Our server, Lia, was wonderful--super patient, always smiling, and really helpful when it came to recommending dishes. She took the time to explain options, and her suggestions were spot on. Food-wise, everything hit the mark. The pig ears were surprisingly good with great texture and flavor. The Garlic Bone Marrow Noodle Soup was rich and comforting, and the Herbal Spare Ribs had a really nice, well-balanced herbal taste. Consistently good food, a comfortable vibe, and service like this are why Food Terminal continues to be a neighborhood favorite for me.

It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper

We both had off menu specials . Mine included crispy fried seafood all very well cooked, lobster tail, shrimp and scallops crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside all put in a pineapple shell. My friend's included the most succulent lamb chops with crispy lobster tail. My friend and I both enjoyed our food tremendously. Of course we couldn't help but share so we could each try everything. From the appetizers: dumplings and rolls to the drinks and our entrees, everything was tastefully plated and styled. The server was very helpful in giving us her opinions on dishes and all of her recommendations were spot on. She was friendly and service was timely. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and perfect for a date night or any special occasion. Gratuity is included already at 18% on each bill. You can add more if you desire. For a date night be prepared to spend about $350.

The…read moredrinks were great, the Nang's Tasting Tree appetizer was a fantastic assortment, and the Siam Ocean and Sea Bass Panang special were both flavorful and well-seasoned. The food came out quickly, and overall it was a really nice evening. Now the bad news. When my girlfriend got home and opened her to-go box, there was a bottle cap inside the container. I'm not sure how it got in there, but it clearly ended up packed in with the food. While the food and service were excellent, finding a bottle cap in your to-go box is simply unacceptable. Because of that, I have to lower my rating to be fair. When you pay over $369.00 for two people you'd expect better. Still a beautiful atmosphere and great for a first date--but I hope they pay closer attention to quality control with takeout orders.

For appetizers, we started with the crab rangoons and spring rolls, both were a great choice. For entrées, we ordered the pad see ew, which was the perfect balance of sweet and savory deliciousness. Overall, this is a great Thai spot in ATL, especially if you're near Atlantic Station. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the city!

Because the weather was amazing, we chose to sit at the patio and enjoy some views of Atlantic Station. I didn't have a huge appetite when I came so I just came for a few light bites that I was craving. I started off with the yellowtail jalapeño, and it was spectacular. I wanted 500 of them. With no need to add anything else to it, it was a perfect balance of a little bit of sweet with a lot of spice and a lot of savory. It's a perfect small plate if you're trying to decide between sashimi or sushi. Next for my main course, I enjoyed the Hawaii roll which was recommended by our server. As a raw sushi lover, I didn't want something too heavy but would also satisfy my craving. If you love a sweet and spicy bbq taste along with freshness, I would definitely try the Hawaii Roll. Now for the dessert, I decided on mango sticky rice, which I had for the first time here. It was so delicious that I even ordered one to go. The fresh and sweet mayo with the warm sticky rice and the sweet coconut milk with the yellow beans on top were a 10/10. I now have a new addiction and I'm not even a huge fan of sweets.

Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.

The service was attentive and helpful. The manager, we think that's who he was, also stopped by to check on our evening. It's got a great vibe. There are many places that you could bring me to, so if you wanna be away from the hibachi and have a quiet area, or you can be in the mix, The espresso martini was strong and too sweet. I started with the hot-and-sour soup. It was so good, and my friend started with a ginger salad. Our favorite roll was the one with multiple types of fish, rolled with cucumber. It was so fresh and delicious. It's a little hard to eat, but totally worth the effort. We also had a Sheldon room with spicy tuna, and it was square instead of the regular roll, and we really enjoyed that one, too. When we come back, we'll be tempted to order the same rolls, if we can figure out what they're called, but if not, there are so many other phenomenal options on the menu we'd be happy with.
