My favorite cocktail was the After Dark I usually don't drink rum but it was yummy. The sangria had a bitter taste probably would be better with red wine instead of white wine. The food portion sizes were small but were perfect for me! Got a salad, the salmon with mash potatoes which was seasoned well and cooked to my liking and I lined The cream sauce! The chocolate cake was yummy! One of the owners Victor came over to check on us and gave us a free drink so I enjoyed the service. The place is nicely decorated and felt relaxing alittle loud but it was packed. They also give you two hours of free parking.

My profile: 40s, grown and sexy, open to trying new food in the city and I like an elevated dining environment and based on the clientele, the crowd skewed younger than my group **Greeting Area: Patrons enter front-and-rear pass-through elevator; It is a small area which got stacked up with people waiting for their table. You are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and you are given a 15 min. grace period for your table, before your reservation is cancelled, per my friend. We waited a bit because I was 13 minutes late, delaying the seating of our party - when we were seated, the place was not full, so I'm curious why we had to wait. **Food: The food was hot and well-prepared. Nothing was overly salty and the side sauce on the kebobs was a perfect complement to flavor - I didn't have the burger that my friend had but he described it as flavorful and the fries looked very crispy and perfectly made **Ambience: You have two hours to eat from when the orders are put into the system - this always irks me because you feel like you're on a conveyor belt and rushed to eat. For $30 chicken kebobs, can I have a moment? But, I have a theory...the volume of the music helps to "bump" you right on out the door and speeds up your eating - it was too loud and made it hard for us to hear the server, much less the convo at the table. We asked for it to be turned down a bit, but not sure that ever happened. In addition, hookah. Why? The place is not vented, nor are these hookah-ers seated on the patio. **Decor: They were missing the brunchspot "flower wall", however, floral decor was abounding - there was nice furniture in the "regency style" was mixed with modern elements; it was tasteful but we need to do a good wipedown and dusting of windows, mirrors and lighting - I took a mirror selfie which had a giant smudge mark **Service: Aliyah was our server and she was very personable and she had a very welcoming spirit. We ordered some beverages and additional sauces, which were never delivered when the restaurant started to fill up and we ultimately cancelled them --Glows: Great service, good app (the wings), front end staff was pleasant and took a photo of our group, good/hot food --Grows: Wipe down the glass leading to the restroom (VISIBLE and clear smudges from people touching the glass), clean the chandeliers, clear out the (kitchen?) smoke from the men's room, allow for an approved list of side item subs (rice or fries/mashed potatoes, etc.), stop charging for 2 additional ozs. of sauce for the food - the food cost doesn't justify this "nickel and diming", don't serve a chipped or broken plate to a customer: THROW IT OUT (details make the difference) Hacks: Park on the 2nd level and enter through the front-and-rear pass-through elevator to get to the restaurant, get two hours of free parking at the front desk The verdict: I think it's a one-and-done. Great potential, great product but I'll leave this for the youngins.

When visiting back in May, there was only 1 Bar tender and while there weren't too many people, service was still slow. We were not in a rush and the bar tender was busy so we were not upset. I only discovered this place because a very popular…read moreand incredible salsa instructor teaches here on Sundays (highly recommend him he is 'SalsaEddy'). Unfortunately, after one of my classes there, I forgot my shoes that I had changed out of and I called them to see if they could look and they were very rude and hung up on me because they simply said no we can't do that. So I quickly messaged the instructor, knowing his classes were still going on, and not long after he messaged me back a picture and said are these your shoes and I'm so happy he did that because I don't trust this place to have cared, but to also have even looked after the class was over. He kindly left it with the staff there and let me know so I called and they were very rude and snappy to say "Yes OK?! we have them". I was unable to go that following week to pick them up so I went a little over a week later and I just wanted to call to confirm they were still there and the person again was very rude and simply said "YES WE ALREADY TOLD YOU A WEEK AGO THEY WERE HERE AND YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE COME TO PICK THEM UP SO IF YOU DIDN'T THEN THEY MUST STILL BE HERE!" and hung up. Since I was making the commute out there in traffic on a Friday with my daughter I decided to call back and ask that they confirm that they're still back there and the same gentleman answered, and very rudely said " LISTEN WE ARE NOT A SHOE STORE. SO NO WE ARE VERY BUSY!" and to no surprise been a surprise HUNG UP right after that. When I got there, there were tables open and the bartenders greeted me and clearly did not know. I was the same person that they had been very rudely talking to so I asked about the shoes he went and got them and I asked if he was the gentleman I had taught you on the phone and he couldn't even look me in the eye but still said "no". However, I recognized his voice and clearly knew it was him. This place is not only is very expensive for drinks and food, but the staff being the way they are no customer should ever be treated like this. I was not rude, was not angry, and yet was treated with such little respect. There are a bunch of other, really nice places with the same vibe and much nicer stuff that you can give your money to on a night out. **Update: completely disagree with your response, and the fact that you can't take ownership for the way that your staff talks to customers is exactly why I feel my review is very valid. I did not call 8 times. These were not house slippers. Also, some additional notes you made are not true.**

Atmosphere is casual, service…read moreis friendly, the vibe is definitely Viking (and from what I have heard, it's really popping during brunch!). We came on. Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

The origami ceiling, lively bar, friendly staff, unique cocktails, fun bathroom, and photo booth in the corner made for an unforgettable experience. My friend said it was the busiest he had ever seen the place, and it was loud. It's cute, moody, and has that feeling like you're not even in Houston anymore. It's not a big space, so it does get pretty loud between the music and everyone talking. The music was just okay. If you like house music, you'll probably enjoy it here. The DJ did mix in some popular hip-hop, R&B, and reggaeton songs throughout the night, which I appreciated. We started with shots that were really good. They tasted almost like a shot of honey, but unfortunately I can't remember the name. We all ordered the Dolce Limone next, which was sweet and refreshing. For the next round, my cousin got the Mango something, and I ordered the French Connection. The French Connection was awful. It tasted like straight-up cough syrup, and I couldn't even pretend to finish it. Our last round was Palomas, and those were good. In between drinks, we ordered the meat and cheese board. It was cute and made for a nice little snack, but there was nothing particularly special about the selection. The waitresses were nice, and overall we had a good time. I genuinely don't have much bad to say about the place other than the drinks. They're not bad across the board, but they're also nothing particularly special, especially for the price. There are definitely better cocktail lounges in Houston if you're looking for actual mixology and cocktails that justify the price.

We had an amazing server, delicious drinks (a must try), and ok food. We ordered four drinks the painkilla, vamos à la playa, captains grog, and the Hemingway daiquiri. All were great drinks and we loved how they give you flavor characteristics of the drinks on the menu. The appetizers that we ordered were the sweet and sour cauliflower and the pork dumplings, which is why I gave this place four stars. The presentation of both appetizers were excellent. However, the pork dumplings were disappointing. They came with only six dumplings for $17, were served cold, and are very bland. In my opinion, they weren't worth the price. On the other hand, the sweet and sour cauliflower was our favorite and is definitely a must-try.

Our server rarely checked on us, and it took more than 30 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, everything was cold. We ordered the egg breakfast, which was supposed to come with potatoes. The potatoes never arrived. By the time I was able to ask about them, we had finished eating. They were eventually brought out, and our server said we "wouldn't be charged" for them, even though they were included with the meal. We also ordered the French toast, which the menu said came with either blueberry compote or fresh strawberries. No one asked which we preferred, and because our server never checked on us, I couldn't clarify. It arrived with only syrup. When I asked the food runner for the strawberries, she brought jam instead. I understand restaurants are busy on game days, but this felt like more than a busy shift. The service was inattentive, the food was late and cold, and several basic details were missed. Very disappointing.
