I strongly recommend reconsidering before doing business with this facility. Our company operates a fleet of over 15 vehicles and has spent thousands of dollars here over time, so this feedback comes from significant firsthand experience. Recently, I had an unrelated issue with one of their technicians at a nearby gas station. When I later arrived to drop off my personal vehicle, I saw the same technician and attempted to address the situation professionally, as I was understandably concerned about him working on my vehicle. He laughed, ignored me, and walked away without any effort to resolve the matter. I then brought the concern to management. The response I received was simply that I was free to take my vehicle elsewhere if I was uncomfortable. There was no attempt to understand the situation, de-escalate it, or provide reassurance. Given the amount of business we have brought to this company, the lack of professionalism and customer service was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this facility and suggest others carefully consider their options. read more

When it came to paying the work they did, I asked calmly and nicely if I may have a specific type of receipt and that they may explain what type of Work they did on the Vehicle. One of the cashiers came at me strictly saying "no", and demanding to do it their way first. So tell me this, If I'm paying for their Work, the Customer needs to know what Work they did on the Vehicle right? How am I gonna pay without knowing what they did to the Vehicle? Even more Hilarious their funny "Manager" spoke strictly demanding to do it their way. Once I paid; which I did & was going to do from the start; which I did in the end, the cashier apologized to me cause he knew he was wrong. My final question is, What's the rush? DO NOT TRUST! I had my oil changed here and the mechanic cross threaded the drain plug and then painted over it all to prevent leak..... When I needed my next oil change my mechanic was afraid to remove it because he wouldn't be able to screw it back in. As a result, I need a whole oil pan replacement and was three quarts low on oil ..... this will cost about $880 in labor and parts to have done. I will definitely not be going back to Firestone. I always thought it was a reputable company but have lost my faith. I don't know if this was ignorance, laziness, or done so that I would have to come back and spend this money with them for my next oil change. read more

THEY RIPPED MY TIRE AND LIED ABOUT IT TO ATTEMPT SELLING ME A NEW ONE, BUT THEY GOT CAUGHT IN THEIR LIE AND TRIED MAKING IT RIGHT. We took our vehicle into Firestone for a tire patch and we were told it would be about an hour and a half. We went home and minutes later they called to ask if we were interested in a few additional services which we declined. We received a second call and were told the tire was unfixable and tried to sell me one of their tires. We declined. Upon returning to the shop the car was still on the lift and the tire still off. The manager told me the person on the phone was new and "didn't know" and proceeded to show me the tire. He showed me the place where the nail was (I knew this) but then showed me a big rip on the tire. I mentioned the rip was not there when dropping off the car, and he said the tire was completely flat upon pulling the car into the lift. I told him how improbable that was as I have driven there and had inspected the tire and tire pressure before leaving the house as well as upon arrival to the shop. I added that I had video of this. He asked me at this point to wait as he would see "what he could do for me." He came back and told me he had spoken to his employee and that he had told him "the truth." That the tire had a small cut but when taking the tire off, he (the employee) had caused the big rip. He said he would throw in a new tire at no charge and apologized. When handing me the key I asked for his employee's name but he refused to say it. He said he would talk to him and agreed with me when I made the comment that what his employee had done "was pretty bad stuff". As a returning customer, and fellow business owner, I am a disappointed at Firestone as they were dishonest and attempted to take advantage of me, even if they tried correcting their actions at the end. I always get nervous going into auto repair shops, because I don't know what to expect as far as treatment towards me, services and costs involved. I visited Firestone for a brake inspection on Wednesday. Manager Tony assured me it was free. The check took 20 minutes and I was outta there within an hour; he confirmed my front brakes were great, and the back ones had slight wear but no immediate replacement needed. Advised me to contact Toyota for the squeak; no issues found. Appreciate honest and helpful service from the manager Tony. I always appreciate it when mechanics are honest with me as he was and it makes a huge difference with who earns my business and loyalty as a customer. I went to Firestone on Bee Ridge as we have used their car services for over three years. Chris has left the business and two men were behind the desk. The air conditioner was not working and the dashboard displayed Action Required - Steering assist is reduced - drive with care. Quoted $1423.96 for A/C performance check, thermostat, and coolant fluid exchange. Gave me a tire quote that I did not request. They suggested I call for a ride home as I could ruin my engine by driving my car. They could have my car repaired by the end of the day. I viewed the quote and decided to leave. They warned me again about the damage I could do to my engine by driving the car. They charged me $49.68 for their A/C performance check. Their scare tactic did not work on this woman. I was referred to Sal at Scotti's Repair Service on Tuttle Avenue. Nothing was wrong with my car except it needed a coolant flush service that cost $80.25. I was particularly happy with the courtessy I received from Wes, who checked me in and told me exactly what to expect. He was clear, courteous, knowledgable and friendly. Here from out of town, car broke down at beach and had no choice but to tow it to this location they were the only one still open. Apparently my husbands key had gone bad, so they called and let us know - we said we had another key and would come pick it up. Came in and they charged us $130 just to tell us it was a key. My husband asked them how they could charge this much; the guy told them they had to put the car on the lift and then try new batteries in the key. This is the only mechanic we have ever been charged by to do a diagnostic - every other place we have ever been to calls us to let us know what is wrong and then ask if we want them to fix it. This place didn't even think to call to see if we had a second key before they tried messing with the key. read more

On a Friday I was looking for a trailer tire and they didn't have the right one, so Tony had one ordered to arrive on Monday. I was OK with this as I'm from out of the area and would be back Monday. On Saturday things changed and I called Tony letting him know I was in the area on Sunday...he wasn't sure the tire would arrive in time, but I'm pretty sure he made it happen because he called later in the day, telling me the tire would be there on Sunday (I was super happy). I arrived on Sunday in the afternoon with the trailer in tow, ready to have one tire replaced. In a matter of seconds (seriously), I was pulling close to a repair stall where a mechanic named Wes expeditiously changed out the tire for me (the place was busy too). When I asked Wes if he could check the other three tires for correct pressure, without hesitation he made it happen and corrected the low pressure on the entire trailer. Would I go back...YES I wish this crew and shop were closer to my neighborhood! Great job!!! read more

I brought my truck in and mentioned that it may need a new cv joint or boot because the driver side was clicking, when the called me to tell me that there was nothing wrong and that they took off the passenger side rotor which needed to be replaced, they never did a diagnostic prior to taking anything apart, instead they called me to tell me that the cv joint was fine, i had to tell them to run a diagnostic in which they determined that i needed to replace the rack and pinion which i did, over the week or 2 that followed i started to notice something was leaking where the truck was parked and not too long after I am now getting error messages telling me to check my oil filter because it mysteriously started leaking oil and had a damaged oil pressure sensor within 12" vicinity of the repair area. I had my oil changed in the last 4 months with 0 issues - Avoid this shop!!!! These damages were either done deliberately or by negligence on their part. read more

30 min oil change took 1 hour as the ordered wrong air filters, really? Your a complete auto store with a computer that tells you the order number. Not happy Went back again for oil change. Appt at 1 on a Saturday they took me at 110 great. Asked for wipers to be checked as well. Car done by 200 total cost 79$. I said last time was 52$ is it the wipers. Oh no he said we didn't check those. Wth I asked and now don't have time to wait for that. Why so much then. Wait hold on. Ok 52$ really so if I don't say anything I get charged 79$. I was so pleased with the service here I felt I must share! My husband called to see if I would be able to get a tire put onto rim. They were warm and eagerly welcoming. When I got there, there were several people waiting. My heart sunk. Tge gentleman quickly offered to take my tire and call me when it was done. He was incredibly friendly and I was thrilled with the option to come back. As he took my info, another very friendly employee said, "I can take care of the tire right now". The gentleman said it might take awhile but if I was interested in waiting, they'd put the tire on the rim, then the tire on my car, then align it. I had come prepared to wait so I got to work on some paperwork in the waiting room. In just over a half our from when I walked in, the tire was on the rim, the spare removed and replaced neatly tonics place under the Tahoe, a new tire was on and I was out the door! I am very unsatisfied with the manager Charles, I get there my tire was bigger than the car need so he told me the side I need is on the door and is not safe if I use different than that side so I follow his advice. he offered me an alignment $80 one time, $179.99 lifetime, I took life time, now he never offer me a road hazard , now 2 week later I get nail in my tire and I have to buy a new tire because this gentleman never offer to me that road hazard, I call him back and he told me I offer to you but you said no is a big lay, he even told me I don't want to spend money that way I say no, if I want to save money why I get the life time alignment?, I paid double but in a long way I will save money, so Charles don't put words in my mouth and do your job there. Never going back anymore. I had alignment done and had to go back the next morning because they did not do a very good job after driving my car for couple hours. Doug took care of my car both days btw, then after the car is done that next morning, my car sounds even worse than before! I notice another problem in my car that has a clanking noise sounds like my car is about to fall apart every time I make a turn. Due to work, Firestone dont pay my bills so i have to get another day to get it fixed! So the worker inside told me the car is done just going for a test drive, no one ever bother to tell me about the clanking noise whatsoever after the test drive. As soon as I pull out of that store and turn, i heard it right away even driving away everytime i turn. Im going to be honest, this is the worst experience i have ever encounter with Firestone! I could sue this place for negligence. My husband is very unhappy how Firestone take care of us while doing business with them for many years, he did a torque fixed in the bottom of the front alignment and said the bolts were so LOOSE and did not properly tighten the bolt after the alignment! Explain that?! If firestone can't measure the safety of the customer after doing business, how the hell should I trust you fixing my car again? Don't even waste your time coming here for alignment, they're so busy they forgot to tighten the bolt that can put your situation in a dangerous position driving off the road. I never had problem with firestone until either they hire a bunch rookies that don't how to take care of your care properly or new management. read more

I went to Firestone on a Wednesday afternoon for a 4 wheel alignment and full vehicle inspection in preparation for a cross country drive. They replaced a break light, and found a tire that was somehow placed on the rim backwards (removed, set back on correctly, rebalanced). I definitely noticed the ride was a bit smoother afterwards. Everything only took about 1 1/2 hours to complete. The final bill was only about $110. Everyone was very polite and professional. Needless to say, was very pleased with the service. read more

I had a 1:00 p.m. appointment for having all 4 tires replaced on my wife's Hyundai today. I was told, by them, last week that the installation would take more than an hour but less than two. I arrived at 12:50 p.m. and and gave them the key and set down in the waiting area. I reviewed e-mails and after an hour I thought I would see how the replacement was going. The Santa Fe was in the same place I parked it and nothing had happened at all. I went to the front desk and told them how disappointed I was and why did they ask for an appointment time if they were not going to honor it. I took the SUV and left. I am extremely unsatisfied with the management and service at this dealership. No respect for the customer. It is even worse because I have family that works in the corporate office and I know the tires are good and it is a well run organization, but the local dealerships have to do their job also. If the management at this dealership cannot honor appointment times and, at least, keep the customer updated regarding delays, then the management needs to be replaced. read more

I have been trying to resolve an ongoing "auto repair gone wrong" for my mother since February 3rd & have exhausted all avenues. My Mom drove into Firestone 4060 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34233 on 02/01/20 with a 2004 Kia Optima "running a little rough". She was told it would cost about $200, She was waiting for the car & was told they needed more time. They took her home. They continued to put her off & 3 to 4 days later the store called her & told her the engine had blown & it was not drive-able. Firestone gave her a rental car for 3 days to look for & take out a loan to buy another used car. They also "forgave" her the $1400 bill that would have been if they hadn't blown her engine. I want to get the word out that Firestone admitted they "did something wrong" & will not review the "recorded tapes" admitting that. They also are not willing to give her anything for a destroyed car or fix the car. The car has been sitting dead at the Firestone lot since February 1st, 2020. I have gone all the way up to the CEO sending a certified letter. Of course I'm sure Mr. Ferrari didn't look at it but it was assigned to Diamond Milan. After 4 months of poor customer service, delays & no empathy whatsoever on Firestone's part Mr. Milan writes: After review, our decision does remain the same. We are not in the position to provide assistance towards the repairs for the vehicle. This decision was based off the documents you provided, the invoice from Firestone Complete Auto Care, and the inspection report from Vanguard. I say: How do you go into a repair shop with a car that is running rough & has 61K miles & then the engine is blown? They say they didn't do it...How do you say it is my Mom's fault when she drove the car into your shop? Firestone made it HER problem not theirs. Not a business I want to deal with. BUYER BEWARE.
