They are meticulous, hard-working professionals that leave our home looking spotless each and every time they come out. We've had bad experiences with other cleaning services in the past. A lot of other cleaning companies lack attention to detail, and we always end up feeling like we would have been better off just cleaning our home ourselves, but Tailor Maid really treats your home like it's their home. This place is terrible. There is something really wrong with the owner and her aggressive approach towards people. We were given a poor referral to use them and they were terrible. There was a miscommunication over the price, they charge $120 per hour which is expensive. For that price, the place should be spotless. The workers are incredibly slow, inefficient, and ineffective. They didn't finish cleaning the house and also left it in the same condition they found it. When we gave feedback for unsatisfactory work she yelled at us so we had the issue settled through our credit card. She then sent letters threatening a lawsuit. This person is irrational, the work is bad, and it's not worth the headache or the price....avoid at all costs. read more

They are always on time and my house looks great when I get home from work. They are sweet to my dog and even make sure his water bowl is full before they leave. We were moving out of our place and called Tailor Maid to come and do a spiff up of our empty apartment. After speaking with the phone representative, it was understood that the job could be done with 2 people in 4 hours. Expecting to start at 9:00 am, i waited there in the empty apartment for 40 MINUTES to let the crew in. Several calls to the main office were greeted with a simple, "they are on the way." Finally, at almost a quarter to 10:00, a single person showed up for the job. I asked where the rest of the crew was... Her answer? "I get started. She be here in one hour." Riiiight. Where are your cleaning supplies? She pulls out a single roll of paper towels and replied, "I just use what you have." The apartment was EMPTY!! Needless to say, I fired Tailor Maid right then and there. What cleaning service allows their crew to show up separately... AND WITHOUT CLEANING SUPPLIES? This was by far, the single worst cleaning company I have ever had the displeasure of using. I took one for the team on this. Don't make the same mistake I did. Steer clear of Tailor Maids. **UPDATE** (Sept. 28, 2014) I was just contacted by Tailor Maids, through Yelp, regarding the content of this review. Catherine B. (who is a new Yelper as of this month) states that this is just a case of mistaken identity, but I can assure you it is not. This is a real review of a real incident that actually happened. I had my apartment cleaned yesterday by the Tailor Maid team and my place looked so beautiful that I almost shed a tear. I'm not a messy person, but I had recently moved into a temporary apartment and haven't had the time to properly finish all the little to do's and keep up with the cleaning. At the same time, the company's owner called me back after an inquiry I had placed LAST OCTOBER. I was impressed with her persistence and decided to meet so that she could see the space and provide me with an estimate. She gave me a reasonable offer and though I was reluctant to hand over my key and charge card information at the first meeting, I thought "what the hay, I'll give it a shot, it will be nice to have help." I proceeded to look up the company on Yelp and found divisive reviews. Still, I figured I would wait to see the results. They only work during the week, so my maid came in while I was at work on Tuesday. I was so wonderfully pleased to come home to an immaculately cleaned apartment. She had folded my clean laundry for me, hung up dresses that I had left lying out on my bed and scrubbed down my tub until it was practically sparkling. Elizabeth is the worst person/company I've ever worked for... She explained in interview that I would receive $80 a day plus $10 tip... long story short I've worked there for 3 weeks due to the fact she was short paying me and always had an excuse of why my check came first week $20 short... second week $120 short... third week I quit on a Friday and I've never received my check... I called numerous occasions and she said she doesn't owe me any money because I quit without giving her a 2 weeks notice... not to mention she curses every other word and moves like she on drugs.. I would not recommend anyone to hire her... she even has illegal Spanish speakers that works for her that I had to translate everything through a phone... it was aggrivating... they want to leave so bad because she short changing them as well... The owner is a know it all , no respect for what clients want or say, charged for more hours than she estimates on contract, first week i could understand but that does not mean it's ok to continue, always have excuses, does not accept complaints and try to justify with all kind of BS, promised to send someone experienced but she was not, takes customers for stupid, begs for more chances to make things right after I said this was not working for me. Then I said ok and things were not acceptable again.. I mean bed not made, no pillowcases on and blanket hanging 4´´ outside bedspread, kitchen counters and fridge door a mess, pillows not fluffed, placemats not in place, laundry room a mess, Not swept in corners, not details oriented, no experience, after 8 hours 3rd time, still no time to iron a few things, left all my doors unlocked.. i was even ok to give a chance after being begged again, thinking that maybe it was because it was a new place and not used to Windows on the beach... but after 3 times I say enough.. right after I said no more, i got taken for another $800 right out of my account just to cancel their services. I even asked for her to rip my credit card info but she used it instead.. at the time of hiring ,She had said that if I didn't like them, it would not be a problem, that all she needed was 2 days notice.. I should have known because she wanted my keys before she started, I would have to change all my locks today if I gave them just like I had to change my bank account.. SAD ..Stay away from that company , do not give your credit card on file and do not give her your keys and read the contract and do not sign . I should have listened to my gut feeling ..Each time she begged me to try another week , all she was doing was making sure the date limit to cancel was passed in her book but it never crossed my mind that someone can be so crooked because I was being nice and was hoping it would get better while paying more to train the employee..And now she thinks she got me good but she will see that Karma is a bitch !! Elizabeth might think she is the professional but we are the clients and yes we can ask for specifics , like clean and organized and we need to agree with time and money.. because it is NOT her money until she earns it!! Do not hire Tailor Maid. Horrible customer service. I had an issue with some of my property being damaged from the cleaners. I did not realize until after the cleaners left that there was an issue. I brought it to the owners attention within a few days, she took no responsibility, even blamed me and it became a huge hassle. Never received compensation or an apology. When I moved into my new Fort Lauderdale house over 10 years ago, I put out several phone calls to cleaning services, and Elizabeth, the owner of Tailor Maid, was the only person to return my call. She promptly met with me at the house and went over all the details. We have been using her services ever since. In the end the company is only as good as the people who come to clean your house. We had one crew that we were not happy with at all, and Elizabeth promptly replaced them. For the past few years, Luz has been cleaning our house, and she is fantastic. She is always on time. The house is always spotless when she is through cleaning, and she always finds times to do something extra, like polishing silver or cleaning out a silverware drawer. Elizabeth will work with you on schedule changes, and we have never had a problem adding an extra cleaning. A note about cleaning supplies that someone complained about in an earlier email: I have never worked with a cleaning company that furnished their own supplies.
