I'm transitioning from having a fast-fashion closet to a smaller capsule wardrobe with timeless quality pieces. Unfortunately, I have an unusual body shape that off-the-rack clothing looks a little off - and I can't afford bespoke. So I'm shopping for high quality pieces that are more expensive but bringing them in for tailoring as I can afford to purchase them. She is honest and will tell you if something will or won't work. She's even told me that the quality/material/craftsmanship of something was so poor it wouldn't be worth my while to alter it. It was more cost effective for me to just buy it new. And she was right! She also did my wedding dress - and she made me feel like I was wearing the most elegant and timeless piece I've ever owned. (It was a Carolyn Bessett-Kennedy inspired sheath.) Parking is in the lot next door in the auto repair shop but it's a bear pulling out when traffic is bad. And she did! My dress had a lot of lace in it, was big in the chest and the long sleeves were baggy but once she was done with it I LOVED the way it fit.
