I wish I could give this place more stars, (or less). The parent restaurant, which is next door owns this little cafe, and they realized there was a demand for bubble tea in bucks county. Absolutely respectable and admirable, however, I've had some screwups recently with my orders. I'm a lover of bubble tea, and the best place to get tea in my opinion is at Teado in Philadelphia, so my standards are already a bit high, however the messed up orders are basic and irritating. I usually order the Praying Mantis, but I like to add extra boba and rainbow jelly to it. Every time that I come, the man who takes my order tries to get under my skin about how "there'll be less drink if I order so many toppings" and makes what takes 30 seconds to order a drink, two minutes. I understand that there's a $.50 upcharge. I read the toppings list that PROMOTES you adding toppings. The most recent time I came in, he restricted me with the amount of toppings I wanted because there "is a limit of two" which would be understandable, but the drink on the menu calls for three from the start (one of which they don't carry). This is very frustrating for me, because I like having a lot of toppings, and I'm willing to pay more for the drink. I paid for EXTRA boba as well, and they barely gave me one serving of the topping unfortunately. This particular time we went, I ordered my drinks with no ice so that I had more room for the toppings, but their option wasn't to fill the drink to the top; they filled the cup 3/4 of the way, which was almost laughable to us, and when we went to order a final drink, one of the workers scolded us for about five minutes about how the recipe calls for ice, and how we shouldn't be ordering the drinks without ice. The only reason I come here still is because this is the only place near me that sells bubble tea, which is unfortunate. If you're a die hard boba lover, I'd suggest just going to Oxford Valley Mall and buying bubble tea from the kiosk in the food court (seriously. much better customer service, and more options too!) or making the trip to Philadelphia for Teado.

Great food (and bubble tea), nice atmosphere, prices are reasonable. Employees are super nice. Came in a half hour before closing on a sunday. Did not realized they closed at 7. I felt bad, however the two people working were really polite. The dim sum pork was so good. They have other varities too. Peachee bubble tea was flavorful as well as the prayingmantis. Banhn min is like a hoagie and was delicious! The roll was super fresh. The interior is spacious and clean, modern decor. Could not ask for more. Will definitely be back!

How is the menu different from your place next door?

Definitely a common question and I’m happy to clarify. At Taiko Bistro, we are serving up more casual eats, including sandwiches, dumplings, and finger foods like cheese fries and wings. We have a wider range of salads and dressings as well. Last… Read more

My friend and her husband clearly are a huge fan of the various dumplings they offer as they ordered three different types! But it was clear that one type was a fan favorite. Drum roll please.....EDAMAME DUMPLINGS! They sure did live up to the hype. The dough was perfectly tender, the edamame puree was the texture you dream of, and the spicy chili dipping sauce is such a nice complement to these tasty pouches of goodness. I couldn't resist trying sushi, though. It's my kryptonite. I went with one one of the Chef Special rolls: Tuna, Salmon & Yellowtail with avocado, asparagus, caviar wrapped in sweet pickled daikon. This combo was superb!!! Not that I didn't think it would be, but I really loved the pickled radish that added a different flare to the fresh wrapped fish. Additionally, I tried the Sofia roll: Shrimp tempura, lobster salad, and mango inside. Wrapped in soy paper and rice. Sliced avocado outside with crabmeat and sweet & spicy jalapeno mayo topping...again very good, but didn't necessarily knock my socks off. All-in-all, I would return! I would love to dine in next time and try the ramen or even the Korean BBQ.

My wife and I had a delicious NY Eve Dim Sum dinner last night and as usual they hit on all cylinders...including some nice updated decor since last visit. I was a little concerned pulling into parking lot as there was a brand new Sushi/Japanese storefront right next door, and thought perhaps someone decided to take up the challenge of competition....only to be thrilled to learn that M&M ownership actually expanded next door to add even more amazing dinner options!!!! Can't wait to get back and try that experience. This is by far the best Chinese and now Japanese food I have had in this area in an extremely friendly but relatively low key setting....although the new Sushi setting is definitely a bit more upscale in terms of decor. The Owner is still genuinely one of the nicest and most hospitable restauranteurs I have ever met!!! But with that said, my girl wanted some Indo Chinese.... so we made the trip here to see whether it's worth a second visit. Now, to be clear: the Rose is a Pan Asian Cuisine. So it's not necessarily just Indo Chinese, but it also encompasses flavors from all the other countries too. We ended up ordering 3 items in the following order: 1a: Gobi Manchurian 1b: Smoked Vegetable Sizzler 2: Mushroom Sautéed in Ginger Garlic We ordered the first two together and those arrived relatively quickly. The Gobi Manchurian was the better of the two, but I wonder if it was a bit too overpowered with spice and less of the sweet and sour taste (or even the soy sauce). The spice was a bit too overbearing. The sizzler was fine, but it was mostly onions and peppers. The tofu - while cooked fine - surprised me because it was like the silky ma po tofu (which coincidentally is what they serve here). In other words, the same tofu is repeated across multiple meals. I think the tofu needed to be pan fried at least for a sizzler. Because of the above, we didn't feel full and thought that the mushroom would provide a different taste pallet. Unfortunately, that was a miss as the mushroom had the same taste as the gobi manchurian, when it should've been infused with the ginger garlic. Additionally, the mushroom was way too overcooked so you couldn't even taste them either. It was like a crunchy mushroom. No good. To make things worse, the waiter, who also manned the front desk, seemed a bit too aloof at times. Often that meant not refilling water unless prompted and not providing the check on time or not even setting up the tables properly with silverware. It was a bit disappointing. This place has the potential, especially with the cute decor. But failed execution with the food and some lackluster service do not make this a place I'd recommend in the future.

We ordered the crispy chicken bao buns, crispy shrimp, general tso soup dumplings, wagyu beef, Korean bbq beef, and hamachi ceviche. We were a group of 3 so one thing that was nice was that our waiter added 1 additional skewer/bao bun for the meals instead of ordering 2 plates of them. Out of all the food we ordered the most delicious were the meats; the wagyu and Korean bbq beef. They were so tender and lightly seasoned because the beef quality itself was good. The Wagyu beef was paired with an apricot dip that was really good. The chilli crisp chicken bao was also good but didn't have much sauce, so it was on the dry side. It was supposed to have chilli so we expected it to be spicy but it was not. We all really liked the crispy shrimp--it was truly crispy. The sauce and the radish paired really nicely with the shrimp as well. The one meal we did not enjoy were the soup dumplings. When we got them they were dripping of raw dough and had no soup in them. The waiter was kind enough to replace them but we still didn't really enjoy them. I did not try the hamachi ceviche because I'm pregnant but it was also a favorite from the group. For dessert we had the mini ice cream cones. The waiter again added an extra one for us. The flavors were chocolate banana and mango. They were good, small bites. One of them melted so quickly and fell on the table and the waiter was really kind and got us a replacement. I did use the bathroom and absolutely hated it. It was unbelievably dark in there and there were weird sounds playing in there. I went in there to make sure I didn't have food in my teeth but couldn't even see. Super inaccessible, hopefully that's something that can be changed. The service overall was clearly excellent! I would recommend this place, especially if you come for the meats. It was surprisingly filling too.
