Service was on par tonight, cocktail girls with free shots were brought around to each of us in addition to a dessert at closing: chocolate jelly shots. We will return if they keep up the high dollar DJ names. Give 'em a try- there are different theme nights. It's a restaurant so might have good food. I immediately started to shake and ask "what, why, there weren't any blackout dates or anything preventing me from making reservations? The hostess only said " you will need to go online and purchase tickets". I was in utter disbelief that this was happening. The hostess was not apologetic or anything. Aura this is unacceptable and this ruined my birthday night. Why would you not call, text or email and let me know the reservations would be cancelled and I needed to pick another time and date? There were no alternative solutions provided just a simple " go online and purchase tickets." Aura you all have to do better with notifications to inform your paying patrons of cancellations especially when they are celebrating a special day.

When I closed out my tab, everything appeared normal--I paid and tipped as usual. However, the following morning when I reviewed my bank statement, I noticed that gratuity had been added after the fact, which I did not see or authorize at the time I paid. I reached out to my friend, and she confirmed that gratuity was also added to her tab, though she did not realize it at the time. I returned to the lounge once they reopened and spoke directly with the owner. He explained that gratuity is sometimes added and that he leaves it up to the individual server to decide whether or not to apply it. I explained that gratuity had not been added during my visit on January 9th, and that this issue only occurred on January 18th. While the explanation suggested that gratuity should have been applied, the concern was that it appeared to be added after I had already paid my tab, without upfront notice. To his credit, the owner did address the issue and refunded the gratuity. That said, the lack of clarity around gratuity policies raised an eyebrow for me. As a patron, I believe it's important to be informed upfront whether gratuity is automatically added, applied selectively, or left to the discretion of the server--especially when payment is finalized electronically. I had the salmon egg rolls which were good and the green sauce was delicious. One of the most irritating parts of the visit was waiting almost 30 minutes for hookah when nobody was in there. We had to hunt down a server because we didn't see our original server. Our server had to put tape around our hookah hose to "ensure it stayed together." YIKES!! On top of that, there was maybe 15 people total in the building now and most were at the bar. A server came by and said "Someone just bought this section, so we're going to have to ask you to move." Please keep in mind that the entire venue had no one in the sections and everyone was at the bar. There were AMPLE seating options to choose from. That instantly ruined everyone's mood and we left immediately after! Did I have a poor experience, yes. But I will say that the TVs are huge, making it a good place to watch sports. There's a bunch of sections and little room to stand, so be aware if you don't want to buy a section. The servers (when they came around) were pretty and nice. I can also see this place being fun when there are more people are there. This place has all the elements to be a good time, but the death of these types of establishments will be the poor customer service and the robbery of the automatic 18% service fee for doing absolutely nothing.
