Their beans are obviously straight out of a can, their rice is flavored with chicken broth (and nothing else, as far as I can tell). I ordered a chorizo, egg and cheese burrito with rice and beans. The entire contents of the burrito were exactly the same shade of dark red (food coloring?). It upset my stomach (Red food dye will do that in high doses) If you know Mexican food, you know the beans aren't supposed to be dark brown and clumpy. And there's no mistaking the "canned" taste. The people who work there are very nice and the service was fast. It seems like a nice place to, but after eating there twice (I got different things both times) I'm ready to say I will not be going back. Very disappointed after all the good words from my coworkers.

We stopped by on our way back to Grand Mesa from a day in Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Curecanti National Recreation Area. We were quite thrilled to see there were several vegan options on their rather extensive menu. We opted for the mushroom, black bean and corn tacos with a side of refried beans. The ingredients were fresh and absolutely delicious! Other items on the menu looked delicious as well, ranging from comfort food such as chicken fried steak to ribeyes to a southwest steak salad or roasted beet salad. (Marinated tofu could be substituted for meat.) Brandon, our server, was wonderful, and being a fellow vegan, he had great recommendations. And to top it off, the owner had a box of vegetable from his overflowing garden free for the taking! This restaurant is a fabulous little gem for any community, much less such a small town and it easily meets the dietary needs of all clientele. (They even have gluten free buns for their burgers.) The tea was really good and strong. Service was good and we didn't wait very long for our food. The added a 2% fee for splitting the bill two ways. Solid choice.
