    Vegan ramen

Takara had been sitting on my Dublin food list for way too long, so I finally made it happen. Pro tip: they don't take reservations: it's strictly walk-in. Translation? Either show up early or embrace the wait because this spot is no secret. Now, was it worth it? Absolutely. On a chilly or rainy Dublin day (which, let's be honest, isn't exactly rare ), a steaming bowl of their ramen hits like a warm hug you didn't know you needed. Rich broth, comforting noodles, it's exactly the kind of food that makes you forget about the weather outside. Also vegetarian friendly broth options available Would I line up again? Yes but with patience in my back pocket. Ratings: Food: 4.5/5 Service & Ambience: 4/5 Money's Worth: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 - Rainy day ramen therapy, totally worth the wait.

This hole-in-the-wall always has a line running out the door, so I knew I had to go. The sushi was super fresh, and made with good technique - it's always my favorite thing to find that pinch of wasabi inside. The inside was super cozy and the service was great. My friends ordered the noodles and the broth was not as flavorful and needed a lot of chili oil to bring up the flavor and the noodles were cooked properly. Overall a great little spot for a quick-ish bite

A smaller hole in-the-wall type of vibe. We were told by locals that this is one of the best places for Asian food around. Went on a Thursday night and had about a 15min wait in a line outside. We ordered ramen, soba, and gyoza, and found everything to be delicious. Good vegetarian options as well!

Ok, we got a spread of food from Takara and the majority of it was amazing! The ramen was delicious, their teriyaki chicken was hot and seasoned to perfection and the fish on each piece of sushi was super fresh! On top of it all the service was amazing and the atmosphere inside was cute, calm, and yet still somehow busy. We had to wait in line for about fifteen minutes for a table but they got us in very quick! The only thing I would add was that the sushi rice on their spicy tuna roll tasted a bit too gummy and I unfortunately had to eat around it. Other than this the fish was still very fresh and I had a wonderful experience! I would say my sushi roll was probably just made from a weird batch of rice!

Had lunch here with some colleagues while visiting Ireland. After eating and loving all the fish n chips I ate all week, Japanese food was a nice change. I ordered and devoured their tonkatsu orginal ramen. The broth was creamy and tasty. It was served with a generous amount of sliced pork and a perfect soft-boiled egg. I also ordered a side of their tuna avocado roll which was equally as enjoyable. The avocado was the perfect balance for the tuna. You place your order and pay at the counter before finding a seat/table. The food was ready in about 5 minutes.

    Review Highlights - Takara

Their miso soup was rich and delicious and the Harmony Set showed off some high-quality salmon and--and high-quality sushi rice.

The ambiance of the restaurant felt authentic. From the art to the decor to the serving trays/dishes and utensils. The restaurant has a nice intimate feel like you're having dinner with your family. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and helpful. We all started off with the sake pornstar martini. It was really good, a bit on the sweeter side. For all appetizers we had the edamame and gyoza. The gyoza included chicken and a nice sauce. It was a nice size portion (~6-7 pieces). Both were really good. For our main dish we had the Kimchi ramen, Maneki yaki soba and the spider roll. The ramen was a nice size portion and was packed with a variety of meats. My friend said the broth was really good and spicy. The Yaki soba was a perfect portion for me. It included roasted chicken, prawns, roasted pork and veggies. It was very flavor and good. It also came with a side of miso soup which was perfect. The spider roll was massive. There were 8 giant pieces and it was tasty! I also snapped photos of our neighbors Teppan salmon teriyaki and beef teriyaki. They said both were amazing. I've seen a few reviews mention the pricing is a bit higher but it was worth it in my opinion. The portions were a bit larger than what I've experienced before, the food was tasty, the drinks were good and service was great. They also do karaoke upstairs and it was actually pretty entertaining listening to them while we ate. There is an automatic 12% gratuity/service fee included but there is a note that you are not required to pay. Definitely keeping this on my list for the next visit.

The food at Zaruki is authentic and fresh; even the little green salad was delightful. Tempura was light and not greasy; the sushi was superb, as was the side of fried rice. I wouldn't recommend getting a bowl unless you have a big appetite, and you may not want to order any appetizers (it's that much food in the bowl - gotta love it). I had the tuna Ngiri and it was sooo good. Now I like to order it from my favorite sushi place back home; they left such a great impression. The atmosphere is lovely, clean, and welcoming. Ugh, they make me wish I were in Ireland right now lol. The service was excellent. Aside from making me smile with great humor and politeness, they also want to make sure you enjoy your meal. I just felt like it was all love, where they want to make sure that nothing is wrong. You don't get that everywhere. I also enjoyed the jokes and laughter, which might not be the norm (the politeness is, of course, probably the norm). I was a humorous customer who probably made them equally comfortable, which is incredible. That's why it is always important to be nice to your servers. I genuinely appreciate both my visits there (yes, I went twice; the place was that good and the vibe was that great, lol).
