It was an open buffet, and the staff checked on us a few times throughout our visit, making sure everything was okay and that we had what we needed. The ambiance was really nice, and I honestly loved the vibe of the place. There was a belly dancer, and she was really nice and added a fun, lively touch to the overall experience. The food was good overall. It wasn't too bad at all, and I enjoyed what I tried, though I do wish there had been a bit more variety to choose from. Even so, everything was still tasty and satisfying. Dessert was also good and a nice way to end the meal. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with good service, a nice atmosphere, and enjoyable food, and I would definitely consider going back.

The take-out counter was open, so we opted for that instead. Most of the foods on display were ready-to-go and vegetarian / vegan. You can also order manakeesh (Lebanese flatbread topped with toppings such as cheese, spinach, and za'atar - akin to thin-crust pizza) to be made on site. We opted for the vegetarian mix-and-match plates, which came with either rice or salad, 5 small sides, and 3 falafels. Most of the items were pretty good, my favourites being the arnabeet (cauliflower), eggplant with chickpeas and tomato-based sauce, bamya (okra), and white cannellini beans salad. The warak enab (also called dolma or stuffed grape vine leaves) was flavourless and had too much ratio-to-grape vine leaves ratio (more rice inside that I'd like). The tabbouleh was way too salty. The other dishes were good though. Although the manakeesh was made fresh to order, it came out pretty fast. It was also extremely salty. There were a few small tables by the take-out counter, for those who wish to eat the take-out items on the spot. They packaged all the items very well to avoid leakage.

A couple of Saturdays ago, I needed to grab some takeout for dinner. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found Tahini's. It's a few doors down from a No Frills, in a plaza that has a McDonald's, Dollarama, Kaiyo Sushi, and more. I got the following items: - Regular habibi bowl (BOGO) - Beef samosas (2) I got an estimated time of fifteen minutes for my food to be ready. I drove over to this eatery and backed into a parking spot. I waited a bit before I headed inside the eatery to pick my food up. I headed to the counter on the left. A woman said hi. When I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order, she abruptly interrupted me and said that I needed to be on the right. I didn't feel any warmth from her. I felt like I was scolded by her for not knowing. It was my first time at this eatery. The only door in and out of this eatery is directly in front of this woman. Naturally, folks would head over to you, especially a newbie like me. You order on the left. You pick up your food on the right. Got it. I made my way over to the right. I had a friendly woman there who let me know that she was waiting for my beef samosas. Cool. It was enough time for me to take photos. The unpleasant woman seemed happier talking to a male colleague in front of the protein spits. I took a photo. She looked my way. She seemed to default to her sour disposition again. I had the inclination to delete the photo capturing her unpleasant expression, and take another photo once she went into the kitchen. It's one star off my rating. She clearly didn't like me. The feeling was mutual. The beef samosas were done. Yay! The other woman packed up everything and handed me my paper bag full of food. I thanked her and wished her a good evening. She reciprocated. I then headed to my car and drove home. I had the beef samosas first. OMG! They were delicious. The wrapper was crispy and not greasy. The beef filling was generous and yummy. I should have got six. Yum! I had one of the regular bowls that evening and the other the following day. I specified light hot sauce. It was perfect. The chicken shawarma was tender and yummy. I liked the toum. It had the perfect amount of garlic. The parsley provided a pop of colour. It didn't taste like anything. The rice was fluffy and delicious. This bowl was excellent. I had the other bowl for dinner the following day. It heated up nicely and was equally as yummy. I loved everything that I had consumed. I'll be back for a shawarma wrap and more. I'm hoping that the sourpuss woman isn't there upon my return. (451)

The interior of the restaurant was spacious and comfortable. We received a warm welcome by the amiably attentive staff from the moment we entered. We placed our order immediately - falafels, hummus, labneh, moutabbal, and arnabeet - and didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. We were given two freshly baked steaming hot homemade pitas which came straight from their stone oven. The food here is very good. The falafels were deliciously made with ground chickpeas, super seasoned with fresh herbs. They were scrumptiously salty, fried to a crispy golden brown, topped with sesame seeds and served with a tahini dip. Next was the fried cauliflower which was tossed in a tahini-garlic sauce and drizzled with copious amounts of sour lemon. The sour lemony taste of the arnabeet served as a counterpoint to the salty flavour of the crunchy falafels. Served with fresh baked pita bread came the delightful hummus, labneh, moutabbal dips. The moutabbal was exceptionally tasty made with fire roasted eggplant, blended with tahini-garlic topped with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and jewelled with a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds. The hummus was an excellently smooth blend of chickpeas and creamy tahini. A solid choice. The labneh pressed yogurt mixed with garlic, drizzled with olive oil and topped with zaatar seasoning of thyme and sesame seeds. Their dessert section appealed to me, particularly the Lebanese Kinafe boat made from shredded vermicelli filled with cheese baked and drizzled with sweet rose blossom syrup, served in a freshly baked sesame pie. I am already planning what to try out for my next visit - the Paramount Special Drink of mango/strawberry juice and chopped tropical fresh fruits with strawberry, kiwi, pineapple, topped with almonds, pistachios, ashta cream and honey. Amazing restaurant for delicious middle eastern food, clean comfortable dining atmosphere and excellent service. Thankful that they are open late until 10 PM on weekdays and until 11 PM on weekends.

We had called prior to ask if they took reservations and they said not unless it was for a very big group. I was familiar with the franchise and knew what I wanted to order. We got a chicken shawarma wrap, a mixed combo entree and a beef hummus. The beef hummus was as I expected. Good amount of meat and super flavorful. Really enjoyed it with the pita. The chicken wrap was a little disappointing - it was a bit dry and a bit smaller than expected. The mixed combo grill tasted great - with kafta, beef and chicken. It did feel a little overpriced at nearly $30 but it was tasty. The service was so so. It was very comfortable seating as it wasn't busy. We were checked on maybe once and it was hard to flag someone down to get a refill of water (which didn't happen). Overall was a decent experience and would come back.

I'd then sit in my car and eat before heading home. I did it well before COVID-19 was a thing. I still eat in my car these days, especially when I'm hangry. This restaurant's location hasn't changed. However, it now has two lanes that end up converging by the time you hit the first drive-thru window. I came here on a Friday night. I pulled out my McD's app to provide a code to collect points. I felt like a quarter pounder with cheese combo and got one. I got regular fries and a Diet Coke, which seem to be my usual order as of late. The woman at the drive-thru was nice. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. My drink came out first, followed by my food in a paper bag. I thanked her and happily drove home without cursing at any bad drivers. My quarter pounder with cheese hit the spot. It was yummy. My fries looked a bit droopy and sad, as if they wanted to be potato contortionists when they grew up. However, they tasted yummy and salted nicely despite their soggy appearance. My drink washed everything down. It was icy cold and didn't taste watered down. It was nice returning here to relive memories being a regular McD's customer. It has improved since I was last here. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (54)

The crème brûlée doughnut was a nice treat. Though I wouldn't come to McDonald's just to order it, I do think if you're curious, it's probably worth it. I felt that the maple iced and caramel filled doughnut as well as the apple fritter and Boston cream doughnuts were similarly delicious. I don't know that it really stacks up against any speciality shop or even Tim Hortons but I would say it was worth the price. Similarly, though I don't typically order them, I tried a selection of their smoothies and actually found them quite pleasant too. The real star was their peach passion fruit smoothie. I would definitely order this again. It was sweet, tangy, and just a pleasant surprise. I also found the strawberry banana smoothie and blueberry pomegranate smoothie to be quite good but my personal addiction to peach flavoured drinks means the the peach passion fruit will always come first. They all come in festive cups to boot for the holidays. If you were wondering if any of these items were worth the try, I'd definitely give them a go as you might find them surprisingly good. Also, if you haven't tried the Apple pies yet, they are always delicious (though I suspect many of you have already experience these little delights). As a side note, they are just better in Canada than in other parts of the world due to the method of preparation. I think Canada bakes them and other countries deep fry them. You'd be surprised at the difference. I would however avoid the "li'l doughnuts". I found them disgusting. Timbits are way better. The next things on my list to try are the festive ginger cookies. Though I found most of these items good, they are chalk full of sugar which makes little, if anything, about them nutritious. They are also likely filled with refined sugars too but I'm sure none of us are going to McDonald's for the health benefits so perhaps give these a try next time you're there.
