I had an oil leak in my 2013 Audi SQ5. They informed me that I had to replace my top valve cover gaskets for my engine. This is normal on an Audi of this age. They replaced them for $642.68 and subsequently they leaked again. I was referred to their other shop in Venice Island to redue the job as they told me they had mechanics who work on Audi's. That shop informed me that it was also the fuel pump gasket and one of the valve cover gaskets that the other shop did incorrectly. They charged me again to redue the gasket and to degrease my car and also for checking it. This after I was told it was under their warranty. They subsequently charged me $545.36 and everything is still leaking. I have to do everything all over again at a qualified shop. I want all my money refunded or I will take this to court. I am sick and tired of unqualified mechanics working on cars they have no business touching. Do not use this company for any German car repairs. They do more harm than good. I await my refunds. read more

$2900 for a brake replacement on a CRV!!! $1000 just in labor! I was told the tires were old and damaged from the UV. NOT! Tried selling me an oil change too. Meter still had 30% left. My 92 year old neighbor went to pit stop to have his oil changed. After the oil change was done he was told his whole front end needed to be replaced with a written estimate of $4200.00. He returned home and over the next couple of weeks he noticed a small oil leak. He made an appt. And I went with him. They talked him into getting the whole vehicle checked for $50.00. Which he agreed to. After the mechanic checked it all out, he stated that the transmission was leaking and he needed to replace that . Also the oil pan gasket needed to be replaced. The estimate to replace the oil pan gasket was 900.00 in labor only. That did not include the gasket and replacement fluids. I questioned the mechanic since I used to work on cars. He said that is what was leaking when I told him that the fluid was not red nor burnt looking and that it was not leaking anywhere near the transmission. I also asked him how was the front end He replied there was nothing wrong with the front end it was in good shape. Contradicting the previous vehicle check and estimate. Then he told this 92 year old that there were cracks in his tires between the treads and could blow up while he was traveling on the highway. That he needed 4 new tires. Scare tactic When we returned home I checked every tire and there were now visible cracks between the treads. No leaks in or around the trans and no leaks near the front end. Be very careful if you are going to this place they will rip you off in a heartbeat. read more

Was told I needed valve cover gaskets changes a alternator battery spark plugs coils!!! paid 2600 dollars for shot work!! first broke down once I left shop!! they forgot to hook a hose up!! towed back there fixed it and broke down again! so I brought it to another Jsn and they said my valve covers were leaking due to a warped valve cover!! I paid another $484 free labor to get the same job done twice!! sad part is the car is still leaking from valve cover!!! Do yourself a favor and go to a name brand place who k owns how to do the job right the first time!!!!!! I would not recommend this Pitt stop failure shop to anyone!!!! read more

As the saga continues! Had 1700+ work done on A/C was told it was evap coil for sure. Replaced it! Still wouldn't hold a charge. Then was told it was A/C compressor that they could do for another 800+. They broke dash plastic, knocked out instrument lights, and the lastest was A/C fan wouldn't work but turned on emergency lights and messed with all the electrical from them removing steering column and dash. Spent my own time to find out that they never even started to tighten ground strap behind kick panel. If you get shoddy work done you were forwarned!!!!!!! read more

I only had a simple job (mounting a golf cart tire on the rim) yet the three shops I went to could not do it for various reasons; 1. The rim would not mount on their machine, 2. The technician that would do it was on vacation and no-one else could do it? 3. They were too busy to work in a job that would only take 5 minutes. No problem at JSN though. Although they were busy, they said they would do it within the next 30 minutes. In addition, because I asked about the failed Fix-a-flat repair, the technician brought the completed mount out along with the flat tire to show me the Fix-a-flat that my daughter had sprayed into the tire and the mess it had made. These guys are the best :) I bought an old truck to use around the house, brought it in for service and clutch service, on the way home it died, clutch went to the floor.... doh :( The problem is not part of the issue they fixed but it was close enough that they took responsibility and fixed it and covered the tow. Please be careful with this repair shop, brought my car in for an oil change, and was told I needed a rear brake job. When I went around back to see the vehicle the wheels were not even off the car. I told them no brake job. Brought it to another service center asked them to take the wheels off and let me know if I needed brakes. The mechanic called me in to look at the brakes, he said ma'am your brakes are brand new, I purchased the car 2nd hand and did not know the status of the brakes. When your gut tells you something is not right Listen. Please find a trust worthy automotive business and it's not this one. read more

I made an appointment for 10am for an oil change. It is now 3 hours later and they haven't even started on my car. They said that I needed to tell them when I needed my car back which is ridiculous because they never told me that when I dropped it off. Brought my vehicle in for A/C work.4/23/20, Received a call about 3 hours later with diagnosis and a price quote. $600. Ok, gotta have A/C git r dun. Received a call 2 hours later, job done. I asked if I had cold A/C now. The cheerful voice told me I had cold A/C. Picked up my vehicle after work, A/C is worse than before. Drove a couple of miles to verify, turned around and went back. A mechanic was leaving on his motorcycle as I pulled in. A look of surprise followed by a smirk. He goosed his bike and got out of dodge. Went in, explained that there was no improvement in A/C. The two guys behind the counter said the mechanic just left. Yeah. The guy that just smirked at me. No stopping to see what was wrong, why I was back, anything. Just beat feet. Obviously couldn't care less about the vehicle he just worked on. The guys behind the counter asked me if I could leave it there overnight. No other mechanics work there? They weren't closing for 1 1/2 hours. I am bringing it back 4/24/20. I remain optimistic that they will make things right. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS! STAY TUNED! 4/24/20 Brought my vehicle back this morning. Received a phone call about 4 hours later. The problem was diagnosed as a control cable that became disconnected during testing that was not noticed at the time. I was told it was refastened and that the A/C was working properly. Picked it up after work. The gentleman apologized twice and told me that I had a 2 year warranty on their work. The paperwork doesn't mention that fact, but... I must say that the A/C is now working better than ever. Nice and cold. Thank You Pit Stop for making things right. In March 2017 I had the professionals at the Pit Stop check out my car after a dealership in Venice informed me that I had an oil leak that was going to cost $2600.00 (I felt like a target). After a careful examination of my car I was told I did not have a leak. It has been 11 months since that time.
