The training room is a two-story building located on the east side beltline Trail. Known for being a great work out the training room provides two types of classes strong and lean. Strong classes resemble a CrossFit style except without the overhead weight lifting. It is much safer than an actual CrossFit class but it's similar and it's style and programming. Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays are upper body movement small Tuesdays and Thursdays are lower body movements. Weekend classes resemble a Mac con style class. Lean classes are more dumbbell focused rather than barbell focused. They follow the same schedule in terms of upper and lower body movements. The lean classes have more time focused on conditioning compared to the strong classes. I have gone to this gym for over four years and have thoroughly enjoyed all my time there. The trainers are very nice and accommodating and the staff as well rounded. Amber the owner is also fantastic and inserts some fundraising events and other fun classes to keep things interesting. If you're looking to get into fitness or challenge yourself and your current fitness regimen I highly recommend checking out the training room as it is a great option along the beltline.

Signed up for the Get Fit! class via Class Pass. Let me preface this with saying that all of my Class Pass experiences up to this point have been exceptional. Now, on with the nitty gritty... To start, the place is very poorly marked from the road. It took me 2 wrong turns to eventually find the parking lot. Not a reason they lost stars on my rating, but still, rather frustrating at 5:45am. This facility advertises that they have lockers and showers for your convenience. They do not, however, advertise that these are UNISEX and FILTHY. Thankfully, I had shower shoes, otherwise, I would have likely chosen to go to work sweaty. The class itself was fine. The instructor, Lindsay, was very high energy, which was refreshing at 6am. Unfortunately, the exercises themselves were poorly explained, and she did not offer many variations for a first-timer. I will admit though, that when I did ask for help, she was very accommodating. Overall, I think I received more assistance from the other class members. To summarize: this class just isn't my style, which is fine. It's the reason Class Pass exists! (I would have been VERY disturbed if I had actually spent the $25/class fee). However, I felt my experience warranted a review because the facility is simply not up to par, and I wish I had seen a review and pictures before I attended.

I tried Pure Barre for about 3 months, but was seeking variety in my workouts. F2B offers that with a plethora of classes and times! My body (and mind) have been challenged and I love seeing how my strength improves each class. If you're looking for a small studio with great vibes, definitely come check this studio out. You will not regret it!

Fit to Be is located in the same building and on the same level as American Roadhouse. There's plenty of parking in the lot behind the building, and the studio has a small lobby area to wait in before classes start. They have a single room for classes, but it has a sliding barn door in the back, making it possible to conduct private training sessions at the same time a larger class is going on. Other reviews note that classes are capped at 15, but I've never had more than twelve. I have yet to take a class with Julie (the owner, acclaimed in many other reviews), but that's because I'm such a huge fan of Bryn's Ballerobica class at 9am on Saturdays. Barre or ballet-inpsired classes are a dime a dozen these days, but Ballerobica is the best I've found. It adds an aerobic element to the standard core exercises, so you feel like you've gotten a much bigger calorie burn. Plus, Bryn is a phenomenal teacher- she pushes without yelling and she is continually upbeat without being fake. Everyone -from students to teachers - seems genuinely glad to be there. I leave class feeling upbeat (and sweaty) which is exactly what I'm looking for. Though I discovered Fit to Be through Classpass (which is awesome, by the way), these are classes I might actually pay extra to be able to attend more of them than the three per month Classpass limits you to. At just $15 for one drop in class (and packages that go down in cost from there), Fit to Be is also one of the more reasonable gyms I've found. I can't wait to try more classes, because Fit to Be is certainly as good as it gets!

Serious Safety & Liability Concerns - This Gym Puts Members at Risk…read more This gym is playing fast and loose with member safety, and it needs to be called out. The sauna has a clearly posted warning sign stating a maximum safe temperature of 185°F. Despite this, staff and management insist on running it at 200°F, knowingly exceeding their own posted safety limits. That alone is reckless and a massive liability issue. What made this worse: I entered the sauna first at a safe temperature. Another gym member then came in and turned the temperature up to 197°F, completely ignoring the warning sign. When I pointed out the posted safety limit, this individual became aggressive, threatened me, harassed me, and disturbed my peace while I was simply trying to protect my health. No member should feel unsafe--physically or verbally--while using a wellness facility. Management's response? Dismissive and unconcerned. Instead of addressing: * the unsafe temperature settings * the violation of posted safety guidelines * the harassment and threatening behavior by another member ...the manager failed to take the situation seriously at all. This gym is exposing itself to serious liability by: * Ignoring its own safety warnings * Allowing saunas to operate at dangerous temperatures * Failing to intervene when a member is threatened Saunas are supposed to support health--not endanger it. Until management starts prioritizing member safety, accountability, and basic respect, I strongly do not recommend this gym. Consider this a warning.

I really wanted to…read morelike CorePower, in part because they do have some excellent instructors and nicely kept facilities with showers etc. which you most definitely want in Atlanta. 95% of classes in Atlanta I've found are heated and CorePower is no exception, much to my dismay. This company seems to be one of the only here with convenient (caveats) locations and consistent quality of instructors / facilities. I like all of their classes, C2 classes have been my sweet spot, YogaSculpt is my punishment when I'm late for C2 (kicks my ass), and C1 when I've been beat. Tara, Ben and Cassidy are outstanding instructors and the rest of this review is no reflection on the staff. For $150/mo I really had hopes of this being a one-stop yoga shop. All they'd need is a smattering of yin and restorative classes, and some unheated options. I must say though, even after C1 classes, I've never left feeling relaxed. Great workouts, but must those be our only choices? On top of this, with the exceptions of the instructors I mentioned, all of the instructors have the same monologues down verbatim. Combined with how formulaic each class is, I never really felt like I was leaving yoga afterwards. Lastly, there are varying policies on tardiness. I admit I push it there sometimes, but today I was under two minutes late (due to parking nightmares) to three classes in midtown and O4W. Occasionally I've gotten lucky when someone was still in the front of the studio. Other times I've been told 5 minutes is the absolute latest anyone can be let in. The last straw today was a young woman coming out of the utility closet inside mouthing through the glass that she didn't have a key to open the door for me. I understand more affordable or smaller studios not being able to keep a staff person out front as a courtesy for 5 minutes, but there's no excuse for CorePower. Another mild nuisance was having to call to cancel. The hunt for a one-stop shop yoga studio in Atlanta continues.
