NEVER BUY A CAR FRON TAJ AUTO MALL!! II bought a 2015 Audi A4 Premium Plus ftom Taj Auto Mall The experience was a disaste. Upon receipt of the car, I had it checked out by my mechanic. Found out that there was approximately 4,000.00 in damage to the suspension. Some of the pre-existing damage had to be addressed immediately in order to make the car safe to drive. Additionall, the passenger side visor is broke. Taj Auto Mall has done absolutely NOTHING to remedy the situation. They refuse to take responsibility for the damage. I am handicapped and require the installation of hand controls in order to drive, so I could not take the car for a test drive. Taj Auto Mall did a really great job in taking advantage of a disabled person. read more

Great experience here, except one thing: they gave me $200 coupons for referring customers that purchased a car from them. I brought in 3 people who bought cars and they only paid me $200 for one person, $0 for another, and $100 for another because they said they "changed their policies" - I don't think they expected me to bring in 3 people who all purchased vehicles like I did. Kinda shady to go back on that, when I had the $200 referral bonuses in my hand. Other than that I think they're great and work with people who haven't had the best credit history. So I would give 5 stars if not for them not paying me the referral fee once and then reducing it by half another time. read more

Went here and looked at a Chevy Spark. They said they ran both of our credit and if we had $1000 to put down we could drive off the lot with the car. We came back the next day with the $1000, only to wait there for 3 hours!! We still didn't get an answer in that time, so we left! Stand by your word. We have an online business, we both work and had money down and it still wasn't enough. This place is ridiculous. Also Bob really has no clue what he's doing. If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would! Purchase a german brand car and within hours of getting it home, it starts grinding when turning. Transfer case is bad, confirmed by our local certified Dealer. Take back to Taj as it is under 30d dealer warranty and they leave it sit for 1 week while they "get approval" for purchase of USED parts. The repairs haven't even been started, no loaner car, no phone calls for updates. I've been hung up on multiple times when I call for updates. It needs to be fixed correctly with NEW parts. My lawyer will have fun with them...RUN RUN RUN very fast!! read more

I bought a car here. Not badly priced but the sales associate told me how he had been in and out of prison 7 times. He was very inappropriate. After I bought the car, he was high fiving everyone telling them how he got a sale. He made me feel like I made a bad decision. Then when he put on my licence plate he used 2 self tapping screws and drilled into my newly bought $20,000 vehicle. I called repeatedly about trying to get it fixed but no one would return my call. I had an appointment at 6 pm to see a that I had already transferred money into my bank for, (paying cash) purchased a 30.00 car fax, and lined up insurance for. 20 min from my appointment time and 25 minutes drive time in I received a call from a member of the sales team stating he was sorry a deposit had been put down on the car but to come on up he had other cars that would interest us. NO THANK YOU!! I'm not sure if it was a bait and switch gig or if it's common practice to blow off an already set appointment, either way it is poor business. This is the worst, most unethical dealership I have ever experienced. I have purchased many, many vehicles in my 50 years, but I have never experienced CROOKS like this in my life. They sold me a $4,000 vehicle that immediately needed $5,000 worth of repairs. The car had NO HEAT. I immediately emailed Ray Lavigne when I got home from purchasing it, telling him that the car had no heat and that he should not have sold me a vehicle without such a basic necessity. I got NO RESPONSE from him. The car would have been a death trap if I did not immediately take it in to my mechanic to get the heat fixed. The laundry list of non-functioning things included the head gasket, which is the most labor intensive thing on a car, adding a ton of extra dollars to the total repair bill. I reached out to them at TAJ to make things right by me, and they couldn't care less. Buyer Beware. They did NOTHING for me. They got their commission, and just couldn't care less that I am a single Mom with two kids that I need to drive around in that vehicle. Couldn't care less. Shame on Taj Auto Mall. This is the worst example of a car dealership I have ever experienced. Was there weeks ago to test drive a vehicle and I'm still waiting for a call back in regards to my trade. I was ready to buy and if someone would have had the decency to respond to my email I would have done so. They have zero customer service and the way their computer system works is ridiculous. Do not pay attention to the other sites reviews as the reviews are written with Al or the other sales people standing over the person watching them write the review. Paid 6000 (fair price) for a car. Drove for 650 miles and check engine light came on. 3600 later and i have a reliable vehicle. Either their mechanics are incompetent, they are dis honest, or i got a car with 3 significant issues all failing at the same time 650 miles after purchasing from this dealer. Don't let my first statement make you think that this isn't a serious review but this place is absolutely garbage. I was interested in a vehicle that they had and I was planning to go and buy it. I called an hour before I went and they said that they had the car. Once I got there (drove about an hour by the way). Nobody even knew what I was talking about and they spent about 10 minutes looking and did not know where the car was or if they even had it. While on the phone they sounded very unprofessional. Never asked for my name and never gave me their name. The salesman that greeted me when I got there was probably worse than a Walmart employee on their first day. I have them my number to call me once they find the car but at this point even if they find the car, I won't be buying from them. Never shop here. READ THE YELP REVIEWS. A little over a month ago. I picked this dealership because they had a 3 day exchange policy. I told the car salesman (Yamon) that I was looking to finance a car for $7000 or less that was SAFE. He showed me one car has me test drive it and asked me if I like it, I said yes because it was an ok car. He told me to give him a minute and next thing I knew he is asking how much I want to put down on the car. That one yes turned into I want to buy this car, since it seem like a nice car and in my price range (on the high end) I decided to go for it. He said that I could exchange the car anytime within 3 days and even bragged about the fact that only 2 customers have ever wanted to exchange a car after buying. After waiting hours, I'm called to the office and I'm told it took so long because I have a soft credit score of 790, that didn't sound right. Turns out the car that cost $6700 they ask the bank for an $11000 loan. The extra loan amount was coming from them adding two warranties for almost $4000 without asking me once if this was what I wanted. One warranty was for if anything breaks on the car which I would have agreed to get had they asked because the car had over 120,000 miles on it already. The other warranty was just a GAP insurance which I did not need, but instead of waiting for a few more hours for them to correct this I figured I would cancel it later on my own. So I sign all of the papers including the paper saying that I had 3 day to exchange as long as I did not go over 150 miles. I finally get out of there and go home. That night on my way to work the car hesitated when I went to start it up and right there I knew that I did not feel safe in that car. After trying again it started just fine, but then I found out that the controller for the side mirrors was not working which meant electrical problems. I don't know what caused that to happen but I work 3rd shift and I need to feel safe with my car. So I decided to take the car back and exchange it. I get back to the dealership in the morning after work to exchange the car. I tell them that I don't feel safe and the reasons why, they spend a few minutes telling me that they can fix the mirrors and the car started up fine when they tried it. I just wanted a car I could feel safe in and I told them so, I have to wait for them to come and tell me that my car was not qualified for the 3 day exchange because it was over 100,000 miles. I pointed out that I was told that it was and that I had even sign papers saying it was. They said they would fix this since they made a mistake. Their plan was to buy the car back and sale me another one but this would cost me a couple thousand dollars because they couldn't buy the car for what they sold me. I had the car for two day and only drove it for 90 miles and it was costing me a couple thousand dollars, I was very angry at myself and them. I was tired and just wanted to be in a safe car so I said fine. After finding a car that I would feel safe in, I had to wait over 7 hours for everything. The new car which cost over $7000 plus the over $2000 loss in value that was now added to my cost, plus the now over $5000 for three warranties (which they once again didn't bother to ask if I wanted), had my loan at over $15,000 on a car that when was brand new cost a little over $16,000. I week later I got a few letters in the mail tailing the reason that I was rejected for the car loan was due to "Excessive loan to collateral value". Three different banks sent me that same reason. To cancel the warranties I had to go back to the dealership. After owning the car for less then a month. The car turns out to have a cracked water pump. So another unsafe car. After taking the car back to the dealership they didn't offered any loaner car so I was stuck with no car until they could fix the problem. After 7 day with no car and a very angry phone call later I finally got this lemon back which I plan to sell as soon as I can. So if you are not a mechanic or have one with you STAY AWAY. read more

Sad to say I didn't get past the inquiry process online. I emailed to inquire about a car and received a generic email almost immediately from their online staff member Peggy. She had asked me if I wanted to come in the very next day to look at the car . I thanked her for getting back to me so quickly and said I just wanted to know a few things before I stopped in then inquired about their extended warranty options, damage done to the vehicle (beyond what car fax said) and what their interest rates were like -on July 28 ... aug 11 I sent an email saying hello I never head back from you. She responded with a short informal "Hey Zoe, It involved the left side impact with another motor vehicle. Damage to Front, Left rear and Rear but No Airbags were Deployed. Does this help clarify for you?" No actually it didn't because she basically read off the car fax and didn't even acknowledge my other two questions. I expressed that in my next email and she responded that she would find the Answer for me (aug 14). A couple days later I didn't hear back so I went to call to get better customer service and they said the car was no longer available. I waited a few more days to see if Peggy would let me know and I heard nothing so on august 21 I emailed her telling her to forget my inquiry and I'd look elsewhere .. do you think I ever even got email back ? NOPE. totally rude and awful customer service. It's a shame one person had to ruin it for the whole company. Internet inquiry's are super important for company's nowadays. They were trying to sell frame damaged reported car which they didn't disclose to us but I found out myself. Later larry sends messages that I wasted his time cuz I didn't buy the car, like really? Test drove 2 honda civics on a late afternoon. The first had a damaged tire and suspension issue. The second car ran solid. As I was purchasing the second vehicle I was promised id be taken care of if anything came up. When I got home and washed the car I noticed multiple dings and dents. Took forever to have anyone get back to me with a solution and then the dent removal person was told that they could only repair a few of the issues. This was after the dent person identified it had been in a hail storm and showed me the dents and called AL. Would NOT recommend to anyone!!!!!!!! read more

I drove over 2 hours on 5/20/2017 to see a Hyundai Santa Fe and felt a little "rushed" to make a deal without seeing the vehicle at first. The vehicle was at another facility, and we saw and test drove the vehicle. There were a few things we saw "visually" that needed to be done, and I wrote down the list and gave to Al. The SUV was just sent over to this facility, so, it was not "checked" out 100%. The carfax for this vehicle from TAJ Auto Mall website, showed no liens and a clean record. I left a deposit to Hold the vehicle. When I arrived home, I went onto several car websites; particular cargurus.com and saw this Hyundai Santa Fe had "ACCIDENT/FRAME DAMAGE". I noticed this vehicle was being SOLD, way below Kelly Blue Book but, I thought I was getting a "good deal". I WILL NOT be purchasing this vehicle and my check will not be "cashed". I am VERY DISAPPOINTED...after traveling so FAR to see this car. It's a good thing I checked the Internet, when I got home AGAIN...about this CAR !!! read more

This place is the absolute worst! I had gone there to look at a used 2014 Ford Escape. Before I even scheduled a test drive I had received a text saying I missed an appointment with them. I called there confused as I never made an appointment and they kept asking if I was sure I didn't make an appointment. I told them I didn't but I was going to be down on Saturday (today). I ended up scheduling an appointment for Saturday at 2:15. I told them I live an hour away so I asked if they could email me pictures of the car, to which they said they just got the car in and didn't have pictures. Suspicious, I still went down for my appointment which they messed up and had it for Monday!! Luckily they took full responsibility for that at least. The rest of the experience was a nightmare. The car itself had dents and scratches and the interior had large tears in it! The salesman, Al, only let my husband drive it, even though it was my appointment. The alignment was off and when I asked Al about it, he said "Oh, that can happen with low tire pressure" and just shrugged me off. There was also a recall on the car that I found on carfax and when I asked Al about that he said he wasn't able to tell me what it was. Then, I asked we would have to bring the vehicle to Taj Auto Mall for all services and Al said yes. I immediately looked at my husband and said "let's go" because I wasn't driving an hour for services. I told Al that but he was being very pushy and then when I brought up the damages to the car, he kept interrupting me and would let me even speak. That entire place is shady.
