The lunch specials look way more affordable and i would like to try them. There are more at www.tacosytequilahanover.com

The best thing Tacos y Tequila does is create ambience with Mexican dinners served in a gorgeous, casual and modern environment, right down to its dinnerware. The dinner service, however, is made a bit less illustrious with staff whose personalities are mostly invisible. The food is good, yet out of 3 times dining there, I've never raved over a single thing I've eaten or thought about coming back for a dish. The presentation of their drinks and food, however, is impressive. The enchiladas and pineapple rice are good. The margaritas are good. Authentic and well-crafted. The lunch special prices look great and more affordable. I would like to try them and experience the day-time service. Here's to hoping it might be a more cheerful and/or less of a dry, vapid experience.

Came here for first time one year ago and it still remains delicious as ever. Excellent service. Best made to order margaritas hands down. I had the shrimp Diablo this time. My mouth was on fire. It was flavorful but I wouldn't get it again. Mixed veggies seemed like they came out of a bag. My husband loved the tacos so much!! Said best he has ever had. Rice is delicious.

Barbacoa Taco Mexican Rice Refried Beans Chiles Rellenos Enchilada

The ground beef was probably the worst I've ever had. It tasted like it had been in the steam table all day and did not have good flavor. The Mexican rice was crunchy and not tender. The refried beans were reconstituted bagged or canned beans. The Barbacoa taco was not authentic. It was made out of brisket or something. The tortilla was dry and the meat was dry. The onions that were on top of the taco were cut probably a week ago. The salsa was OK, but it wasn't really authentic. The chili relleno taste it like it was made from a mix as well, and not with egg whites and flour and baking powder like it should be. The enchilada sauce was absolutely horrible. As a professional chef who grew up in Texas and lived in southern California this would probably be the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life. The chips were warm and just OK. Even the Coke that I had did not taste right. Their mix was off so it was putting out too much syrup thus in increasing their cost of goods and decreasing the quality. At $125 per bib. They are probably losing at least 6% in profit or so because of this. I had to wave down the bartender to even get a drink. The ground beef burrito was nothing but ground beef rolled in a flour tortilla, and then covered with that nasty enchilada sauce that comes from a can. I told the bartender in Spanish that the food was not good and she just shrugged her shoulders And told me I am so sorry. She went on to say that she won't even eat there. It's a good location. It's cute and it seemed clean, but the food was absolutely not good. If you're just needing some rice and beans with maybe a chicken quesadilla or a quick steak taco, I could see stopping in here but do not order ground beef. Do not get the enchiladas and 100% do not order anything with that enchilada sauce on it.

The quesadilla was soooo cheesy and delicious My friend and I tried two of the special margaritas, prickly pear and pomegranate, they were DELICIOUS!

Tasty. Fiscal. Cozy. I've been to a lot of Mexican joints in my life and any destination offering $10 margaritas that aren't a splash of sour on a glass of ice are already winning in my book. TnT has these unicorn $10 margaritas and incredibly they actually taste pretty good. Ambiance is casual + cozy, with fast service and wood-resin river tables ill-equipped for daily dozing of tequila and sugar. Warm and colorful lighting adds a nice vibe and native speaking servers and staff add an oft-overlooked air of authenticity to this destination. Mole su poblano and guacamole was not the best I've had, but uniquely spicy and far better than expected for a college town. Prior reviews comparing free salsa to Prego spaghetti sauce are ill-informed: spaghetti sauce isn't spicy and was never delivered for free unless you're auditioning for a live action Lady and the Tramp show starring human beings with more skills in complaining about free food than Yelping about The Bachelor, Paw Patrol Edition. So what does that all have to do with TnT Cliff? Absolutely nothing so keep the focus on tasty $10 margs, friendly service, and entrees far better than any college town taco joint should offer.

The atmosphere is classy and casual with friendly hosts and severs who take time to answer menu questions and be sure you have what you would like. With a full bar, vast wine and beer list featuring local selections, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverage options, there is something for everyone. Our meal began with a flavor packed broth soup, featuring lemon, parsley, chicken and rice. The hearty portion was perfect for 3 to share. Next came the salads: baby greens with pickled onions and homemade vinaigrette, and rubbed kale with cranberries and nuts. Delicious! The swordfish main is crafted with an amazing balance of sweet blueberry sauce and a touch of cayenne to make the flavors pop. The chicken dish featured a tasty glaze and features grilled lemon, a surprise twist. Both mains were served with a veggie side and atop smashed potatoes- creamy and flavorful, and with lots of texture. Dinner was capped by the featured dessert, blueberry lemon panna cotta. So smooth, creamy, and heavenly! Just the right amount of citrusy syrup to complement the richness. Gather features fresh and local ingredients. This family owned and run restaurant is one of many endeavors Lisa and Jonathan Burr have successfully fully created. You will not be disappointed with your Gather dining experience!

You enter at the front and the tickets are sold in the gift shop immediately on your right. The lady selling the tickets was friendly and chatted with us. She said there was a tour starting at 11 a.m. Another guy wandered in who turned out to be the guide. After a little confusion, he led us through the building to a sunlit room towards the back. Here they had some chairs set up facing a TV. He first discussed a bit of general Shaker background with us and then started the ~ 10-minute video about them. It was interesting. The video ended at about the same time that another group of 3 German tourists was escorted back by the ticket lady. Our guide seemed a bit torn, and asked if we wanted to see the video again. We deferred, figuring that we could wander around outside for a few minutes (it was still only around 10:40 a.m.) before the tour. He then started the video for the new group. We walked around some of the buildings and took a few photos now that the morning fog had burned off. We then went back in and asked the ticket lady about the tour, as it was then around 10:50 a.m. She said that it may have already started, so we walked back to the video room. The guide was indeed discussing a topo map of the site with the Germans. We joined in and the tour then began. This was interesting; he discussed how the building was laid out (mostly to allow separation of the male and female Shakers). He showed us the basement workshops / storage areas as well as the common dining room. An older couple passed us at one point early in the tour and headed inside. A couple of minutes later, the ticket lady led the couple back to the tour group. They had intended to join the 11 a.m. tour (at 11 a.m.) and were somewhat irate that they had missed part of it. The staff tried to be helpful and offered them a refund, but in the end they settled down and just joined the tour. I sympathized with the couple in this case - if you state that you have an 11 a.m. tour, it seems like you should at least designate where to meet (presumably at 11 a.m.). The tour here just seemed to coalesce at some time in the neighborhood of 11 a.m. We continued touring the ground floor and then made our way upstairs to the 2nd floor, where there was an even larger central room for worship services. The way the builders included cabinets in almost every part of the interior walls, and how they arranged shutters for the windows, was quite interesting. Note that one of the 'simple gifts' that the builders were not able to include here was an elevator. Hence, if you have mobility issues, climbing the stairs between floors may be something you should factor in to your planning. The tour then headed next door to a church that the subsequent owners (a Catholic organization) had built. The interior was interesting with plenty of stained glass. Our guide wrapped up the tour with quick stops at a couple of mostly gutted outbuildings. It was about 12:10 p.m. at that point. I thought this was an interesting site. You should just allow some flexibility on tour timings.

It has what I would call "charming wear and tear" - part of the vintage character of a New England inn. There is no attempt to retain the charm of yesteryear while providing the qualities of the modern era, this is pure charm of yesteryear. With multiple sitting areas, guest rooms in different shapes and styles, as well as attic rooms with interesting roof lines and floor plans, it works. I will say that the mattress in our suite was too soft for us - we are used to a firm mattress - so if you have a sensitive spine you might want to ask if they have a room with a firmer mattress. The breakfast offered eggs, sausage and bacon, muffins, bagels etc. Simple and good enough. Guest reception pretty much terminates around 8 PM so if your arrival is anything later than that you reach out in advance for directions to access the property. Overall a typical New England style Inn in a typical New England town that is a cozy respite for a weary traveler. I would say my most accurate rating would be 3 1/2 stars.
