Cool vibe and decorations. Yummy food. Biiiiig portions. Very generous with their protein (a big win in my book). Quick service. Nothing to complain about!
The food was fantastic, well-priced compared to quantity. Lots of food I might have ordered more than I can eat only regret not coming more hungry later but wanted to reduce going back to the room. We didn't have reservations but they were nice about it and said Jsut wait 5 minutes they were trying to get us seated fast on a Saturday. Very dark and romantic loved the tea.
Let's start off with what was good. The Rice balls were the best I have had, the ramen broth was excellent, presentation was very good and the white rice under the pork was delicious. Everything else was unacceptable. I have had Ramen all over the world and these were the worst ramen noodles I have ever had! A complete waste of money. Green tea in a glass with a tea bag? Where's the pot? The shredded pork was tasteless because all you could taste was spice. The service was good and the ambiance was as expected. If I had to come back for some reason I would get 03 rice balls, a miso soup and a water.
Very pleasantly surprised by this spot, the ramen was hands down some of the best I've ever had. The interior has a nicely curated vibe and lively atmosphere. The service staff can be a bit spotty but we went on a Saturday. It's very pricey but you get so much food. I got the seafood ramen, incredible. I would highly recommend this spot- especially on cooler, rainy days!
Stopped in on a Sunday late evening for dinner and the place was full, but we got a place in the front bar. They only have Guinness on tap, so we started with a couple bottles of asahi and the vegetarian spinach fried gyoza. The outside was perfectly crispy, but the inside was kind of bland. The dipping sauce did help a bit but would've liked a little more flavor. For our mains we got a seafood ramen, a black garlic pork ramen and the vegan devil's ramen. The seafood ramen was tasty, but we were hoping for mixed seafood like the menu says but it was really just fish. Some shrimp, squid, mussels or other seafoods would've been nice. The black garlic pork ramen was absolutely delicious. The pork was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The noodles were very fresh and light and the spicy sauce it was served with was flavorful. It was a kind of sweet chili sauce without much of a kick. The star was the vegan devils ramen. The spicy sauce was served on the side and was incredibly tasty. I would eat this sauce with anything. It does have quite the kick, but taste before you add it. We ended up adding this sauce to the other ramens as well. Pro tip: lightly dipping the pork chashu in this sauce was a game changer. The grilled tofu in this dish was also delicious. Overall, a great meal for all 3 of us. We were too full for dessert, but did see some on the surrounding tables that looked pretty good. The service was also really great. Our server was knowledgeable about the dishes and checked on us often.
The original tonkatsu ramen. Flavourful broth. Serving potion is generous. And I'd say it's pretty authentic. Love that the char siu is charred for that burnt taste. Location is along this alley and so cool to sit here people watching while slurping my ramen.
Stopped into the Ramen Shop for a warm bowl of comforting Ramen. We decided to sit downstairs, however We were lead upstairs because they apparently hold the downstairs for overflow (per the waiter). The upstairs seating situation was one that I despise the most. One long bench and multiple tables aligned in a row. This setup is used to fit as many couples into a space. The seating is way to close for comfort for my taste but we dealt with it. Hubby and I both chose the Tonkotsu Ramen and Gyoza. The Gyoza was delicious and stuffed full of meat. The Ramen was equally delicious, although I thought the noodles were a bit overcooked. The Chashu was some of the best I ever had. Overall we had a good experience and would come back if the Ramen urge hit us.
I must say before I begin, this is by far the best ramen and chicken katsu I've ever had. The food was all so fabulous. The flavors were there. The food was cooked right. The portions were perfect. I left their with a full stomach and a happy pallet. Their menu has a good variety to satisfy many tastes. The location is beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. The lighting is perfect for a casual meal or something more intimate. The one thing that ruined it for me was the service. By far the worse service I received here in Dublin during my seven days. We walked in and no one bothered to greet or seat us until we flagged someone down after 5 minutes. Then we sat right next to the staff's stations and not a single person took care of us for 20 minutes until we had to flag someone down. Then they got into a discussion of who should tend to us. Eventually they took our order and our door was delivered promptly. However, the I Ku time they came back at all was to remove empty plates. AGAIN, we had to flag someone else new to give us our bill so we could pay it. Again, we were seated next to all the staffs stations. Would I go there again? Maybe. The food was exceptional, but the service was embarrassing. Shame on the wait staff and cheers to the amazing cooks who clearly were the only ones caring that night.
I was so surprised with this place. Usually Europe does any type of Asian cuisine wrong (sorry) but this place was great. All 5 of us got different things and were very pleased with our broth, flavors, and noodles. Yes it's expensive but the portions are massive (could honestly be split between 2 people) and I think it's a fair price. Service was fine. Cool interior and lighting and art.
Loved! After being a little chilled from the tour bus top deck, this ramen was perfect. Great vibe/ambience. Nice/friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!
Felt like something warm between our walk from Trinity library to Dublin castle and stopped by Ramen Bar. There is an entire space downstairs with cool decor and the staff was so nice! Their salmon appetizer (forgot the name..) was delicious! They even had a kids menu and vege gyoza! Highly recommend!
Pretty good food here hidden within a sushi and bento box place. Towards the back is where you'll find The Ramen Bar I'm a dimly lit high top only seating. You have to wait to be seated, and you'll have to wait for a bit for your server to come to you and take your order but it's good. The tonkotsu original ramen was good and full of yummy pork flavor. The pork itself had a nice crust on the outside and sliced thinly for easier eating. I liked my curry karrage which is chicken based broth served with crispy fried chicken both white and dark meat. The curry flavor wasn't strong at all, but the fried chicken and the softened boiled egg was the best part. If you're in the shopping area here in Dublin, you should give this place a try especially on these cold and rainy days.

I stumbled upon this restaurant during lunch time and walked in to check it out. I immediately was greeted by super friendly wait staff who gave me a seat at the front window and explained the menu and lunch offerings. For 17€, I was able to get their lunch time special of one ramen and an appetizer. I got the kimchi arancini and it was absolutely delicious and something unique that I had never had before. The ramen was also very good and extremely filling. I couldn't finish both so I had a good amount of leftovers to take home for dinner making it an even better deal. Highly highly recommend. The restaurant is more dimly lit and chill. Could be the perfect place to meet up with friends bring a date etc. definitely recommend if you're in the mood for Ramen! read more
Date: Monday, June 22nd, 2026 Time: around 1pm Party of: 3 Meal: Lunch *Gyoza (€10.95) *Set Tostadas x2 *Set Karage *Chilli Beef *Original *Tonkotsu Red (€18.50) *Sencha Green (€3.50) *Kirin Beer (€6.95) *€19.95 Set Menu (€19.95) x2 *Cold Sake 300ml (€12.95) It was kinda gloomy so naturally I wanted some soup. Or maybe I just missed Asian food since we had been away from home for almost a week. Anyways, we decided to walk into Ramen Bar and have lunch. We were seated right away, but in this weird alcove with a broken light hanging down, so it was kinda awkward to find a comfy spot. We all ended up getting a set menu plus an app and some drinks. The gyoza was tasty. Satisfied the dumpling craving. I didn't care for the tostadas since they were kinda sweet. I did enjoy the ramen tho. Broth had good flavor. Tho I wanted more heat in my red one. The chilli beef one was savory and meaty. I really enjoy that one. Good food, Not the best seating comfort wise. Plus the place is very dark. Still glad I got to try some noodle soup in Dublin. REVIEW #4113 read more

Go to Ireland to have an amazing bowl of ramen? I would have called you crazy. Yet, there hubs and I were, twice during our vacation, noshing ramen in Dublin. When I'm on vacation abroad, I want to try a new restaurant (or five) every day. But Ramen Bar was calling us back. The first time, we sat downstairs and had the whole thing to ourselves before the dinner rush. Our waiter was super accommodating and friendly and made our time there really enjoyable. The second time, we sat upstairs and received less than attentive service. I believe they only open the downstairs dining area for dinner, so go then if you can. They offer a complimentary one-bite appetizer while you're perusing the menu or just after you order. I thought this was a nice touch. The nikuman are seriously good. Perfectly soft on the outside with a luscious spiral of pork on the inside. I could eat twenty. The star of the show is really the Kokoro Tonkotsu Black. This bowl brought me back to when I lived in Japan. It's rich and perfect on so many levels. I should have ordered it again the second time we went, but I tried the salmon ramen instead. It wasn't as flavorful, of course. It's really all about the tonkotsu. My husband nearly died over his bowl of spicy chicken ramen, he loved it so much. I tried a bite, and the chicken was beautifully tender. He's practically begging me to go back to Dublin just to visit Ramen Bar. What a weird concept! Anyway, I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Go for dinner and sit downstairs if you can. And order the tonkotsu black and nikuman! read more

Found this place on Yelp while visiting Dublin, Ireland recently. I was craving ramen so this place was perfect. I ordered the kokoro tonkotsu black ramen and chicken karage. Initially, I was told that their fryer was not working so they weren't sure if I would get the karage. The ramen and broth were very flavorful along with a generous amount of sliced pork and noodles. I did not realize that this particular ramen did not include a soft boiled egg. Looking back at the menu, only about half their ramens come with the egg. You can always add one for 2 Euros. The fryer was fixed when I was almost done with my food and told them to bring on the karage anyways. It was delicious with a light ginger flavor. This place is slightly more expensive than the places in the bay area in California but definitely filled my ramen craving... read more

Ramen was delicious! Pork literally fell apart while picking it up and there was a secret second egg hidden underneath all the stuff on top. Super filling, couldn't get through a whole bowl alone. Loved it. read more
Who eats ramen on their first night in Dublin? *slowly raises hand*..... When we heard that the Ramen Bar was the only place in Ireland with a legit Japanese noodle machine, we had to come and see for ourselves how well this place compared to our favorites back home. The back ramen bar was full when we arrived around 8 on a Sunday night, but they immediately stated that we could dine up front and order off of the ramen menu. I got the Tonkatsu Red (spicy) to compare it to my favorite spicy ramen at Daikaya in DC. The ramen came with a complimentary appetizer (fried dumpling). They were pretty good! Onto the ramen. The Charsui pork was delicious and a generous portion of 4 or 5 slices. The broth was very flavorful and just the right level of spice. The infamous noodles from the only Japanese noodle machine in Ireland were good, but I've yet to find a ramen noodle better than Daikaya's. Overall, the meal and service were great! I recommend coming if you're interested in seeing how Dublin throws down in the ramen category. read more

I lost my Ramen virginity here. Do I regret choosing this particular noodle bar? Nope, not at all. The decor of the bar resembles one of those interiors you get to see in Japanese movies. Instagram worthy, that's for sure. Now for the real review. The server was a gentleman by the name of Eduardo. Not particularly warm, not too cold and unapproachable either. We were seated almost immediately. Everyone has their ups and downs so I wouldn't blame a person for seeming to be slightly annoyed at the world. Any who, we placed our orders. Spicy Torishio Ramen for me and Spinach Yasai Ramen for the lady. We received complimentary starters which was a cucumber with salmon on it. Not a fan of raw fish so I didn't particularly enjoy it, but my partner did so yay! The main dish arrived shortly in about 10 minutes. Quick service, I'll give them that. The portion size was large and the chunks of chicken in my Ramen dish made me smile as I'm a chicken lover and seeing the cooks not skimp on it made me happy. I've never had ramen before and trying it for the first time here, I loved it. It was filling and satisfying. The noodles were well cooked, the meat was well seared and spicy as the menu said it was. The flavours were popping as I tasted each of the different additions of ingredients in the ramen soup. I'll say this and close of that subject, I loved it and I would definitely come back and have it again. Price: expensive enough as far as ramens go. Haven't been to much but 30 quid for two people? Bit reaching there I'd say. I maybe wrong but I just felt it was a tiny bit expensive for just two dishes of ramen but hey the portion sizes were huge and filled us both so I'm content with that. Only gripes were that the staff could've been a bit more friendlier and smiley. I'll go back again some time and edit this review down the line. With that I sign off! read more

Disappointing first (and ever visit). Found them on Yelp, and I was expecting great service since they are located in a heavily touristy area. Wrong. I ordered Kokoro Tonkotsu Black, and Ebi Katsu. After a minute wait, I flagged my server when I noticed the couple behind me got their order before I did, and I was there first. The server then came up to me and said, "are you ready to order?" - I said, "you already took my order", and I must've said this too loud because the couple behind me said "Ooopss!", and laughed. So anyway, I gave her my order again, and waited another 20 minutes! So I waited a total of 50 minutes for mediocre ramen, served with cold pork chashu :/. (yea really disappointing) they gave me one piece of complimentary gyoza that was bland for my taste. The saving grace was the Ebi Katsu, crunchy, flavorful, and sauce was great. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience for me, and ramen had nothing on the ones I have had in the Bay Area, so, I do not plan on coming back. The server apologized for forgetting to process my order, but she didn't really do enough to save my experience. read more

Rating this ramen place by Japanese ramen standard will not be fair to The Ramen Bar. Afterall, this is Ireland and they are not known for good ramen. It's a bowl of mediocre ramen which if you are craving something asian after getting meat out, then this will be a good alternative. This is also the first ramen joint that I have ever given an amuse bouche. Warning: Do not order the okonomiyaki! I repeat, do not order. It's the worst okonomiyaki ever! Doughy and basically just all dough and more dough. This is no way resemble any okonomiyaki I had in Japan, not even close. Even if it is, it tasted terrible. read more
What a nice spot! If you're looking for high quality ramen in a tasteful ambiance, look no further! There are a lot of options, including several vegetarian soups, and everything seemed unique and filled with good ingredients. We got the spicy salmon and the spinach ramens, both of which were filling and delicious. Service was really nice as well. The only downside is the price - this is very expensive food! I would come back here if I had money burning a hole in my pocket or wanted to bring a friend somewhere nice. Otherwise, it's a little too pricy for a regular visit. Still, I would recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys a good bowl of soup. read more
