Not that there are other dining options in this town of 70-80 year round residents :) We were in Marble on the weekend of their "Marble Fest", a multi-day music festival. Friday night we were so so hungry after a Jeep tour up to the Crystal Mill. The tour guides highly recommended Slow Groovin', and even told us what things to order. They did not lead us astray. The restaurant was SLAMMED. Hundreds of people were there for dinner and live music (a kick off to the festival). We had a large group of 9, but they got us seated inside within a few minutes. The food was ridiculous and priced super fairly. Good beer and full-bar menu as well. Fried okra was great. Mac-n-cheese was delicious and "yuge". Fries were house made and topnotch. The Manic Mayor Sandwich, had burnt ends and potato salad on Texas toast... DANG! Only thing that could have been better: the inside of the restaurant was ungodly hot. If they had roll up doors or windows that opened it would have been perfect. Don't miss out! Make Slow Groovin' BBQ a destination.

The perfect place to kick back with some good food and fresh mountain air. I ordered the brisket platter, and it did not disappoint. The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. Everything is smoked in house and served with house made sides--I had the tangy coleslaw and hearty baked beans, both solid. I started with the fried okra, which came out in a massive portion, piping hot and incredibly crispy. Totally addictive, especially dipped in their delicious homemade ranch. To drink, I had a spicy Paloma and enjoyed everything out on their patio. Between the food, the setting, and the vibe, this place is well worth the drive. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Marble.

Holy moly melted matzo balls, these folks are on point…read more I have bartended and served at many weddings spanning the better part of a decade. As an employee of the Harvard Club in Boston (yeah the club is in Boston not Cambridge- weird I know) and Guastavino's in Manhattan, I've learned that 90% or more of what wedding guests are served is commercially prepared frozen food. Backcountry Catering proved to me there's a better way. Last week I got the chance to meet the proprietors of Backcountry Catering, Stef and Jeff, at their commercial kitchen in Norwood and prep for a party of 200 guests. Sure mashing potatoes isn't a glamorous job, but watching these masters at work was a sight to behold. What stood out to me the most was witnessing them painstakingly prep everything from chives to grilling the mains for days on end. While their own wedding is just weeks away they treated this event as if it was their own; putting their own needs on the back burner. When we finally did break for dinner at 9:30 pm, my taste buds were treated to ravioli served with a sage brown butter sauce that was to die for. Each station is held to a higher standard in the kitchen than I have ever witnessed in any commercial kitchen. Germaphobes rejoice, they are as particular as you! Their mobile kitchen is awe-inspiring- including a wood-fired Chicago brick pizza oven, an Ole Hickory CTO smoker, two commercial deep fryers, a 36-inch flat top griddle, a 24-inch charbroiler, a 6 burner stove and oven, and a customizable 50-inch full digital display. As a perpetually hungry person, I've seen a lot of food trucks and mobile kitchens over the years- none of them hold a candle to this bad boy. Chef Jeff has also won the title of Telluride's Top Chef four years in a row. I think it's safe to say you need to look no further than Backcountry catering for your next event.

Like the many reviews state, this food truck is located at Mesa Mall right in front of the Dicks Sporting Good. I mean once youre at Mesa Mall and you're panicking you can't find it, just give it the mall a good ole round-a-bout you'll find it trust. Enough about logistics and my biscuit history, lets talk Alarado. The biscuits. Whatever you get, you have to try it with the biscuit. Personally went with the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich with pepper jack and the BISCUIT ofc. There's something surreal about eating a delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich at 7:00 am in the morning when its raining outside. I'm surprised I even got a photo of it before demolishing it. Now underrated co-start is the breakfast burrito. Because my back is big, I also got a chorizo breakfast burrito with green chili. Goodness gracious, that one also was a banger seriously. Biscuit sandwich or burritos are definitely the move I'd say here. Go get your biscuit on.
