I felt welcomed as soon as I came in. I loved how clean the facilities were and the amenities. The gym has a solid women's team and the competition training is top notch. I was beat after class, we did like 12 rounds that were 3 minute long with 30 second rest in between. I was exhausted by then and apparently this is an easy day for them. Overall it was a good experience and the class is run by an amazing coral belt which I have never seen before so that's amazing to see!

I've…read morebeen trying to get myself to work out some more so I decided to try a 1 week unlimited to see if it was something I could see myself doing. First, vibes are kind of weird. This is the first studio i've been to where the front desk doesn't greet anyone and the instructors don't try to make conversation before or after class. The studio is a nice size, the machines are nice, there are only mirrors on two sides of the room (the front and one side) which makes it hard for around half of the room to see themselves, and the bathroom is below average for a boutique studio (they do have 2 showers). I went 7 days in a row and never really felt sore besides a really small feeling of soreness across my whole body kind of how you feel after you workout for the first time in a while. I will say this is partially my fault, because I couldn't do the excersizes for a super long period of time To elaborate, the sequencing of the majority of class/classes made no sense to me whatsoever, it seemed like there were too many variations so things would be too heavy and difficult or painful so you couldn't stay in for it long enough for it to actually build tension. They do give hands on corrections which is nice. On top of this the instructors have an odd superiority complex about lagree that i've never experienced anywhere else. I even went further and had my boyfriend come with me one morning, and he had a similar experience. I never felt better walking out than I did walking in. I will say it's not necessarily a bad place to workout, but out of all of the places I have worked out this one didn't fulfill me. I also want to say that the instructors aren't bad, it's just the sequencing that feels ineffective to me. I really enjoyed Marilu.

Never judge a gym by its equipment…read more First of all, I didn't even read the directions. I showed up in fish flip-flops with socks because I thought I signed up for Pilates. Turns out we were doing a full-body workout, and I definitely should have worn sneakers. That's on me. Then I walked in and they were fumbling with the TV. I immediately thought, "Lord, what did I sign myself up for? Are we about to watch a trainer on a screen and work out?" Little did I know, the trainer was standing right there. She was incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful. Don't let that fool you, though. She worked us HARD. She was like a wolf in sheep's clothing--in reverse. Sweet as could be, but she had us working like dogs. I had so much fun. They incorporated equipment I had never used before, including resistance bands and other training tools that challenged me in a good way. I booked through ClassPass, and when I finished the class, I immediately wanted to take pictures and leave a review. That's rare for me. Usually businesses ask for a review. This time, I wanted to leave one on my own. The studio is well organized and clean. The dumbbells and BOSU balls are neatly displayed on the walls. In the back, they have steps, kettlebells, and additional equipment. The bathroom was nice and clean. Across the hall, they have another room with Pilates mats, blocks, and equipment. The space almost feels like a refurbished ballet studio with ballet barres along the walls. Parking was easy, the workout was excellent, and the trainer was fantastic. Overall: 10/10. I will definitely be back.

The site shown # weeks at a special introductory price, whilst attempting to book the only option was for two weeks at said rate. I took a screenshot of the website (as advertised for 3 weeks) and messaged the studio.... someone then explained ton me that it SHOULD be for 2 weeks (which i understand). Here is where the problem comes in, 1) That is the studio's mistake, not mine. Thus they should honor the price that they had advertised on their website. 2) They did not. This was incredibly off putting to me and not indicative of the type of character that I would look for in a place of practice or anywhere that I would be spending money. Overall I just felt like that was a dishonorable way to handle a customer that was looking to become a new member. Even though its farther away from me than the bigger, more popular and established studios in my neighborhood, I wanted to support this studio. It appeared to be small and a more intimate vibe, however, once met with this unprofessionalism I quickly signed on for a much more expensive, yet conveniently located Bodyrok. Super professional and by the book, i'll pay more for that any day.

The Zumba instructor, Tammie, was warming up and came over to introduce herself. She was very engaging and energetic. The class was lots of fun and definitely a great workout. I thoroughly enjoyed her enthusiasm and hype dance moves. I took a friend along and she enjoyed it too. I will definitely return.

Fit to Be is located in the same building and on the same level as American Roadhouse. There's plenty of parking in the lot behind the building, and the studio has a small lobby area to wait in before classes start. They have a single room for classes, but it has a sliding barn door in the back, making it possible to conduct private training sessions at the same time a larger class is going on. Other reviews note that classes are capped at 15, but I've never had more than twelve. I have yet to take a class with Julie (the owner, acclaimed in many other reviews), but that's because I'm such a huge fan of Bryn's Ballerobica class at 9am on Saturdays. Barre or ballet-inpsired classes are a dime a dozen these days, but Ballerobica is the best I've found. It adds an aerobic element to the standard core exercises, so you feel like you've gotten a much bigger calorie burn. Plus, Bryn is a phenomenal teacher- she pushes without yelling and she is continually upbeat without being fake. Everyone -from students to teachers - seems genuinely glad to be there. I leave class feeling upbeat (and sweaty) which is exactly what I'm looking for. Though I discovered Fit to Be through Classpass (which is awesome, by the way), these are classes I might actually pay extra to be able to attend more of them than the three per month Classpass limits you to. At just $15 for one drop in class (and packages that go down in cost from there), Fit to Be is also one of the more reasonable gyms I've found. I can't wait to try more classes, because Fit to Be is certainly as good as it gets!
