We came in for service on Monday and realized that an employee was working alone as a few other's called out . The place was getting busy and yet our tech 'Louie' was still professional , helpful and of course a bit frustrated but he kept his composure and took great care of us ! I had my oil changed at the Take 5 shop on State Route 64 in Bradenton last time. Today I went to a certified mechanic and was informed that the bolts that hold the oil shield in place had been so overtightened by the Take 5 incompetents that only one could be removed and the other 3 had to be cut off. I went to see Geno at Take 5 and he was unhelpful, rude, and basically said that they had no responsibility since the other shop had touched it last!! He would not even let me file a claim saying " I am the claim department".So now I'm on the hook for at least $350 in labor to fix the mess made at Take 5. Beware!! Do not use this company! Also, every time you go, there are new people working there: high turnover means poor management and low-skilled staff. Beware!!! read more

I went to the take 5 I needed an oil change. I was met with a smiling face and a cold water. Ruben got me all taken care of he was absolutely so kind and very helpful. Will come here every time from now on to see him to maintenance my truck. I took my car to Take 5 in Bradenton Florida Cortez road and 9th Street went for oil change. They up sold me a radiator flush to re freshen. My fluids took forever for the oil change. They told me it took a while to get the plug out excepted that but when I left after the radiator flush got home. All my fluids flushed out. This happened in July. They have yet since to call me back. Make any attempt to rectify the situation. Take five and Bradenton, specifically Cortez and 9th Street. What's the issue? Rectify the situation. 2009 Dodge charger when it rolled inside it, it didn't even have a oil leak. Superb! Instead of arguing with me, if it has a timing chain or timing belt, let's get it done. I hate to be Debbie Downer here, but this place should be named Take 75 (two trips and 75 minutes). The victim here (other than my time) was a 2013 Toyota 4Runner. Not exactly unique or exotic. So we (me and the 4Runner) show up at 6:30pm with no one else there. Perfect. 15 minutes in to it I realize there's a problem. They can't find the oil filter. So really? The computer that the service tech said "tells me everything about your car" can't tell you where the oil filter is? They're calling the boss.. to no avail - still can't find it. So we're we're now 30 minutes in and they want to go home. And since they've already drained the oil, they have to put oil in and I'll just have to come back another day for the filter swap. You're bleeping kidding me - find the darn filter! It's a 4Runner. Nope. As I leave, they hand my the filter, "hang on to this, you've paid for it" So the next morning I show up, the Asst Manager (who finds the filter immediately) swaps the filter and we're done. Take 75 (I have to add in the time to and from the 2nd drive there)... Except it's now 3 days later and I am still dropping oil since the filter was pulled with the oil pan full. So going back on Visit #1, I'm supposed to be grateful that they gave me the military discount - of course which I learned I should have received anyway because I'm a vet. I am very appreciative that they offer a military discount... very.. "Next time we'll know where it is". You're kidding me.. You shouldn't have even charged me and you think I'm coming back? You couldn't handle the oil change on a 4Runner. Y'all should be thoroughly embarrassed. And THAT, 100% factual with no "fake news", is why this is NOT worthy of the 5 stars Yelpers have given this place. read more

Sydney the boss man was extremely nice snd went beyond to help me. Cleaned leaves out of my windshield and explained everything they were doing. Gave me s floor fan to keep me cool. I wanted to share MY experience with this location. I took my vehicle to get serviced today by PepBoys for the simple fact that I needed my tires rotated also. The manager asked where I got my oil changed previously. I informed him at the Take 5 on 14th St in Bradenton. He showed me what one of the service techs did to my vehicle at this location. I was speechless. All I can feel is disgust that this occurred. If you notice, the vandalism was also on the oil filter, indicating it happened just before this. I went into the location and asked for a manager and was told to come back tomorrow. For obvious reasons I will no longer be returning to this location or any other. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Love this place hours until 7pm and the service didn't give me a hard time for for showing up at 635pm! Getting ready for vacation and they gave me a thorough and professional service. I've been there previously and service was decent. Today I stopped by for an oil change and left. The tech was sitting on the stairs out back as you pull up to enter. After several minutes he decided to put down his phone and guide me inside. Once we got inside he continued to listen to music on his cell phone and finish his texting. After a couple minutes he finally put down his phone and I decided to leave. I am not going to trust my engine oil to someone that clearly did not want to be there. read more
