I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension. All the sauces were great and none were too spicy. I might have to return to this place sooner rather than later because I really did think about it the rest of the day. I love you, La Cocina.

The Taco Real Deal…read more Yup, this is place is consistently awesome. Stopped by today for breakfast with my son. I meant to take pictures, but the tacos were so good that I got a little excited and forgot to take a snap. The tacos are made to order in an assembly line fashion. The tortillas are home made and my 10 year old son is demanding more even after devouring two bacon, egg and cheese tacos. I would describe the place as chique taqueria. It's both modern with a hint of traditional culinary roots -- and it just works. I need to add this place back into my regular rotation!

I asked a ton of questions about what everything was in the food line. My only disappointment was there wasn't more chicken options but everything I got was good. The shredded beef in the salsa was very good. It was my favorite. I only made the mistake getting flour tortillas so my tortilla was soggy. So I'm pretty sure it tastes better on corn. I'm definitely getting corn next time. I also got the Chile Relleno. It was good sized and tasty, but not the best one I've ever had. You can choose between queso or with meat. The salsa bar has at least six different salsa to choose from which was cool and they have a variety of sodas and of course, a Mexican soda, which always goes well with tacos. I would definitely come back if not for breakfast definitely for lunch. You can tell this is a go to spot because there was many local business employees their getting lunch.

Great Price, Tasty Tacos! Came here with my boyfriend to…read moresatisfy our late night taco cravings, and this place really hit the spot. What I love is how they loaded up their tacos with cheese, onions, and AVOCADO. Yes, FREE AVOCADO. Already getting free cheese is rare, but getting free avocado in this economy is mind blowing generosity! - Pastor taco (4/5): The texture of this taco was top tier. SUPER CRISPY pastor bits through out, giving each bite a nice crunch. The tortilla also was charred nicely and the taco was a good size. - Beef taco (4.5/5): The beef had more flavor than the pastor, and was juicy. A very solid taco. - Beef Quesadilla Grande (3.5/5): Pretty big quesadilla for only $7. The cheese was really good and the tortilla had a nice chew to it. I just personally thought it was too salty. Service/ambiance: They have a cute seating area with shading and string lights, so you could definitely eat and chill there.

The lady at the window was so polite and provided top tier service. The tables were wet and she cleaned them off for us. They provide a decent size seating area for waiting or eating. Decent enough that we sat and ate. The food was hot and fresh. We got 10 tacos for 3 of us. I tapped out after 2. All tacos came with onion, cilantro and avocado. I asked for cheese on 2 afraid it would cost too much for all and she gave all of them cheese. A wins a win right. I'll be back!!!

I ordered the asada burrito con todo (cheese, beans, onions, cilantro, salsa, and guacamole. I got the guac on the side). The asada was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was balanced and packed with flavor. Nothing was dry or bland. I also got an asada taco con todo (salsa, onions, cilantro, guacamole (and of course I added cheese ). Simple ingredients, but when it's done right like this, you really don't need much else. The meat truly speaks for itself. What really stood out to me was that this tasted like true Tijuana-style flavor, not heavy Tex-Mex. You can absolutely taste the difference. Customer service was great. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the ordering process smooth. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which I always appreciate. It made the overall experience even better. If you're looking for authentic, well-seasoned tacos and burritos in a clean, welcoming environment, this is definitely a spot to check out. I'll absolutely be back.

I would have gotten the corn (elote) also but they didn't have it that day. I did get a side of taco rice. The burrito was plenty in itself--a large, neatly wrapped package of beef, shrimp and chicken goodness. It also had rice and cheese. The shrimp were popcorn shrimp but were cooked nicely--hard to do with the little ones. The beef was a bit chewy but tasted great and ate well when mixed in with everything else. You could easily divide it three ways. The burrito came with three salsas--a traditional red, an orange sauce that mixed ranch with a little chili, and a creamy green avocado sauce. The green sauce had the most kick, it brought the heat well. The orange sauce was mild but the flavor went really well with the burrito. The red was in the middle and more liquid. The rice was fine. I also would have ordered an agua fresca, but they don't carry those. They do have Mexican soda. Service was fine. A good choice if you're nearby. It is on the My Family Vet lot but don't use that entrance--look for their flags on the next entrance north.
