All good things come to an end. Did not know it was under new ownership, I called in to place an order as I've been doing ever since I can remember when I get there about 20 minutes and order is not ready. They tell me it's going to be right away so I sit down and wait. I got into the soccer game that I completely forgot about the order when I go back to inquire about my order the lady looks confused and tells the owner that my order has been given away, which was another 20 minutes waiting so a total of 40 minutes waiting on one torta as I was waiting, a customer walks in saying that they got the wrong order. Don't know how you can mess that up with not that many people in there. It is true what they say you never get a second chance to make a first impression and my impression of them while waiting for my food to never be made was not a good one. This whole staff looked lost and before it was a two person show, the guy I presume to be the new owner did not care didn't offer an apology for my food never been made and all this time wasted on waiting this was my go to spot every time I wanted something quick and tasty. I guess I have to find a new spot after 30+ years of coming to this place they should really think about changing the name of this place because the new owners are making the name look bad after being good for so many years. sorry I cannot post about the food how it was but never got a chance to do so but but my sister ordered a doorstop from there and it's not the same and the prices are ridiculously high. Tacos Locos should have just closed down as per the notice that was posted on the door. read more

Was excited to try this spot but hours on yelp are not updated. I went to this spot on a quick break to see a closed sign at 8:45am and confirmed with no pick up when I called their phone number listed. Would've been down to try it if hours were updated. read more

Yeah, solid 4 stars. I'd driven past this place for years and wondered if it was any good. We finally popped in today and were pleasantly surprised. There's a pretty wide menu with pictures posted (no written menus) and the choice for tacos are on a sheet of paper taped to the counter. This is a real family-owned business, and they answer the phone in Spanish, so be forewarned. We ordered asada, al pastor, and carnitas tacos and they were all quite good. They're the 3 or so inch "street tacos" but they're generous with the fillings. The red salsa has a nice kick to it, too. At two bucks a pop as of this writing they're a real bargain. They throw in a handful of chips and plenty of limes in with each order, a nice touch. There is only one small table for two inside and counter seating all around, so I suspect they do mostly takeout business. The chips are pretty ordinary, but I can't really complain since most places like this either don't give you chips or you have to pay for them. As others have mentioned, parking can be a real hassle, but if you're a local it's worth checking them out. The service is attentive and friendly, too. read more

Tacos Locos - Asada, carnitas, and al pastor tacos. Red & green salsa on the side. - Mexican Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I used to be a regular here and came in today and they told me it's a new owner. This place used to serve the BEST Mexican food. I would always go in and get a carnitas torta and a quesadilla for my bf. Today I came in and ordered my usual and the price... $16 DOLLARS MORE. I understand inflation but that's crazy. On top of that the food quality has gone down over night. The salsa is WATERED down and the carnitas are all fat and chewy. On top of that the girl taking my order looked annoyed to be there and even after telling her what I wanted on my torta 3 times they still messed up. RIP to a great restaurant. I was a regular and will not be returning. read more

This mom and pop shop is solid! I'd be low key embarrassed by how much I eat here....but I'm not because they treat me like family AND my Spanish is getting better lol! The food is delicious, good size potions and a great value. Super random, but I also really appreciate that even though they are a small business they don't use styrofoam containers. read more

The his place is just OK. I came in for some tacos, I ordered two carne asada tacos and a coke. My total was less than $6. The meat was a bit dry for my liking, I do like that they include some chips and salsa with your tacos. Not sure if I'll be back but this wouldn't be my first option for tacos. Customer service was great read more

I been coming here religiously for 10+ years so i can be a bit biased but this is my go to mexican spot!! their aguas frescas are on point not too sugary not too sweet just right, their salsas are spicy especially the red sauce it's a little too addicting, for food i always order a carne asada torta with everything but i always switch up with the quesadilla... yes a quesadilla it's so good here because they marinate the meat so well. I either get chicken or carne asada... besides that the huevos rancheros are really good here they come with beans, rice, chile, and tortillas but i save them the trouble and ask for no tortillas... to say the least i always get a side of tacos or nachos with carne asada no beans thank me later read more

5 stars for flavor and amount of meat they pack into their tacos. But I had to take 1 star off for the extra 10 bucks added on to the bill. I understand restaurants have to make up for Covid and inflation, but damn, let a brotha know you tackin' on extras to get through the times, my pockets are hurtin' too LOL! So, expect good and plenty with the tacos, but expect that "Covid 10" dollas tax to kick in on ya bill ; ). read more

They have stepped up their game. Wow the burrito i had was perfectly balanced with the minimal amount or rice to give it texture, just the right amount of cilantro and onion to make it fresh tasting, and packed on the carne asada and lengua to make it juicy, meaty and satisfying. And so many additional items to enjoy with my burrito! Salsa roja, salsa verde, avocada salsa, chips, lime AND lemon, and the pickled jalapeno onion and carrot. BOMB! read more

Meh I could have done a better job at home. Only good thing about my tostada was it was freshly fried and not prepackaged. But lettuce chopped all big made it messy to eat, chicken that was not well flavored and no sauce, just literally shredded bland fried chicken, spread of beans, cheese and onion. And it was kind of gentrified priced : $4.50 for one and I'm still hungry. For the area and because it's a hole in the wall i was expecting more. Thumbs down, wont return. Don't recommended. Plenty of other better places. Like my own damn kitchen. read more
