So glad to see almond milk options. Tea was frgrant and refreshing too. . Love the black garlic oil ramen which if you are hungry they got real food too. The broth is fragrant and love the soft noodles. . Love the ambiance here which was bright, simple, lots of seating too. Parking was easy and has a parking lot too. . Taichi Bubble Tea is located in a small plaza. The entrance and parking is behind the building away from the main street. The parking is a bit tight here. Not much service - the employee at the counter was not that helpful and I had to figure out myself that I needed to fill out a form for the Sushi Burrito. I ordered their Icy Jasmine Tea Latte with boba and Sushi Burrito (you fill out one of the forms on the side for what you want in the burrito and hand it to an employee at the counter). The tea latte was good, I like the creaminess to it with a subtle tea taste to it, but I wished they gave more boba, especially for a tall cup. The sushi burrito was a bit small for the price point, but they do not charge for some toppings that other poke spots charge for, which is a plus. Quality of toppings was decent, but the salmon could have had been more fresh. It was a bit unorganized here and it seems like some of the employees do not know what to do or what they are doing. At one point multiple people were making sushi burritos and they were making all these other orders, while I was just standing there for at least 20ish minutes. I was finally noticed by an employee and asked for my order number. She made my food, while the other employee was supposed to make my drink, but I guess he just set up the cup with the boba in it, but never made my drink, so I had to wait even longer. Overall, they have a good concept with having a variety of drinks, food items, and snacks, so it is good for groups to come here to eat and makes it easy because there should be something on the menu for everyone. It seems like they have too much items on their menu without enough employees or at least a more organized setup / system. read more

First time trying the boba tea and it was good. I ordered the kunquat fruit tea and my husband got the peach fruit tea with herbal jelly. I do like that both drinks were not overly sweet and I can definitely taste the fruit flavor. The place was clean and had plenty of seating. A good place to seat, relax and play some board games which they do offer with friends. I really didn't interact with the staff as I ordered my drinks on a touch screen and they called my order number. Everyone was professional and there was no problems. Taichi added some new premium tea lattes on their menu so I came here to try them. I got the Camelia Oolong and the Icy Jasmine. Sadly, the icy jasmine was sold out so I decided to try the Phoenix Oolong instead. I also got the popcorn chicken which came with sweet and sour sauce and spicy mayo. The camelia oolong was so good, it was super floral which I like and the perfect amount of sweetness. They also use lactose free whole milk. I wasn't a fan of the Phoenix as much but it was still good. I will definitely be back to try their Icy Jasmine. The popcorn chicken was super juicy, meaty, and perfectly coated. It paired very well with the sweet and sour, and the portion is huge! The workers were very nice, the cashier gave us recommendations. I was with my wife at the hospital and was craving a poke bowl. The first thing that caught my eye was Taichi's prices for Door Dash. It was much more reasonable than the closer poke places. While their poke was not the best I ever had, it was still good with plenty of options. I also enjoyed their fried tofu. Ordered from DoorDash and they give you a pretty good reusable bag. We got the sushi burrito and chicken karaage along with the Okinawa Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Zang Zang drinks. The drinks were good and boba was still chewy despite the travel time. Sushi burrito was yummy but it does fall apart relatively easy after the second bite. Poke was fresh and the service was fast. We had a pretty big group and they were able to prepare it all relatively quickly. They have the menus where you're able to check boxes on a paper with the base and toppings you'd prefer and custom order. This time I had the poke burrito and it was very filling! I liked all of the toppings I had in there and they had more variety than most places, like spicy crab meat, tamago, and kimchi. I also love that they don't charge for avocado! There were more toppings that I wanted but didn't select because I was worried it wouldn't all fit in a burrito, so I need to go back and try the rest! I liked the drinks better this time also, my favorite was the strawberry yakult which the worker recommended to me. The boba was chewy and fresh also. The mango InfruiTea was refreshing but I wish the mango was cut into small chunks and was ripe so you could also eat them! I picked mango boba from the toppings menu but didn't know it was popping boba, so just be weary if you pick that. The Taro Zang Zang is very picturesque - good for a non caffeine option! I was also impressed at how fast everything came out. At some places it takes longer to just get one drink! From ordering to getting our beef rice bowl and drinks, it was 7 minutes! First off, parking was horrible. It's super busy for such a small plaza. Too many stores for that one parking lot. I did like the self serve kiosks. Unfortunately, that meant we were not greeted at all. We ordered via the kiosks, sat down by ourselves, and waited for our number to be called. The ambiance was decent though. Clean. Especially loved the extra large boba statue you can take a picture next to. I feel like everything was out of sync to even get a decent picture though since the cute sign was in such a narrow hallway and the large boba statue was up against the large windows whereas you can see the whole parking lot and people walking by. I drove by this place so many times and finally got to try their bobas drinks. Parking is limited and always busy in this area. The inside is nice with ample amount of tables and chairs. I've ordered the Mango Black Tea with Lychee Jelly and less sweet. It's my go-to drink. It was alright. It didn't blow my mind and I definitely had better. I also ordered the Daigona Coffee (Taichi Special). Perhaps it was the oat milk but it tasted off to me. Not bad, but also not good. My son had the regular Milk Tea with Boba. He said it was alright. Items I wouldn't get again in my bowl: broccoli was raw, ginger I wish was on the side and cucumber were too big I chopped it up. Taichi is in a small strip mall off Folsom blvd between T-Mobile and Panda The parking lot is small and serves four businesses, so it is often a little tricky to park there. This was our second time visiting Taichi. We were craving Thai iced teas and a snack. The Thai iced teas were tasty and felt refreshing on this hot day. We tried the takoyaki, which is a fried seafood ball. I liked the breading and the creamy texture inside, but the calamari was a bit too chewy compared to the other textures. Glad we tried something new though! Definitely want to come back for their ramen. The prices feel a bit high, but it's fun to stop in every now and then. I think they mostly do takeout because there wasn't anyone else in there eating, but we also were there at an off peak time. Their boba and food was surprisingly good. I don't expect too much out of boba shops, especially ones that offer food/snacks but this place actually knows what they're doing. I got a wintermelon milk tea with brown sugar boba. I should've asked for it less sweet but it was my first time and I wanted to gauge if I'd like how sweet they make it. I also ordered their basil popcorn chicken and their fried geso, which is squid. Those were reaaaally good. Their chicken was actually juicy and I wasn't expecting them to deep fry the basil too; that added a nice herby taste that complemented the chicken. The squid was well-prepared too and had nice breading to it. My only real nitpick were the prices but it's to be expected nowadays and I was happy with my order. The place was kept fairly clean and I liked the layout of the place. I didn't like how I had to clean the seats and table myself since someone before us had left a bunch of crumbs all over the booth but I guess the staff didn't notice. There's a counter where you can grab sauce packets, utensils, and napkins. And a different counter has the trash and a bin to put dirty dishes and trays. There's one outlet every two tables, above the booths. I can see how it'd be annoying to use if you're trying to study here but I can't blame them for that. At least they have free wifi and a place to even charge your devices. There's about 8 tables I believe, and iirc, there were maybe 6 outlets. I don't think the tables in the middle of the shop have an outlet. Overall, I'd come here again to try other drinks and maybe take a shot at their poke and sushi. read more

Nice little shop that has great decorations. Even though I only got boba, this place also has ramen, poke and plates other snacks. The staff are nice and helpful. The drinks/food comes out timely. The drink I got was actually really good. The taro on the side of the cup was really good. The cashier even gave me a tip to shake the drink well before putting the straw. First time I had their sushi burrito but it's more worth the price if you get a the poke bowl. The sushi burrito was so hard to eat & quickly fell apart versus the bowl which has more. 3 protein for about $15 with damn near unlimited toppings. They do not charge extra for avocado & crab meat like most places. The Taro Zhang Zhang Special was a fun drink. The stuff that swirls around the cup is very thick & you will need to shake really well in order to get it mixed into your drink. If it's not mixed well, it will not have taste. Hmm a not-too-shabby start to a new boba shop in East Sac. The passion fruit tea was more sweet and tart than expected (even almost tasted like orange juice?). Perhaps it's because I ordered it with passion fruit boba, which turned out to be the popping boba kind with artificial juice in them and I was given a generous amount (they took like 1/3 of the cup lol). The original Taichi milk tea was delicious. Very creamy and had the perfect sweetness for me at the "less sweet" level. I ordered this one with egg pudding; it didn't really add much to the drink as it was flavorless and too soft. Still, I recommend getting this milk tea if you don't quite know which drink to order here. The matcha milk tea tasted a bit off as it had some strange sharp bitterness to it (matcha usually has mellow bitterness). Didn't like the matcha flavoring and this drink was my least favorite out of the bunch. I ordered this one with boba pearls; boba pearls were just okay as they were bland and could've been softened a tad more. Overall decent new boba shop and I'm hopeful that the kinks will get ironed out here. One of the better new boba shops in the area. read more

This is a clean and cute little restaurant. Address is 5801 Folsom Blvd, Ste 110, Sacramento, CA 95819 (East Sacramento) Upon arrival: Pros 1) clean restaurant. As soon as some of the customers finished eating, I saw them cleaning the tables already. Thumbs up! When reviewing the rest, counters, chairs, takes all clean. 2) cashier was very friendly and nice. It was our 1st time here and she didn't rush us. Even when my little one added to my order before I paid. 3) we order a Ramen miso pork noodle bowl. Came with the noodle, corn, bean sprouts, chopped green onion, pork and egg. It was very tasty. We also ordered a boba strawberry smoothie. That, too, was good. Little one loved both. I forgot to take pictures of both items. :( 4) on the side table, you can get your own napkins, spoons, forks, straws, and condiments. 5) Cons 1) Parking in this area is very limited. It's a small parking lot. We were looking for people who were leaving so we can park in their spot. Lol. Conclusion I liked this little restaurant. I absolutely love the system that this Taichi Bubble Tea has going on. First off, the menu is clearly displayed on the screens, telling their customers exactly what to do such as fill out an order form for wraps, poke bowls and salads. There are images paired with detailed worded descriptions of what the drinks and food contain. Once you go to the register, you can place your order with the nice employees. I also love how you can see poke bowls and wraps being prepared with all of the fresh ingredients laid out near the register. The interior design of this location is super cute with the white, green and panda accents. Parking can be difficult in the lot as Taichi is near many popular establishments but I find it easy to park on the street in front of a house and just walk a bit. Super nice service, i always want everything so decisions are hard the cashier was helpful in guiding me along the right path. I got black garlic shrimp ramen, perfect for a cold day. My partner got the salt and pepper wings. The ramen was flavorful, the wings were all flats (big thank you here, I don't understand how drumsticks end up in wings-wings is literally an anatomy term) and the masubi was tasty too. I was just popping in while my car got smogged-it's a nice place to sit and have a quick meal. Some orders came out before me, but I assume that is due to what is ordered-there were multiple people cooking, making drinks and taking orders, and not everything is hot food. I'd rather have food served hot and not have to wait for hot food to be completed in order to get something cold like poké. Perhaps working in food service has given me perspective here. I have visited Tachi Bubble Tea a couple times and it's a decent restaurant and drink shop. I have always ordered my drink or food to-go. The seating area is pretty typical and there always seem to be enough tables available if I wished to eat in-person. I believe I even saw some outlets along the wall, so that could be a nice option if your battery charge is running low. I have tried both the sushi burrito and a sushi rice bowl. You must complete a form to select your base (burrito, rice bowl, salad bowl), rice option (white, white w/furikake, brown rice, brown rice w/furikake), green base (salad and/or spring mix), proteins (lots to choose from some raw and non-raw options), mix-ins (again lots to choose from), flavors (ex: cucmber, cream cheese, edamame, kimchi etc.) toppings (sushi egg, cilantro, green onion, seaweed salad etc.) and crunch (fried onion, fried garlic, fried wonton noodle or teriyaki seaweed). You are supposed to be able to select flavors or sauces on the side, I chose this option both visits but only once was it prepared in that way. The proteins may be purchased in a combination of 2, 3, or 4 proteins or add on extra scoops for an additional $2.50. I felt that the portion sizes were decent and so were all the add-ins. I wouldn't order this to eat later as I noticed the rice didn't seem to stay the optimal texture when I ate leftovers a few hours later. I have tried a couple drink options. My first visit I asked the employee for some suggestions. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. She knew to ask if I preferred caffeine or no caffeine and a milk base or fruity option. I have tried the Taichi Jasmine Green milk tea with pudding, the Sweet potato Zang Zang special and the Wintermelon milk tea. The Zang Zang special I had was the puree topping. You either need to mix the drink really well or expect to have milk with random bits of puree. I actually really enjoyed it as it wasn't a sweet flavor. The wintermelon milk tea was too sweet for my liking. I definitely would need to adjust the sugar level if I were to order this again. read more
