The place had a very family-friendly atmosphere, with several dining there throughout the time we did. Local construction guys were hanging out there too so it's got the seeming endorsement of the blue collar local crowd. (Which is always a good sign). Overall, the food was excellent and the host was a super nice guy. Worth the money for great Mexican food. And they'll sing happy birthday if you want to embarrass somebody

Don't you…read more The steak was like shoe leather (dried, tough to cut and separate);, the scrambled eggs were pressed into a patty of dried, crispy, and some burnt edges, the tortillas were pieces of such cut and covered in a sauce that was tasteless, and finally the side of onion, cheese, and sour cream was minuscule at best. The plate presentation was horrible looking also. The best thing about the meal was the chips and salsa. Won't be ever ordering that again!.

They have a great bar selection and many draft beers on tap, so there is sure to be something that you will find that will appease your taste. I looked at the menu for way too long as everything on the menu looks so good. Ironically enough, I settled for the chicken tenders and subbed for sweet potato fries. It was INCREDIBLE! I loved the homemade dressings and the hand breaded tenders. It was definitely not frozen food... it was GOOD! I think it has a fun ambiance inside and they had karaoke on Saturday night, but appreciated that it was not too loud to interrupt dinner service.

What an amazing experience at C&J Cafe!…read more This is exactly what you hope to find in a small-town restaurant--a place where people genuinely take pride in what they do. The restaurant was immaculately clean, my drink was never empty, and my waitress was informative, funny, friendly, and simply great at her job. And the food was beyond great! But for me, this visit was about much more than just a good meal. I used to come here more than 30 years ago with my sister. She and my brother-in-law are both gone now, and I wanted to come back and revisit a place that held some wonderful memories for me. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, and to my surprise, he remembered my sister and brother-in-law. He shared some wonderful things about them, and that made walking through the door worth more to me than I can really put into words. I'm extremely glad I stopped. They serve great traditional American food as well as absolutely amazing Mexican food. The service, cleanliness, food, and genuine small-town hospitality made this a very special experience. If you're passing through Delta, Colorado, I highly, highly recommend stopping at C&J Cafe. There is parking out front and plenty of additional parking in the back. Some restaurants give you a great meal. Every once in a while, you find one that gives you a great meal and brings back a few wonderful memories at the same time. C&J Cafe did exactly that for me. Absolutely worth the stop!
