To see an oil change place with 5 stars I thought forsure something had to be up. I have never seen that before and I was very skeptical. After browsing the reviews I thought what the hell, I'll give them a call and feel it out. I called and immediately someone answered the phone. I told him I need an oil change and asked when I could book an appointment. He said come in right now, again skeptical, as I didn't have a lot of time and I have never had an oil change that didn't take 2-3x longer than I expected it to. He said just pull up to the bays and if they are all full just park to the side and we will have you in soon. I pulled up and there was an open bay, without getting out of my car they had me drive it up onto the lift system...which made me a little nervous I had never done that before but they guided me on and I got out. Within 1 minute they had my car up on the lift and someone working on it. They checked all my fluids, tire pressure and added air to a tire that was low. How do I know this forsure? Because they let you stand there and watch your car get serviced? How many places let you do that anymore? No joke, I was paid and out of there in less than 15 minutes. Alex took great care of my car, we had a nice conversation, and I told them I was new to the area. They immediately said if you need transmission work, see this guy down the street, or body repairs go right there and pointed to another shop. Super helpful, they really turn them out there and I couldn't be happier! Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed! read more

Pulled in, explained what I wanted and 10 minutes later paid, tipped (not expected but they provided quick and courteous service so i chose to) and on my way. I went here based on reading all the 5 star reviews here on yelp.What I was very impressed by was being a woman an no one tried to up sell me on any other services!!!! My experience in the past from a chain oil service center let's just say it begins with AA____. They really TRIED to pull on over on me. My intention was to just get an oil change, but when I saw the price of the windshield wipers mentioned that I might need them. The boss, Ray, told the tech, but when I was summoned back to look at what was under the hood, the tech showed me the air-filter. It was pretty grungy, and I knew that it hadn't been changed in years, so I allowed the upsell (although, I don't normally appreciate being talked into something I don't need - but at least this time I did). However, being a senior, on a low fixed income, I couldn't afford both the air-filter and the windshield wipers, so I told Ray that I'd have to come back next month for the latter. The next thing I knew, Ray said "Happy Thanksgiving" and comped me the wipers! I was both in shock, and filled with gratitude. It is very rare for anyone in automotive service and repair to be so kind and generous to older, single women like me. They now have a customer for life! read more

Advertise $30 oil change. Ended at $55. Extra $25 for a "special filter". I change the oil myself usually, I get the filter at Walmart for $12. Midas charged me $20 for the whole job previously. read more

Most painless, quick, professional oil change I've ever had. Don't waste your time at a dealer or other lazy place. It's like a drive-thru, very efficient. Done in 10 mins. And only $62 for a full synthetic change and you get a $10 rebate... they also filled my tires and checked my windshield fluid. highly recommend. (Plus it's nice to hang out in the garage with them while they do it, you get to see how it's done and know they're giving you the right oil) read more

The whole team is very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Their customer service is excellent, they always want to make sure you are taken care of! They have always served me in a timely manner as well. I recently had an issue with my car burning oil so I they helped me over the phone and said to come in to make sure everything was okay. They checked everything, topped me off and put air in my tires! They are absolutely fabulous and I will never get an oil change anywhere else! Lifelong customer here! Beware. Check your receipts when doing business with these crooks. I was charged over $500.00 for a 50.00 service. When I called he claimed that it was an entry error. He had his copy of the receipt in front of him and wanted my credit card info again so he could charge the correct amount. Why ask for all the information again if you can simply use the copy of the receipt in front of you. read more

Drove right in and was out the door in less than 20 minutes... the guy asked me what kind of oil I needed... i said I wasn't sure, but i thought synthetic. he said let me check... looked under my hood, told me what i needed and how much it would cost.. he went right to work, changed my oil and filter, checked all my fluids... cleaned my wiper fluid tank, then showed me how to reset my notifications on my dash with the oil change setting... then he backed my car out for me and opened my door like a Valet!!! Something that always concerns me about going to oil change places is their tendency to try to upsell you things, even if you know you don't need them. As I had seen online that Zippy Lube was locally/family owned rather than a franchise, I decided to check them out. (Always support local!) I am glad I did, I found them to be very friendly, give good service at a good price with no upsell. Not only that but I did know that I needed an air filter, they did not have the one I needed in stock. So they went to get it, with no extra charge! I will gladly give them my business again and hope that others who support locally owned businesses in Sarasota will as well. read more
