We were staying at the Club Regina resort and decided to see what we could find on Uber Eats. As soon as we spotted Tacos Rigo, I knew we'd found something special. It was delicious, affordable and arrived in about 40 minutes. I got the al pastor and WOW, it was incredibly flavorful. The nopales, onions and refried beans were a perfect complement to the meat and their salsas are the truth. They're full of flavor and some have enough spice to put hair on your chest! This is an amazing option if you're tired of the resort food and want something GOOD. We'll definitely be ordering from here again before our trip is over. read more

Wow... fire. I stayed in an all inclusive but I was on the hunt for some fire tacos. This is in the hotel zone too and walkable from all the shops and party places. I recommend the street tacos. I wanted more, but needed to save my tummy for dinner. Of course, I had to get a Michelada. They have seating indoors and outdoors and a separate wash area for your hands. Y'all please get the tripe tacos. Probably the best tripe tacos I've ever had!!! Al pastor was solid and I loved how some pieces were crunchy. The suadaro taco I could live without. We went here for my last night in Cancun, it was alright but nothing special in my opinion. I tried the pastor burrito & it was fine, but honestly lacked flavor. The price was okay but not great either. All their seating was cheap plastic chairs, but at least they had outdoor seating. Service was fine too, but overall the place was mediocre. For the quesadilla meal, a margarita and a side of rice it was about $15usd. They were out of a couple things we wanted such as french fries, horchata, lemonade, steak but we still stayed and enjoyed ourselves. After the food was delivered no one ever came back to check on us. We had to ask for the bill. There were also several street vendors who approached us asking us for $ or to buy their bracelets/wallets etc which is common. Overall enjoyed my meal. In reality....that is the only thing you can realistically gauge the quality on...its nearly impossible to improve or destroy chicken. For what you get for the price....5 stars. I'm a bit torn on this review so I'll do it in two parts. The food was quite good. We had some very fresh guacamole to start and I had three tacos - pastor, beef cheek and beef tongue. All very delicious. Sherry had a very large chicken burrito with rice and a bit of guacamole. She said it was very tasty too. The place was all al fresco and it was pretty busy when we got there at 8:30. My only issue is that they put on a tip in the bill. I questioned the waiter if this was the tip and he said no, it was a tip for the kitchen and not for the waiter. I didn't believe it and I pressed him on it. As far as tacos in Cancun go, Tacos Rigo is fairly lackluster. The convenience factors of being located in the Hotel Zone and staying open late are offset by the slow service and the so-so quality. We had far better tacos in Playa del Carmen and Tulum in terms of authenticity and flavor. In general, you want to look for places that have pastor roasting outside in a visible fire. That's usually a positive sign. Furthermore, do check if locals are also eating there. read more

I wanted to give this place 4 stars. The food was great! I had the chop quesadillas which were filled with meat and delicious. I was planning on coming here again until we were chased down. The bill included a suggested tip of 20%. I left a 15% tip. We were walking across the courtyard when the server came running after us and said we did not pay the full amount. He kept his finger over the line that said total and showed us the adjusted total with the suggested gratuity. I told him that we left him a tip and that said suggested and was not part of the bill. He said it was not for him but for the kitchen. To be clear it was the difference of less than $1USD. If their prices do not cover the salaries of their kitchen staff then they should increase their prices instead of relying on customers not fully reading their checks. read more
