This consignment shop has quite a few items that were appealing. There was much more inside than there appeared to be when looking in from the outside. The prices were appropriate. There was a good selection of clothing, shoes, household furnishings and decorative items. Most of the staff was very friendly, however one staff member kept appearing as we were shopping, frowningly eyeing us. I recognize that shoplifting is an issue these days, but there is a way to monitor your business without making customers uncomfortable. read more

The facility is well-conceived and presented; with a nice selection of quality items to browse and explore. We didn't find any "steals", but the prices seemed indicative of the area. Love coming back to this awesome consignment store whenever I'm in Hyde Park. A wonderful variety of housewares, clothing, handbags, jewelry, vintage dolls, paintings, and so much more. Love that the staff are still wearing masks, however, masks are optional for customers who are vaccinated. I definitely recommend stopping by here if you're in the area. We spend a lot of time in thrift stores, and trying to find new holes in the wall that may have treasures. While this place has some interesting things and a better selection than most, the prices are much higher than what you might pay anywhere else, and many common things are valued unrealistically. It's the kind of place to go if you just want to buy things without having to do any work, and you pay for it. $3 for a DVD or CD might not seem like a lot, but it's double what you'd pay anywhere else. read more

After having spent around 20 minutes in the shop, I made my way over to the check-out counter to purchase a wallet when I saw the appallingly racist magnets in the picture posted. Thinking it must be a mistake, I brought them to a clerk and asked for them to be removed. He told me they are "part of history" and that "we even occasionally sell Nazi memorabilia here." He continued on that "only white people complain about it." Maybe that is because your public display of racism makes people of color feel too unsafe to say something. The store itself is great fun to poke around in. The location is convenient as well, rte 9. The two young ladies at the front however, were less than helpful. No greeting. Zero help. It was about coffee and Dunkin' for them. My purchases were tossed in a paper bag that had lawn debris in the bottom. My ceramic purchase was chipped when I got home. Was wrapped in nothing. In the bottom of the bag. I won't be back. Shame the staff couldn't at least be pleasant because it is an interesting place to spend your money. read more

This place is a nice mix of about 1/3 consignment items, 1/3 antiques and 1/3 tchotchke. I wasn't in the market for clothes, but I enjoyed checking out the furniture, and several of the antique lamps caught my eye. When I have more time, I want to check out their "media center" which has a decent amount of music, DVDs and books. I consign as well as shop here. I started as just a shopper and figured if I was going to keep spending money there I might as well try and make a little to offset my purchases. I have purchased many women's clothing items - so really top notch lables at very affordable prices. Christine, the sales clerk, has a terrific eye for clothing. She determines what they accept and she is super helpful in pointing out great buys. The selection of antiques (while not all top quality, there are some nice pieces) is nice as well and VERY well priced. You will not regret stopping by here to browse. This review is as a consignor, I didn't actually get a chance to look around the shop at the selection. The staff was super friendly, the woman taking my clothing was so nice. I had brought in several pairs of Loft and Banana Republic jeans, along with an H&M spring jacket. She took everything except the jacket, saying that it was too late in the season for jackets, which I can understand... except that it really is a light, spring jacket. But it's ok. The whole process was super easy. The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't tell me what prices they were putting on the clothing. Overall a great little store with friendly staff! read more

Location- Easy and pleasant area in the town of Hyde Park on route 9. *****/***** Selection- Like most stores like this the selection is whatever people bring in. I really though only find good stuff in here a few times a year. **.5/***** Prices- Where this shop needs to have a reality check. I get it. The prices are essentially double what they are worth so the owner and the consignors can get a 50/50 split of the money. Which means the prices are crazy high for thrift store quality items. Since I'm not learnent on how much glassware or old clothes are worth il focus on the entertainment section. Some good records make there way into the shop. I've bought my fair share of Vinyl even if I overpay. However I've seen beat up ripped, scratched records being charged around 8-10 a piece. Just because they are classic rock. I don't know of they realize that goodwill charges 1-2 dollars for essentially the same selection. DVDs are 3 dollars. Which is the going thrift store rate. Box sets (obviously) are marked up to 10 or so dollars. CDs are also 3. A little high but let's move on to the sports section. Cards are way overpriced. Worthless cards from the 80s and 90s for 10 bucks! Let's not even get into any cards that are Deemed worth more! Nevertheless always check to see if stuff falls through the cracks and are a decent price! On the way out I saw a copy of "The Beatles Christmas Album" on Vee Jay! What a fantastic place! I have both shopped here and consigned here and it is just great! I have been able to get rid of so many things that were simply taking up space in my home and make a little cash. Also, the kids clothes are really decent and all priced reasonably. Plus, whenever you go in there is a color-coded pricing system and many times I have gotten items for 25%-50% off! The staff is great, no one is stuck-up and the owner seems like a decent guy too.
