Overpriced and not all that good. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly, but definitely won't be back.

Yamamori, Dublin So I spontaneously went down to Yamamori Izakaya Sake Bar and I rate my experience a 3/5. What we ordered: Passionfruit Lemonade It was pretty nice. A bit sour at times but enjoyable :) Irish Wagyu Gyoza They weren't bad, no wow factor for us but it was a decent starter Chicken Katsu Curry The Katsu Curry was nice. Appearance-wise it looked great and personally, I think it tasted good too. Tonkotsu Ramen The ramen was okay. For me it was a bit bland, but adding salt, pepper and soy sauce definitely helped making it way more enjoyable.

Pretty restaurant and delicious desserts! This restaurant is beautifully decorated and very open and roomy-- a wonderful atmosphere to dine in. The menu has a huge selection of Japanese foods but I settled on the beef on brown rice in a stone pot. It was pretty good for the most part but I requested my beef medium rare and got overly well done meat that was way too tough. The rice is that reddish purplish rice that's super delicious. There was some vegetables in the rice but it didn't have much flavor and I ended up adding teriyaki sauce and a bit of gochujang. I had to eat it all really slowly as the pot was piping hot but no complaints there! The service was very good the whole way through and I had 3 scoops of ice cream for dessert: vanilla, coffee, and green tea. The ice cream was amazing and I would definitely go back just to get ice cream if I had the opportunity. I have no reservations recommending Yamamori to all!

    Rainbow roll

Had dinner here the other night. Had the rainbow roll, tempura shrimp, tofu steak, and a strawberry roll (seemed to be a salmon roll topped with strawberry slices and cream cheese). The portions are quite large, the rice used is a healthier purple (?) rice. For dessert, we had the matcha cheesecake, banana toffee tart, and the panna cotta. The food was pretty good.

Yum. Delicous food at great prices. I really like sitting in the outside patio out the back as well. It's comfy, shielded from the wind, and they've speakers set up for some nice musical atmos. They have a cover over it as well in case the weather turns unexpectedly inclimate, which we all know isn't highly unlikely in Ireland! I got the spider roll and the prawn tempura and both were really fresh and absolutely delicous. The spider roll is massive by the way - you could nearly share it with someone else if you got another side between you. The staff are really nice as well, and the whole place just has a general good vibe.

A "Wackychino" I used to love their Espresso Martini but they've taken it off the menu, this is a nice twist on that

Let me start off by saying that I love this place. I have been going for years. The food is imaginative and delicious, it is a lovely place for all occasions, and the staff are always friendly. I have however noticed a significant price increase in the last year and I feel that the prices are no longer fair. I have also noticed portion sizes decreasing. I used to adore the Tofu Steak which was taken off the menu, and subsequently redesigned and brought back. The new Tofu Steak is much smaller and no longer comes with a selection of veg and salad. It is now served on a bed of a few pieces of pak choi, and yet the price has risen. I still think they do lovely food but I feel that they are coming across as a bit greedy of late, and nobody likes that.

Salmon and avocado roll is quite large

Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The prices for rolls looked high compared to other restaurants, but when the roll came to the table I could see why. Much larger serving per roll than I usually see in the States. The salmon and avocado roll was very fresh and tasty. The salad with crispy salmon was also very good. Server was friendly and food arrived quickly. Just a little slow to bring the tab after the table was cleared. Maybe she was waiting for me to give a clear indication I had finished my tea? To be fair, I was probably giving mixed signals. Also, I have to agree with Brian. It was easily 25+ degrees in the restaurant. I had just spent the morning walking around at Trinity in cold blustery November weather and I thought it felt like heaven, but any other time I think it might have felt too hot.

It might not be a prophetic catch phrase, but I never expected a ramen joint like this during my travels to Dublin. The dense menu of ramens galore nearly suffocated my appetite because they all sounded magnificent. The cons in service were entirely made up for when these deluxe bowls of ramen landed on our table. The size gargantuan, the aroma intoxicating, and satisfaction guaranteed. Garlic Lovers Ramen - It starts with Tonkotsu AND Miso broth, which was redonkulous. Then the fried onion, grated garlic and black garlic oil elevated the bowl into one of the most intense ramen flavors I've had. The grilled chicken was odd, as expected, it just dried out too quickly. The Seasoned Egg (phenomenal!) tied the entire dish together. The Garlic Lovers Ramen from Kokoro officially landed a certified place in my ramen hall of fame. #BeastFromTheEast may have hindered our Dublin trip, but Kokoro warmed our souls during our final night. I had chicken katsu curry which was delish and great value at €9 for the curry, two pieces of sushi and a can. I got a good chuckle out of that; it definitely goes to show you sushi's pretty new here in Ireland and people aren't totally prepared to eat loads of raw fish. Luckily, Sushi King offers chicken sushi. That probably makes a lot of people feel safe and secure, but I think it sounds gross and stupid. If you're going to eat chicken, eat chicken! Don't fork over too much money to eat "sushi" that... isn't. I've been stuffing myself silly with sushi for 10 years and have been dying for some but have been turned off by the high prices here in Dublin. So I was excited for the 30% off they offered on the flyer under the shark. I got the Fish Fetish platter, which consisted of 6 nigiri, and 4 maki. I thought the nigiri was excellent. The fish was very fresh and delicious. I thought the rolls were a little less exciting; the rice to filling ratio was off, and I felt a little gypped. They were still tasty though. The whole platter was 9.20 before the discount, but I wasn't full afterwards. It just wasn't enough food, simple as that. For that kind of money I could have stuffed myself silly twice over.

Overall the food was enjoyable! I absolutely loved the oysters. The mignonette was to die for and was a unique spin I hadn't had before. It felt like an oyster shooter, which made the value seem all the better. For our main course we split the sushi for two platter. It had sashimi, a few different roll options, and nigiri as well. The classics were great, and the rolls were interesting! The only thing I didn't love was the mayo on the tuna roll. Aside from the food, the service was a bit mixed. Everyone we interacted with was fantastic, but service was a bit slow and there had been items added on our bill that we didn't order. Easily fixed, but that took a bit more time.
