On Saturday, I was invited to a birthday brunch for a coworker at Lula Belle's. I parked in the back, not realizing that I would have to walk all the way around to get to the front door. When I arrived, the bouncer at the front was very nice and friendly. I walked in and my party was waiting on me to be sat. The decor in the restaurant is photo shoot worthy. Our waiter was Ray who had all the energy and vibes to ensure that your experience is everything that we needed to be plus more. I was satisfied with the drinks and the drink prices. The food was presented well and came out in a reasonable amount of time . I ordered the grits flights and my best friend ordered the red snapper and grits. Honestly, the food was good, but it wasn't over flavorful. Combined with the vibes and good company plus great customer service- I would definitely come back. Ray was the best part of the experience! read more

I really wanted to like Lula Belle's, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to the price. The dishes looked promising, but the flavors were very underwhelming. The Creole sauce tasted mostly like oil, and the grits were very watery with little flavor. Overall, the food felt very low-mid quality despite being on the expensive side. The one bright spot was the mimosas--they were actually really good and probably the highlight of the meal. Service itself was fine; the staff was polite and professional. However, everything took a very long time to come out, although I do believe the food was cooked fresh. As far as the ambiance, the live DJ music was definitely a vibe, and the restaurant itself was clean inside, which I appreciated. One thing to note is that gratuity is automatically added, so just be aware of that when you receive your bill. Another downside was the seating--the chairs were not very comfortable, which made the long wait times feel even longer. Overall, I left feeling disappointed given the prices and expectations. I hope they improve the flavor and consistency because the place has potential. read more

Service: 5 stars/ Food: 3.5 stars Jelissa was our server and she was super sweet, personable and very attentive. We went as soon as they opened so it was fairly empty but it still had a nice vibe. They had a good playlist in rotation. I ordered the Bella's Bull and it was AMAZING! It's made with Reposado, watermelon redbull and passion fruit! Def will be my go to when I go back. I ordered spinach dip, a Cesar salad and truffle fries. The spinach dip comes with naan --I enjoyed it! The salad was good and fresh. The truffle fries were just okay. I would not order again. I also tasted the fried corn and salmon bites (I didn't care for these items.) Lastly, I tried the garlic mash potatoes and as basic as this side seems they were really good-- seasoned well and creamy ! read more

I absolutely love Lulabelle's. The vibes are always great, they usually have a DJ, and the lighting is low and vibey lol. I live not even 5 mins from here so if I'm not waiting to stay i'll order a plate to go. I'm never disappointed. The only thing is you can't order to go over the phone and if you are waiting a table it's best if you make a reservation. You can also sit at the bar though. Their lamb chops, mashed potatoes, and broccolini were all 10/10. The drinks are very cute too! Definitely a birthday dinner spot. read more

First and last time here. Came for brunch and was surprised to have to show ID and be checked by security. For brunch?? Ok. Wait wasn't bad because we had a reservation. Food orders went smooth. Four in our party wanted mimosa flights but two were told they would have to wait until the first two finished theirs. What? I did get my flight which was horribly watered down with pineapple juice. I couldn't taste any of the flavors I chose. My steak and eggs did not come out with the rest of the group's. It came out 20 mins later and overcooked. No apology from the server and they left it in the bill. So unprofessional. Plus an automatic 20% on every bill, even at the bar. Don't worry, I won't be back. Added a star because the DJ was good. read more

Had a reservation for 1:45 on a Sunday for brunch. It was busy so we waited about 20 mins before being seated. Our waitress was very attentive and had good customer service. DJ was a vibe if you like current hip hop music. Food was good and fresh. It did take a good amount of time for the food to come after we were seated. They serve hookah but I didn't get any. I've had it before and it's good but it's overpriced. FYI 20% gratuity is automatically added to each check. 8/10 rating. read more

10 out of 10 for everything. Mimosa flights were amazing and food. Grits were a little runny and missing salt and pepper. Justice was my server and she was amazing. She's young and energetic. I'm coming from living in DC sooooo this restaurant is the vibe Charlotte needs and deserves. For folks like me who like to party during the day and have a meal. Lamb chops were amazing. An enjoyable visit. Think cozy and intimate with low lighting. Pretty extended menu along with DJ music. I suspect they are slammed on the weekends as they were hyped up celebrating a birthday, which we thoroughly enjoyed watching. Our waitress was exceptional and so sweet. Constantly checking to see if we needed anything and giving her menu recommendations. The fire grilled lamb chop loins had a teriyaki garlic glaze that was fantastic. Seasoned well and served hot. The other entree was the deep-fried salmon. That blackberry margarita was superb. Casamigo Reposado triple sec, lemon sour, lime sour, blackberry puree muddled with real blackberries and strained onto a sugar rimmed glass. They also have a good wine and beer selection. It's worth the trip. Check them out. Stop by after shopping at NorthLake Mall. Pleasantly surprised. read more

We stumbled upon Lula Bell's Restaurant and Lounge while leaving another establishment and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The noise level was unbearable, making it difficult to enjoy the atmosphere. My guest and I ordered drinks that never arrived. After being seated, our waiter completely disappeared, and even after waiting over 50 minutes, they never returned--not once. One of us had to walk to the bar to order drinks ourselves since no one came to check on us. While waiting, we went to the restroom and saw employees sitting around, laughing, and appearing intoxicated. To make matters worse, we ordered a hookah that also never arrived. After wasting enough time, we decided to leave. When we voiced our frustration to the hostess at the front, she casually admitted that they simply "forgot." The service was nonexistent, and the entire experience was unacceptable. We won't be returning. read more

Coming from DC - it's definitely a no for me. The prices are like a 5 star restaurant without the 5 star service. It you are a top self drinker you probably want to drink water and save your coins for Stats. They bartender gets gratuity no matter what service he/she provides. Every year I try to support my own but I'm always so disappointed in what we're given compared to what were expected to pay. Please try it for yourself but we will not be returning. read more

I had the salmon pasta with a side of Lamb Chops and the spinach dip was the appetizer. The spinach dip was so good I was eating it plain without the naan. The naan was a little burnt and after 2 hrs they told us we had to leave, which is a bit rude. read more

The decore is chic and vibrant. It's a tight squeeze inside, but the chairs are comfortable. It's definitely a vibe. However, the food was okay. We all ordered the Brunch Lamb entree that comes with eggs or sub grits. That alone was unusual as there's a double protien. I wanted the dinner portion, but we could literally only order from the brunch menu. The lamb chops come with a sweet garlic and herb sauce that has a teriyaki influence. We ordered. Medium, Medium-Well, and Well, however, they all came out the same even though they were devoted by their alleged cooking temp. The side of eggs were ample as it appeared we got 3 medium sided eggs. The waffle, although beautifully plated. Was dense and hard as a rock. Our plates got mixed in the kitchen as someone got the other person's cheese and onions & cheese. We didn't cause a fuss, though, as we moved outside on the patio cause it was too loud. We couldn't really enjoy our conversation. We sat at table 16 initially, which was right under the speakers. We also ordered mimosas flights in guava, pineapple, mango, and strawberry. You can change the base from OJ to pineapple juice. They were beautiful, but you have to stir it at the table to get the color gradient. Our syrup was at the bottom. The pineapple was my favorite, though. The champagne is not the best quality, but it's okay because it was brunch. This spot is definitely for a younger vibe. Everyone looks gorgeous, dawning their pre-summer attire. It's definitely a cute occasion spot. I hope more men get into the brunch vibe cause the ladies were cute. It's really loud, so be mindful if you're an ancient elder like me. LOL. read more

Let's start with the service. The service was amazing. I mean on point, A1. The music, the DJ, and all that were at brunch were just such a vibe, a relaxing feel as if you were surrounded by family, who knew all the lyrics to the music. Fun!!! let's talk food. The red snapper was perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside bland on the inside. The salmon was chef kiss deeply flavored. The grits even with adding salt and pepper.2/10 the waffles are made with cinnamon so if you have a cinnamon allergy, I wouldn't suggest the waffles. Also, they look like the frozen waffles from my freezer.1/10 read more

I heard the food here was really good but I didn't realize this was more of a bar than a restaurant. I stopped by on a Sunday for takeout but I was told they really didn't do takeout. They had a velvet rope outside to control the line I guess and so again after hearing the music blaring from outside I assumed this was really a club? I dunno, I just wanted to order the salmon, potatoes, eggs and a waffle, which I did and it was delicious. It's really a small location and there is a dj, and drink flights flowing but the food is good and the wait is long. read more

Club, bar, and grill but dine and vibe (restaurant) not so much! Expect a REAL pat down and purse inspection by a security guard before entering; and once you get inside, bring earbuds because the music is LOUD! A minimum of 1/2 of your party must be in attendance in order to be seated. There were 12 of us, and upon seating down, the waiter immediately told us we have an hour and a half at the table that was supposed to fit 25 (no way) 12 wasn't comfortable) Additionally, be prepared for 1 bill, although they put your name on the ticket so you can see your order prepared accordingly if you're bringing a large group. Included is your 20% gratuity + tax, I recommend splitting the bill by the number of guests, but tell them ahead of time. The food was OK, but nothing to bragg about. I ordered the honey garlic wings crispy and a caesar salad. The wings were fine, tasted more like a garlic season salt, and NO honey. I was expecting a wet, honey garlic wing. They were dry but tasted better than they looked but wouldn't order again. The salad was somewhat average. Tasted both the sweet potato fries and the truffle fries! The sweet potato fries had a surplus of cinnamon and honey and a little under cooked for my. The TRUFFLE FRIES were delicious! The lobster mac and cheese was OK, and the honey hot wings looked incredible, but the lemon pepper out of all 3 that I tasted was the best. I could go on, but in summary, more so a club vibe with loud music, subpar service, and average food. read more

So I came to celebrate a friends birthday and honestly don't know how to feel.. except for rushed. Yes you have to reserve a table and we were seated on time. The server came over and took our orders and that was that. The food came out within 10 minutes of placing our order which was amazing since it was a Saturday afternoon now here where it gets slow. Our drinks took about 30. 1 no one wants to eat their meals without a drink but you don't want your food to get cold waiting on a drink. Once the drinks did come it was only 2 of us still eating. The waitress cleared the table of those that were and asked if we wanted another beverage when we just got those. I don't know if that was to put in the order so it wouldn't take another 30 but we declined the second round is soon trying to just enjoy the ambiance and bond. Next thing we know the check was being delivered to the table. I was turned off. The food was great, the drinks were basic and the service I wouldn't come back for. Maybe just don't one a Saturday idk. read more

Well, coming from a business restaurant owner... I wish I could say this was an incredible experience. But they told me I couldn't move my reservation back 15 minutes, but when we got there, we were literally the only ones seated at a table( it was empty). We ordered an appetizer and it got to our table 29 minutes later, there was nobody in the whole restaurant eating food. The drinks were good, they were priced decently. The music was an A+ !!! The service was OK, the staff could be a little bit more educating on some things ...letting us know why we were waiting 30 minutes for spinach dip. The food presentation was great as well . read more

I wouldn't dine in. Too loud/ chaotic. However I do order take out from time to time.

I really wanted to give this 4 stars, But having to be pat down like we were going to a club put a bad taste in my mouth. I did enjoy the drinks and food, we got 2 mimosa towers, French toast, shrimp n grits, salmon and grits, lamp and eggs, and everyone at our table was satisfied with their food. I would love to come back but I just don't think I could due to the fact that I have to get patted down. The music was good. May be too loud for some, but for me it was okay. Now, this is not a reflection on the door staff, security or the female manager (from NY), they were all great. They were accommodating during their one year celebration, we grabbed a table on the patio. Now I ordered a mimosa flight, they have a plethora of flavors to choose from, which is great for adventurous mimosa lovers, but that took a bit to come out, no problem. Our food was decent but with the steak and eggs, we ordered it medium and it came out dang near as a Pittsburgh sear. The lamb chops had great flavor. The service, absolutely poor, we never saw our server after the food was dropped so our steak wasn't corrected until we were ready to leave. Just an FYI, all orders are given a 20% gratuity, which probably perpetuated the poor service because if you know you're getting 20% gratuity per table, why provide good service? It was either that or they didn't have enough service staff, no excuse either way. Also, we paid in cash so we did not understand the transaction fee at all. Not the best experience, there are other places to grab brunch from. read more

Lulabelle’s Restaurant - Chicken & French Toast - Bars Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I've been asking for more BRUNCH spots in Charlotte. Well here's a new Black-Owned restaurant in Charlotte. They have only been open a few weeks but have already mastered a Deluxe brunch menu with all the top favorites from classic chicken & waffles to shrimp & grits. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy with tables and booths for larger party sizes. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Make sure to ask for our beautiful and sweet friend Tiffany! She was such a pleasant and attentive server. Tiffany definitely made our experience AMAZING! She recommended the margarita flight and mimosa flight as well as a few other specialty cocktails. We took all her recommendations and was extremely satisfied. We ordered the Build Your Own Brunch which included a meat, eggs, grits and waffle. The lamb chops were cooked medium well to perfection and the chicken wings were juicy and crispy! My friend stated the eggs were tasty as well as the French toast. Doors open for brunch at noon and I highly recommend making a reservation or take your chances of getting a seat at the bar. There is free parking alongside the building and adjacent parking lots. This place has all the good vibes with a live DJ on-site playing all the latest HITS & R & B. Make sure to check them out!! Tip: Pay with cash, there is a $2.75 transaction fee for credit cards and 15% gratuity per ticket and it doesn't matter on the party size. read more

Stopped by for drinks on a Thursday night. Little did I know they do karaoke on that day, but the karaoke was with a live band which is DOPE. During a portion of the night there was a battle of best r&b songs the band vs the DJ. It was a really good vibe. S/O to IzrealThePoet hosting the karaoke. I would agree with another review I saw that the music was very loud. It was a little hard to hold a conversation. The crowd was mature. I sat at the bar. The bartenders were very tentative and the drinks were actually really good. I tried a margarita flight which the margaritas were made with Casamigos and I also tried a Queens Sunset. Everyone (staff and patrons) were all super friendly. I would definitely recommend this spot. read more

Lulabelle's was for sure a vibe. The DJ played great throwback jams which I loved so much. I'd never had fried salmon before, but the bartender recommended it and it did not disappoint. The mimosa flight was good especially since it was a full mimosa not the smaller sizes. The music was good. And the food was good and hot but the salmon was over cooked. The breakfast potatoes were really good and the eggs were not my favorite. The French toast had a good flavor but def needed syrup. Now do I think a build your own breakfast should cost $25? No but it was a lot of food. The salmon was a little on the dry side and my friend didn't get her food for a very long time!
