Great little dive bar. Chicken fingers and fries were good, burger was decent, beers were cold, bartender and cook were friendly.

Don't want to call it a dive, as the people were pretty nice and welcoming, even to this out-of-towner.

We stopped while visiting Woodstock. It was a Friday evening and we didn't have reservations…read more There were no tables inside so we were seated outside on the deck. I am Celiac, so I was questioning different items on the menu to see if they were gluten-free. The majority of the waitstaff didn't know much about whether items were gluten-free or not. They did go back to the cooks and find out. We had the chips & guacamole, and street corn cob as an appetizer. The chips for the chips and guac were mostly broken, which was disappointing, but the guacamole was very good. The tortilla chips are not gluten-free. They are made of corn, but are cooked in the same fryer as the churros which means they are cross contaminated. The street corn on the cob was excellent and we found out, gluten-free. Two of the members of our group had burritos. They were very big and well wrapped. They both enjoyed them. The rest of us had tacos. We had Carne Asada. (Excellent!), tuna (also very good) and pork (excellent!). If you don't like spice, the pork is the way to go. I ordered the chickpea and sweet potato side with my tacos. It was so spicy it was un edible. Even those in our group who like a lot of spice said it was too much and I couldn't eat it. Overall, it was a great meal. We really enjoyed ourselves. The deck was nice and I did not get sick from cross contamination. Overall, Trail Break was a winner.

One of our favorite spots in the Upper Valley!…read more They've expanded their non alcoholic beverage list and it's PHENOMENAL. Get the coconut mango limeade or the maple guava lemonade -- SO GOOD. I dream about the pineapple salsa and street corn almost every night and the shrimp and/or raw tuna tacos are to die for. Also the duck wings... oh my god. And whatever you do, do NOT leave without an order of churros. Fun, casual vibes both inside and out. Sabrina, Cindy, Alejo, and Topher are always such a joy, fantastic service!!

Wolf Tree - "Friday I'm In Love"

What used to be a sketchy area is now filled with boutique shops, bustling businesses of tech and industry, arts, culture, and restaurants. One such upscale craft cocktail bar is Wolf Tree. If you didn't know it, you might feel as if you'd stepped into a hipster cocktail lounge in Brooklyn as you walk into Wolf Tree. They offer a variety of playful and inventive drinks. My friend was able to get a virgin cocktail but I just wish they had more than one single cocktail on the menu with vodka. With my choices somewhat limited, I went with a drink called "Friday I'm In Love": vodka, citrus, strawberry, mint, and bubbles. It looked beautiful when it arrived to the table and was a palate pleaser with sour, sweet, and minty flavors. They have weekly specials, classic-type cocktails, and what they call "happy meals" - a beer and shot combination. Don't fear, though, they still have Budweiser, Bud Lite, Miller High Life, and other draft beers for those feeling more traditional Upper Valley. We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards that featured local selections of cheese and meats, olives, pickled vegetables, cured mustards, and a baguette. A great selection but like most of Wolf Tree, a little on the expensive side. Overall I enjoyed my first trip to Wolf Tree and I'm glad hip places like this exist in the Upper Valley.

TLDR: great drinks for the area, but no air conditioning so keep that in mind!…read more On a visit to Dartmouth, I had the chance to stop by this bar. The interior and the cocktail menu reminded me of the cocktail bars that I frequent in NYC. It's quite cute, dimly lit. I think it's a great place for a date. I enjoyed the Night Vision. It's a rum based drink with carrot, ginger and pineapple juices as well as sesame. My friends got the Knife Fight which was a bourbon based drink with lemon ginger pineapple. Tasted like a gingery whiskey sour. If I'm in town again I'll stop by and try something else. Not sure if this is normal or if their AC was broken but it was super hot inside.
