Yesterday we discovered a selfie museum bar & eatery called Paparazzi. Paparazzi passes the vibe check . In my personal opinion this place is good for drinks , photo ops & hookah if you're into that . Me personally I no longer do hookah but a few of my friends ordered one. The food was ok I would describe it as glorified bar food . We were all a little disappointed in the actual food . It's super cute inside & definitely a great place during the day to hang out with friends to take pics & grab drinks . Side note : If you go , arrive early between the times of 6-9pm , I purposely went around that time frame because I knew they stopped serving food at a certain time , & after 10 the crowd changes & it becomes more of a party scene & younger crowd . There's nothing like a good old-fashioned brunch after a night out on the town. Therefore, we took our hungry tastes to Paparazzi. Fried Whiting and Grits $18 The grits were nice and creamy with the right amount of salt added. I could have used a little pepper but that's just me. The whiting was crispy but I felt as if they could have been thicker. It was almost as if I was biting into more of the fried breading versus the meat of the fish. Overall though, I love the pairing of the whiting and the grits. Scrambled Eggs $5 Eggs are eggs.... I mean you can't really mess up scrambled eggs. Don't really know what to say about scrambled eggs. The presentation was good. They wasn't dry, they wasn't runny, tastes like homemade scrambled eggs. Due to the previous night shenanigans, I opted out of trying any mimosas. The rest of my party loved them. They ordered about three towers. ($50 each) My only thing is I wish they would expand on their brunch menu. The place is fun and funky, service is good and they offer hookahs. The best of the place is the ambiance, they have a live DJ and makes the experience so much better. We were a large group and even though they had a time limit of 2 hours per table, we had so much food and two bottles, as well as a pitcher of mimosas, we needed time to finish them and they were able to accommodate us. We had chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, salmon and grits and some other stuff. My husband said that he loved his salmon, my shrimp and grits were slightly mediocre, I was expecting more. We still had a great time so definitely will be back just not because of the food. read more

***Atmosphere Only!!!*** When you visit this place you are simply going for the atmosphere!! We waited almost 2 hours for our food came out, and we had to ask 2 other waitresses to go get our personal waitress. The first time she came back to the table, she came back with an attitude. We didn't mind waiting for our food, but the fact that the waitress couldn't come back to at least let us know what the delay was. The drinks are watered down. The waffles are literally like frozen Ego waffles. I love to support small and minority owned businesses, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this place based off this sole experience. I will not be going back ! 1st time coming here was this past Tuesday night for taco Tuesday and I had a horrible 1st experience. There are two sides to the place and one side was completely packed so I asked one of the hookah girls if I could pay for a hookah and get an empty table on the other side she says to me "it's closed but I can give you a hookah at the bar". Now mind you all the bottle/hookah girls are all sitting at the only available booth smoking hookah and there is no space at all at the bar. We couldn't even get a drink so my friend and I just left. The floor is very sticky/dirty. Service wasn't that great. Honestly wish I could leave a negative review but glad I didn't waste my money here. I don't recommend this place at all. The party is a vibe.. The female security will definitely violate while searching you "up" but other than that the spot is cool. My only issue was the hookah service. Maybe I'm use to spots that can handle the capacity but even the bottle service girls can confirm that the hookah girls move slowwwwwwwwwww!! Order a hookah at 12:15 and she thought about bringing it over to me at 1:29am when the party ends at 2am. I think not. So I would say: the music will be LIT!!! You will dance all night long. The crowd is cool and the bootle service girls are a vibe. They are nice and helpful. But I would probably skip out on the hookah my next return and just go to an actual hookah bar in the area for after hours; like we ended up doing. We arrived about 12:30 (paparazzi opens at 12pm). We were informed after sitting for 10 minutes food orders aren't being taken until 1:30pm (nothing online or flyer states this). We've been waiting for 1 hour and 15 mins for our food to arrive. We placed our order at 1:20pm. Nothing against the service and waitress but as far as food and vibe the music is not the best. A lot of dated music that is not upbeat or a great vibe. I'd rather spend my money and time elsewhere. Ok so i been hearing about this place so i booked a reservation on open table for my birthday. Ok so we get there this Sunday that just passed 12/19 and they tell me i don't see a reservation for ok cool. I wasn't tripping because they got a table for us. Ok so we sat there for about 10mins before anybody approached us once the young girl did come she was not so welcoming took our drink order never came back to our table to check on us. 10/10 DO NOT recommend ; The host was not greet able , didn't crack a smile , no "hey how are you" nothing. She looked like she didn't even want to be there, mind you they just opened. We popped by Paparazzi on a Sunday around 3PM to check out their brunch (heads up, they serve brunch until 6PM on Sundays). They told us we would have a 45 minute wait, but we were seated after about 10 minutes of waiting, thank goodness bc I was hangry lol. We were sat and ordered food, drinks, and hookah- the hookah is done thru a separate server. The hookah came out first and was definitely made well, they even made sure we had new coals half way thru. The drinks did take awhile, but were delicious once we got them. I ordered the 1017 (frozen slushie margarita) and my hubby ordered a fish bowl drink. I ordered the Chicken and Strawberry Cheesecake Waffles which was bussin. I smashed the whole thing- no leftovers- it was top tier. Hubby ordered the Catfish and Grits and it was seasoned very well. 10/10 for both dishes for sure. The only minus is the fact that they give you plastic silverware, its kind of hard to eat waffles with that. I will say the vibe in there is definitely popping- it gives ATL hookah lounge vibes for sure, the music was bumping, the DJ was getting into for sure. I would definitely come back again, but I would prlly call ahead to see how the wait situation is. It's definitely a good place to take out of town friends, or just to turn up with some locals. My first visit to the place and it was horrible! Tee waited over an hour for our food which we still Did not get! They kept coming to us telling us our food would be out shortly and that was a lie!! 12/4 worse night ever. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. Most traumatic experience I've had at a club/lounge. I'm still in disbelief! I've never been so disrespected in my life. (because there is a character limit) I was assaulted by a bartender and security. (UNPROVOKED, I promise!! I'm 36 years old and would acknowledge and take full responsibility on my part if i were in the wrong). I believe the bartender suffers from mental illness that's the only thing i can think of that would cause her to attack me without being provoked. I was treated worse then a stray dog. My intentions were originally to go ahead and start the lawsuit process and force them to settle out of court. I decided against it, it was mentally draining and depressing. I just want to forget that night. To add insult to injury the owner reached out to me offering a resolution. To come back and give them the opportunity to i guess redeem themselves. My response was,No. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AND WILL FOREVER DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM GOING. The owner really was/is more concerned with receiving negative reviews. His apologies weren't sincere. He tried to be manipulitve throwing out the black card and how we should stand together and not tear each other down::: Respectfully, a Black woman (bartender)assaulted me, a black man (security) assaulted me, while 3 other black men (security) didn't even offer me a hand, nor apology, now another black man(owner) is trying to diminish my feelings and disregard that traumatic experience. If your looking for a place to take bomb photos then this would be the place. The service sucks, I'm not sure if we picked a bad day or what but it was horrible. So we called ahead to reserve our table just to be seated and never served Red Flag #1. We ordered a hookah that cost $60 for one, then went to the bathroom where there was no paper towels or dryer to dry your hands Red Flag #2. Went back to our table in hopes that our drinks would be there just to notice they took the hookah we literally just paid $60 for Red Flag #3. The server never came back after placing our order, so we ending up going to the bar where they gave us a complimentary shot each just for the virgin drinks Red Flag #5. So then the server come back with our order, do y'all know the food came out looking like they heated the plates up and rushed them out. Her name was Krystal she charge gratuity on our checks for a party of 4, and when I called her out on it she tried to make a scene and have us thrown out by the bootleg security guy who by the way had no display of security. This is a nice place /atmosphere but if it continues down this road will close soon. Food took over two hours run around when ask for manager and one never showed. Please check your recipe this waitress just shows you the bill on the hand held computer but when she printed it out was 9 dollars more on one bill and 9 dollars more on the other bill. The she tried to LIE and say it's what the bar charges her to make our drinks. We waited over 30 minutes for our mimosa tower after then brining the wrong type of drinks and explaining to the waitress 4x what we exactly wanted. Once we got the tower drinks were spilled at the table by the waiter which got on me with nothing to help wipe myself off. Chicken is unseasoned, food lukewarm, Gawain o and grits was horrible plus the whiting and grits. My friends had to request for butter, salt, and pepper. The waitress never came back to check on us at all and we had to get the hostess to get our drinks. The manager only took 50% off my friends good due to it being VERY BLAND. We won't be back. The waitress had an attitude. The self stations are cute and that's all they have going at this point. The manager never came to see what was wrong with my friend food. Me and my family came to celebrate a family members masters. We got there at 1pm and was told there was a 2 hour wait for a table but we could go to the bar in the meantime. We did that. Spent hella money at the bar waiting on a table. Even bought the appetizers at the bar to kill time. They started sitting people they knew that came in and out of order. I asked twice for an update in progress and each time got nothing. After 3 hours we were told we could sit outside (87 degree weather) after the wait. Then the hostess said "we have a seat outside that's all we have." The woman that works the front (hostess) is rude and her face never looks welcoming. It's like she has an issue with doing what it is she gets paid for. No apologies were given nor any consideration for the wait. We ended up having to eat somewhere else just to make sure we didn't pass out of starvation. I don't know who owns the place but it's poorly managed. Coming from a place where I was a manager for 11 years I would wipe out the help and start over.
