Mario delivers an old school charm and ability to do just about everything. Mario is an Italian immigrant who spent many years in this industry including working at West Point and fitting/altering cadet uniforms. I've trusted him enough to fit me for my wedding tuxedo, and subsequent visits have had him alter other clothes, customize a suit, and order tuxedo's for other events. Compared to renting tuxedo's form "Men's Warehouse," Mario is much more trustworthy in his approach to measuring and making sure everything fits when it arrives. His prices are also fair and everything is received promptly He essentially runs the business in his house (separate side entrance) off of Titusville road. If you blink you may miss it, so look for the sign on his front yard (took a picture of it when I stopped by today). No customer service. The manager had a problem with a teenage boy and his mother. No Tuxedo was ready for his prom at Beacon NY highschool. They put the wrong date on the ticket. I walked out of the store. I went back to the store the next day in the morning. They were busy. I waited 30 minutes by the back register. No customer service. A lady manager named Danielle, finally came over to me because I asked a employee to send the store manager over. I made a complaint. That I have been waiting for 30 minutes and no customer service. I was here yesterday and the same thing happened to me. The manager was upset about my complaint. She raised her voice at me and said. " Well. I am the only one here and there is only one of me. I can't do everything!" I was shocked by her attitude towards me and her unprofessional behavior. She asked me what I can do for you? I handed her my receipt. I asked her to please get me my pants. She walked away. I spoke to the lady behind me. We both were talking about the manager unprofessional behavior. Danielle, came back and apologized to me and told me I could get a free pair of socks. They look like new and were polished also. There's a Landis shoe machine in the back and patching sewing machine. The repairs are not outsourced. Decades ago there were shoe repair shops in every neighborhoods. It's a dying trade; that takes a lot of skill and talent. They have shoe products such as Meltonian polishes, laces, Barge cement, et al. for sale. They also do tailoring, as well. I can't vouch for seamstress work, but if it's as well done as the shoe repair.
