Southwest chicken salad

Drinks were great. Chips hot and fresh. Service great. Left whiskey bar next door- rude and smelly and landed here. So great.

Chimichangas (vegetarian)

Came here for dinner with my cousin and his family. The decor and ambiance looks pretty cool. I can see why people want to come here during the summer time as the outdoor patio is also quite dope. Unfortunately, while the service was quite good and fast, there were just a few technical mistakes and such that drop the rating of this place from a 4 to a 3. Here's the breakdown: 1) First, I'll start with this, the table-side guac was really really good. Also, the habanero salsa had a kick which I truly appreciated too. 2) The veggie molotes were also pretty solid too. 3) The cucumber jalapeño margarita was also pretty good. As well as the Elderflower margarita. Sadly, the coconut mojito was just way too sweet than it needed to be. My cousin had asked to reorder another mojito, but it was also too sweet as well. 4) My cousin asked to order just bean and cheese tacos for his daughter. Unfortunately, they also messed that one up so we had to also reorder. 5) I ordered the chimichangas, but made vegetarian. I think it was good, but the cheese sauce was just a bit too much and the portion size was far too huge with the beans and rice so I could barely finish. 6) Same issue with the Chile Rellenos my girl ordered. Just a lot of the cheese sauce. I think we were better off splitting one meal, but I call that a suburban rookie mistake. Would love to give this place 4 stars, but I need the mistakes to get cleaned up a little bit.

I am transplant here in Allentown for about 4 years now, this is the only consistent place in this town, seriously.

Chicken fajitas with rice and beans and tortillas for HH superb and tasty
Noe C.

Wonderful server Aaron, greeted us and gave us food and beverage recommendations. Omg where to start, our mojitos and margaritas were so tasty. Complimentary chips and salsa, as we ordered Queso fundido. Nachos, tacos and fajitas were so good. So filling and great happy hour experience. The rest of the food looks so good too. Ambiance was relaxed and open space made us feel so comfortable with our party for dinner. Def come by and visit if in the area

Southwest Southwest Chicken Salad

I placed an order for pick up because I was staying at an hotel across the street. I was greeted by a very nice lady when I arrived. I wished I had sat down to eat because I enjoyed the atmosphere. My food was ready sooner than expected. The food was delicious well seasoned and fresh. The Chicken Tortilla soup was amazing. The Southwest salad was so packed with chicken I have plenty for lunch tomorrow. All the veggie were fresh and crisp. Next time I am in Allentown I will go back to eat in-house.

Tacos de Carne Asada with flour tortilla instead of corn.

Kate, the bt/server was fantastic. The atmosphere is pretty cool, too. They have a 10 seat bar, a pretty good selection of tequila, but NO premium top shelf stuff like Clas Azul or Forteleza. I ordered the Tacos de Carne Asada w/ flour tortillas. The bt was so helpful and genuinely friendly. Anyone who is knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly gets a 40% tip. I don't even care if they make a mistake - everybody does. The tacos de Carne Asado (tacos served with steak) were really good. One thing I hate about MOST Mexican restaurants is that they serve the cheap meat. I think this was 5 day old Flank Steak that was precooked then reheated. But the thing is with Mexican food is you just drown it with the best hot sauce ever, Pineapple Hot Sauce - DO NOT forget to ASK for it! It is the shiznit! The bathrooms are super clean! BIG plus! The staff really knows what they are doing. The ONLY negative i say is that the GM. Other than that...... This place is great! Make sure you get Kate as your bt/server. She is awesome! And tip well bc hospitality workers get paid little per hour. Thank you. My humblest regards k.david

Quality was on point and the prices were really reasonable. Staff was working hard, but still really friendly and efficient. Definitely a must try! Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

We got a flight to try out different beers which we thought was very affordable. We got wings to share (flavors were bang bang and Nashville hot) and it does come with celery and blue cheese or ranch. The wings are relatively large and bigger compared to places like wing stop or Buffalo Wild Wings. We personally didn't love the flavors we got as we weren't expecting the Nashville hot to be a dry rub. The bang bang was a good mix of sweet and creamy but we're not sure we would get it again. Other than the flavors, we would say the wings were cooked well. They were crispy but still moist. One thing to not miss out on are the boardwalk fries. We unexpectedly really enjoyed them. We're not typically thick cut fries people but these were done just right. They were super crisp but still nice and soft! Lastly, the burger was a UNIT. Super big, moist, and the combination of all the fresh vegetable toppings with their special sauce was delicious. The homemade chips were the perfect addition. Nice and crispy although the seasoning was a little sporadic. Highly recommend checking out this place for some casual American food that's affordable.

I'm glad that I did as I got to meet two girls who I ultimately ended up sharing conversations with. As well as one of the girls bought us all shots. I realized during my time out in Pennsylvania I greatly appreciated the cost of drinks. It was such a nice change, especially coming from California. I ultimately got two Jack and cokes my total for both were for $15. It was also nice to see that if you paid in cash, it would be slightly cheaper which is what I ended up doing.

The aged steaks are well prepared, and the 500-degree plate presentation does what it is designed to do. The sizzling plate may impress first-timers, but it is straight from the national chain playbook and no longer feels special. It preserves heat, not originality. Sides are à la carte and priced aggressively for what are essentially standard steakhouse accompaniments. They are fine. They are not memorable. At this price point, diners reasonably expect at least one dish that shows some imagination. The wine list is the biggest disappointment. It reads like a Pennsylvania "Chairman's Selection" circular rather than a curated cellar. Safe, widely available bottles dominate, with little depth or personality. For a restaurant positioning itself as an upscale destination, that lack of curation is hard to ignore. Service was professional and the dining room attractive. If you want a reliable local steakhouse and do not mind paying for it, Three Oaks will meet expectations. If you are looking for distinction or a reason to return beyond convenience, you may find it difficult to justify the bill.

The biggest struggle was saving a little to bring home for my son to try. We loved it. Thanks again.

That's what got me (& my wife) in the door. Now, for the brass tacks: Atmosphere: Very nice looking place. Clean. Lively. Loved the front window open on a warm day and the outdoor seating as we walked in. Service: Hostess and Server were both very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both checked in on us, often. Which, for us, is super important not to feel forgotten. No problem here. Food: Uncorkd Burger (sub grilled chicken), Vegetable Risotto w/Salmon, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Homemade Vanilla Bread Pudding Cake & Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. My wife said, convincingly, that the Grilled Chicken Burger was good. (and that's saying something. (She's super picky about chicken sandwiches) My Vegetable Salmon Risotto was terrific. Fresh, bright, creamy, & flavorful. The salmon may have been cooked slightly over, but only slightly. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were very good. Not made in-house. The desserts were delicious. Bread pudding with Caramel Drizzle! Oh my! Light & Delicious. Stick Toffee Pudding Cake with a decadent dark chocolate sauce. Delightful. We took those desserts to go and had them at home. Delicious. Terrific experience, tonight. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly would recommend. 4.2
