    Carne Asada
    Sabrina P.

The Silver Spring location opened this week. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos, Chips & Salsa, and a frozen Sangria. Inside: The concept is great. The location has a row of barstools as a seating option, food is ordered as the kiosk, and the counter is mainly a bar. I wouldn't consider this a full restaurant but a cool place for a drink and street style tacos. Also, the kiosk and menu is very detailed so I had no trouble picking something to order. A text message is sent to you when your food is ready. Food: Carne Asada was extremely flavorful. You can also tell the sauces are freshly made. Definitely a 10/10. The chips weren't too salty and again the salsa was fresh. The sangria wasn't watered down as be overall a good sangria.

Great news spot in downtown silver spring. Fast casual and easy to order. They have alcohol (beers and cocktails). Would be cool if they had a happy hour or a way to get people there after work. When it warms up it'd be nice to have some outside seating as well. Birria Tacos and Burrito was great. Looking forward to trying some other items. It's next to Bank of America (which will be shutting down soon).

Construction workers at 12:30am on a school night, keeping up Tacos Way' neighbors with power tools.

Want to hear power tools at 12:30am Tuesday morning on a residential block? And then again at 12:30am the following week? Or maybe you want your TV show to be interrupted by power tools at 10:30pm at night? Tacos Way in downtown Silver Spring has you covered! Nothing, not county regulations about construction or noise, not an inperson complaint to the manager or an email to the business will get in the way of Tacos Way providing after midnight / late night power tool concerts. Whether your goal is to have your TV show interrupted by power tools, or be able to stay up all night, Tacos Way is there to help.

This was very surprisingly amazing! The service was great, and this possibly was the best quesadilla I have ever had! They do close a tad early, but I'm certain it's for good reason. There's not much else to say this place comes highly recommended from me over the other mexican places I've. Do your taste buds a favor and bless them with Jose and Asada!

The office is close to this location and we love ordering from here. The crispy beef tacos are a favorite and both the shrimp tacos and shrimp quesadillas are delicious. Staff are friendly, engaging and professional. Highly recommend.

The tacos had generous portions but why did they use American cheese? If I wanted American I would go to an American restaurant

I would describe them as a combination of classic and elevated Latin food. The vibe of the restaurant is very casual, but the presentation of many of the dishes takes it to another level. They also have a wide selection of beer and wine. I have had tacos, octopus, breakfast tacos, and tamales. Everything was flavorful and quite tasty. I will admit service was a little slow the last time I went, but given the weather and the fact that we weren't in a rush it wasn't a big deal. If you haven't been yet, you should go. The colorful presentation reminds me of Palette 22, and rumor has it they are expanding to the Ethiopian restaurant that closed next door. I hope that's true!

Could work on those fried plantains as they were a little soggy. The quinoa salad was good, a bigger portion would have been nice for the price paid and maybe if it would be easier to eat if served in a bowl. The chorizo sandwich was okay. Presentation and bread could be better. We left curious about their regular menu so we may give it a try some other time. Their staff were nice but not very knowledgeable about their menu items. They didn't really know how to answer my question about their vegan tres leches and told me it was not actually vegan after indicating it had condensed milk and heavy cream.

Dining with kids can be challenging, so it's always nice when restaurants and staff are accommodating. The staff at Sabor Mixteca went above and beyond that. They were super fast with their service, but also showed warmth and kindness the entire time that made the meal delightful. The decor in the restaurant is vibrant and fun. They also had a clean, well-kept bathroom. The food was great. Everything came out in a timely manner and was excellently flavored and balanced. You could tell that this wasn't just like your run-of-the-mill taco joint. The flavors had a depth (especially the guisado) that brought things up a notch. But, like I was saying - although the food was great and memorable, I was really appreciative of how awesome the staff was and would love visiting again if we're in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Everything else was delicious. My shrimp tacos were full and had great flavor. They fell apart while eating them, maybe if they had less sauce or the tortilla was grilled a little more it would have held up but they were so good I didn't even mind it. Our kids and my partner loved all of their food as well.

Every component is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. I did really want to try their breakfast burrito and was sad (& surprised) they aren't open for breakfast on Mondays, because online it says they are. Anyways, we got there right when they opened for dinner and others clearly had the same idea. You order inside at the counter, sit and they bring you your food. Our food did take awhile to come out though, and we were giving the tables around us side eye for getting their food before us. We devoured our chips and salsa in the meantime. All 3 salsas are amazing and worth getting! They went great on the burrito too. Matcha horchata and Arnold Palmer were refreshing, and I appreciate the more inventive drinks than your standard taqueria. And now onto the main event... THE California burrito. Man, it made me happy to be alive. We sat on the patio and it was lovely, and shaded by the umbrellas.

Just because it's free doesn't mean it has to be v8 with some onions and cilantro mixed in. Definitely a miss. Black bean burrito: get that hot sauce, you are gonna need it solely for flavor. The ranchera sauce s is tasted suspiciously like ole El Paso enchilada sauce from tin. A miss for me on its own, passable if you add the hot sauce. Chicken tacos: "good". Not great. Tortillas not warmed up properly. That hot sauce they give you comes in super useful just to get some flavor because on its own it just isn't doing much. He ate them all but that was hunger more than enjoyment. Again a miss without the sauce. Mango and strawberry mojito: actually good! Nice flavor, not too much sugary mix. A hit! Something to note: They have this roving band of musicians that go around to tables and play music. Instruments and all. If that's your thing then maybe that's a reason to stop by for a drink but if it's not for you then at least you are aware. Nothing I would come back for. 3/5 but more like 2.5/5.
