This McDonald's visit conjured up a lot of memories being a regular well over a decade ago. I used to drop by the drive-thru after work when I used to work in Scarborough to grab dinner. I'd then sit in my car and eat before heading home. I did it well before COVID-19 was a thing. I still eat in my car these days, especially when I'm hangry. This restaurant's location hasn't changed. However, it now has two lanes that end up converging by the time you hit the first drive-thru window. I came here on a Friday night. I pulled out my McD's app to provide a code to collect points. I felt like a quarter pounder with cheese combo and got one. I got regular fries and a Diet Coke, which seem to be my usual order as of late. The woman at the drive-thru was nice. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. My drink came out first, followed by my food in a paper bag. I thanked her and happily drove home without cursing at any bad drivers. My quarter pounder with cheese hit the spot. It was yummy. My fries looked a bit droopy and sad, as if they wanted to be potato contortionists when they grew up. However, they tasted yummy and salted nicely despite their soggy appearance. My drink washed everything down. It was icy cold and didn't taste watered down. It was nice returning here to relive memories being a regular McD's customer. It has improved since I was last here. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (54) read more

This is just a review of this locations recent featured menus items. Recently I tried their selection of doughnuts and smoothies and found them surprising pleasant. The crème brûlée doughnut was a nice treat. Though I wouldn't come to McDonald's just to order it, I do think if you're curious, it's probably worth it. I felt that the maple iced and caramel filled doughnut as well as the apple fritter and Boston cream doughnuts were similarly delicious. I don't know that it really stacks up against any speciality shop or even Tim Hortons but I would say it was worth the price. Similarly, though I don't typically order them, I tried a selection of their smoothies and actually found them quite pleasant too. The real star was their peach passion fruit smoothie. I would definitely order this again. It was sweet, tangy, and just a pleasant surprise. I also found the strawberry banana smoothie and blueberry pomegranate smoothie to be quite good but my personal addiction to peach flavoured drinks means the the peach passion fruit will always come first. They all come in festive cups to boot for the holidays. If you were wondering if any of these items were worth the try, I'd definitely give them a go as you might find them surprisingly good. Also, if you haven't tried the Apple pies yet, they are always delicious (though I suspect many of you have already experience these little delights). As a side note, they are just better in Canada than in other parts of the world due to the method of preparation. I think Canada bakes them and other countries deep fry them. You'd be surprised at the difference. I would however avoid the "li'l doughnuts". I found them disgusting. Timbits are way better. The next things on my list to try are the festive ginger cookies. Though I found most of these items good, they are chalk full of sugar which makes little, if anything, about them nutritious. They are also likely filled with refined sugars too but I'm sure none of us are going to McDonald's for the health benefits so perhaps give these a try next time you're there. read more

I haven't actually been inside this McDonalds location before the pandemic, so I can't speak to how it was pre-pandemic. However, they've adhered well to the social distancing measures for dine-in! Certain tables have been blocked off so there's at least 2 meters between tables. The whole place is VERY clean and tidy, and the staff seem pretty nice--appreciation for their work during these times! Food is your typical McDonald's fare. I came at 11pm on a Friday night. The fries felt fresh off the fryer and the burger was warm, no complaints from me! read more

This location's error rate is about 30%+. I have been to this location many times because it's the closest to my house with a drive-thru. A lot of errors. A lot of wasting gas to get missing food... However, during some days and hours it can get busy and you will be waiting for a while for your food. This location has great seating options and a nice scenery. This is a very busy McDonald's location within an Asian strip mall. It's open 24-7 and has a drive-thru service, a large dining area plus a kids playground inside the restaurant. Seating consists of booths, counter tables & chairs, single seat couches plus regular tables & chairs. High chairs are available for the kids. This one has to be the one with worse customer service, speed and quality out if all McDonald's. I came here to grab a free coffee during their promotion period. Saw the line for the drive thru wasn't too long so I decided to pull thru. I asked for 2 small coffees, one for me and my friend which is waiting in the parking lot. Makes no sense to idle 2 cars thru drive thru for coffee. The employee asks if there was 2 people in my car or else I can't get 2 coffees. I told her my friend is in the parking lot plus there's no restrictions on the promo anyways. She hesitated, giving me attitude then she's like fine, second window. She didn't ask if I wanted anything else, whatsoever. When I drove pass the 1st window, she gave me a face with unsatisfied attitude, and wave her hand to keep me moving. I am rewriting this review. I said it's always fast and reliable previously.. not so much. I like how this one is 24/7 but hate the fact that the later it gets, the more they run out of absolutely everything- including their staff. That's not the issue. Bf wanted food here today and I already knew that they probably have zero to maybe 1-2 vegetarian choices (usually I take those and make it vegan), we went through the drive thru and I asked them to take out all the dairy products in the mediterrean veggie wrap. The girl took out most of the ingredients.. feta cheese, the sauce.. even the hummus? Last time I checked, hummus was vegan but whatever. I didn't want to delay her so I just pleaded to make sure there's absolutely no dairy in it. She ensured me that it would all be taken out and she had gone through all the ingredients. Later at home, after a few bites into it while watching a movie, I looked down and saw little white chunks.. unsure if they were crunchy bits or something else, I licked it and indeed it was shredded moz cheese. The thought of those few bites with bits of cheese (thank goodness it was only a little bit) made my stomach turn and my head feel lightheaded. I gagged a few times and tears started to slip out.. I'm sorry, I'm dramatic but I've never felt so.. betrayed? by a McD's. Needless to say, I shoved the rest of the wrap to the bf and laid there for the rest of the night. No no no! What if it was something more intense than veganism? What if it was an allergy?? Even writing this still, my stomach feels uneasy. Placebo effect maybe, but it's all about morals. Went through drive through so we didn't experience the inside, but girl at drive thru was extremely rude in her tone and facial expressions/gestures. They couldn't get the order ready quick enough so we ended up having to park which kinda makes the drive thru irrelevant and when we received the fries, they had hardly any salt and tasted somewhat bland and dry. I notice that everytime i order a single burger in the drive thru, they would never put my order in a bag and would just hand me the burger and napkins. It's like they are too cheap to give you a bag and expect you to get food greasy on your car... When i asked for a bag, they would simply hand me the bag, without putting my order inside. Just had their third pounder Angus Beef Burger. Now normally I dislike Angus Beef, because of the gamy aftertaste. So got their combo with large iced coffee and fries for about $9. It's actually not too bad, so not bad that I am thinking this is not actual Angus beef, especially since it didn't have that gamy aftertaste. The place has two registers open, so you would think that they would man both of them during the lunch hour since its adjacent to a high school. But they don't. This McDonald's service is all over the place. Either you get someone really nice, or someone who just wants an empty restaurant. For today though, the service was awful. I am not the type to rate restaurants (if you can even call this place a restaurant) but this is an exception. This manager saw me and a friend walk in with bags of groceries and of course, we want to put some stuff down (because it's heavy) before we order food. We did have an open bag of snacks walking in but thats because my friend has diabetes and needs some food or she will faint. The manager approached us as the moment we sat down and immediately told us to leave if we eat the food inside or he'll throw the food away and kick us out. We told him that we just needed to put our groceries down, my friend has diabetes, and that we were going to order as soon as we can. But he said the same thing, left, and continued to eye us. It became too uncomfortable for us to even continue our stay, the embarrassment alone was unbearable because he voiced it from the fountain to our booth (that's around 2m, the people around us definitely heard the ordeal). Our intention was to sit down, put our things away and order food but after that approach, I don't think I'll go there for a quick snack ever. Unless it's midnight cause I know that manager's cool an the food's good. As for the manager that approached us though, he's not cool, I don't understand how he worked his way up to that position with those set of skills. read more

Went in on thursday feb 23, 2017 at 12:10am (technically feb 24). Ordered a big mac with extra mac sauce. One of the patties was shrunk and burnt, very little mac sauce, and the big mac had no pickles. Tasted nothing like a big mac. I mean who is working in the back, who doesn't put pickles in a big mac? and why give me a charcoal burnt patty? That wasn't a normal burger, it was a "disgruntled employee burger". Usually go through the drive-thru at this location (that is when I actually DO go to a Mcdonalds) but I decided to go inside to grab a couple of breakfast combos. For the time in the morning it was nice and clean and bright. They only had one register opened and it was different people helping you instead of a designated cashier. They would take one order then disappear for a while! Even a person from drive-thru walked up to the cash but then told the customer oh sorry you have to wait and goes back to their drive-thru post. It seemed very disorganized and it didn't look like there was anyone on a management team to keep the employees in a designated spot. This morning I ordered an egg and sausage McGriddle combo with a small double-double coffee, and another large double-double coffee. I asked for the round egg instead of the folded egg for the McGriddle. However, I received an egg and sausage McMuffin with folded egg instead. The coffee was not double-double but with 2 milk. On top of that, I gave the cashier a coupon for a breakfast meal $3.29 deal, but it was not applied to my total, which ended up to be $7.10. There was no receipt in my bag either. I had to repeat my order for more than twice, and it was still a big mess. Yesterday, I ordered 2 medium mocha and 1 medium double-double coffee, and there was no sugar in it either. I went to there tonight, and it made my whole day so badly. My parent and I ordered the free French Fries and some other stuff. When I went to pick up the food, one of the employees started to explain their French fries rules to me. That employee began to have an argument with me, but I didn't listen to what she is saying. The employee said that one fries per customer, then I let my parent go to pick up the fries. I waited for another five minutes, but I didn't get my McFlurries, I asked the counter and that employee said they already gave the fries to me. They didn't even read what I was asking. After, that employee asked me for my receipts and I gave it. But, they still didn't give me Ice Coffee, and that employee told me to wait and show the receipt to her. I didn't have the receipt with me because she asked me to give it to her. They didn't give me any napkins. Anyways, I feel the service is very poor and it makes me feel so angry. read more
