour to get my oil changed, no hard feelings towards firestone but the wait can be ridiculous. With that being said take 5 got me in and out in about 10 mins, with them being short staffed (only 2 employees). The price was reasonable as well. Diondre and Ivan were amazing and seemed to work really good together, they were very courteous and professional. Diondre was very thorough and made sure I understood everything going on. They most assuredly don't open at 7. ...or 7:10...not sure why their hours are listed as 7 to 7 if they can't seem to get there on time

I brought my car in for an oil change and asked them to check the coolant because a warning light had come on the day before. They told me the coolant level was full (see picture) and that there were no leaks. 5 miles after I left Take 5 my car overhead on the side of the highway. It was leaking fluids. I called Take 5 to let them know that I was bringing the car back for them to look at. When I got there, they looked at the engine in the parking lot, noted the coolant level was empty, jiggled a loose hoe on the top of the coolant reservoir and refused to put it in their bay to see where the leak was. The entire time I had to listen about how this wasn't their fault or their problem because "all we do is change oil". My assessment is either they never checked my coolant and lied when they said it was full, or they caused a major leak that caused the lev to drop from full to empty in 5 miles. In either case their customer service when it comes to resolving problems omits the customer and only focused on making sure I knew that it wasn't their fault. Don't bring your car here unless you're prepared to have it fixed by a qualified mechanic later. A very expensive oil change read more
