Best Mexican food I have ever had. Rellenos are one of a kind, others don't even come close. We have been going there for over 16 years now and have never had a bad meal or left hungry. The veflggie burrito was a terrific surprise...fulilled with perfectly seasoned broccoli, green beans, while beans, celery, onion rice...even water chestnuts. Sounds crazy...but this was great The salsa was spicy and had fresh cilantro. My husband's Modelo was served rimmed with salt and a lime. In the mile and a half long stretch of Main St. in Delta, Colorado, exist three locally owned, family-style Mexican restaurants. With a population hovering near 8,500, I'm not exactly sure how they all manage to maintain operations, but I'll leave that for another conversation. Fiesta Vallarta is arguably the most patronized of the three, maybe because it's the longest standing, but it very well could be that the food is quite good, the service is excellent, and the environment lends itself more to cozy, intimate gatherings than it does to hosting parties after a softball game. Like most Mexican establishments in the area, Fiesta is always clean, making it my preferred south-of-the-boarder diner in Delta. read more

An unexpected and pleasant surprise on our trip to Delta. We had to park a little ways a way and we were lucky that one of the few tables were available. Mexican food in the Grand Junction area is very bland, today we stopped at Fiesta Vallarta in Delta and glad we did! Service was fast, prices were great and the food actually had some nice spicy flavor for a change. They got the basics right, rice and beans were great and the main items were spot on tasty. Extended stay in Montrose and please see my review of El Jimador in Montrose. We decided we were in the mood for Mexican food again and knew we should look elsewhere on a Sunday. Thanks to yelpers we found Fiesta Vallarta in Delta and went for a short ride.... OK longer than necessary due to road construction but do-able. The salsa is fantastic and fresh. Best Mexican food in Delta, Montrose, or Grand Junction. All around excellent food and value! Family owned & operated, not a chain. One partner is head cook and other is head waiter. I've never had anything bad here. My favorite things to order are the carne asada or a combination of enchilada with red sauce, chile relleno with green sauce, and taco. You can order all three Ala carte for less than $10 total, but their beans and rice are very good. The chile colorado is also excellent. My daughter loves their siete mares and fish. It's the only Mexican restaurant in Delta, Montrose, and Grand Junction with good salsa, and if you prefer it hotter, they'll bring you an excellent and very hot salsa; and the guacamole is also very good and reasonably priced. The margaritas are also excellent. Also one of the few places where you can get a good breakfast, and I love that they're open all day, every day. read more
