the Regular burrito was way better than i expected!…read more for road trip food.... on a random stop---- id say this is a hidden gem. the spicey salsa complimented the steak burrito quite well. that "out in the middle of no where" vibe kind of hits you and it almost felt like this place was a mirage with awesome burritos--- and a nice clean bathroom to use.

We recently visited La Plazita Taqueria in Madison. The restaurant itself was cute and inviting,…read morebut the first thing we noticed when walking in was a strong smell of cleaning supplies/bleach throughout the dining area. We ordered the chile relleno plate. The chile relleno itself was flavorful and probably the highlight of the meal, but the beans were disappointing. They lacked flavor, and the appearance wasn't very appetizing. Based on other reviews, we wanted to try the carnitas on the side, but were told there would be about a 1.5-hour wait. We also attempted to order a breakfast burrito and were told that if we "really wanted it," they would make it. That response felt a little odd and made us unsure whether it was something they normally offered at that time. We also ordered an al pastor quesadilla. The meat was flavorful and enjoyable, but it only came with lettuce and tomato. There was no sour cream or guacamole included, which was surprising compared to what we're used to receiving with similar dishes elsewhere. The chips served were store-bought rather than house-made. Overall, there were a few good items, particularly the chile relleno and al pastor, but between the strong bleach smell, inconsistent menu experience, and sides that fell short, this wasn't a place that stood out enough for us to return.

Great lunch spot! My…read morefriends and I were in town for a bachelorette party and needed to fuel up before a full day of wine tasting. We did walk in with a party of 11, expecting a long wait since it was a Saturday afternoon but they were able to seat us within just a few minutes. The vibe of the restaurant is modern and lively. I like that the tables are spaced out enough so it didn't feel cramped. One thing I appreciated was how accommodating the restaurant was for different dietary preferences. Our group included meat eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians, and there was something for everyone. I ordered the grilled fish tacos with Spanish rice and refried beans. Since I'm allergic to shrimp, I let our server know, and he immediately made a note for the kitchen. I really appreciated the extra attention to food allergies. I liked that the fish was grilled instead of fried so the tacvos didn't feel heavy. It came topped with pico de gallo, shredded green and purple cabbage, cotija cheese and on the side they gave me pickled red onions and two lime wedges (dried out yikes!). The fish was perfectly cooked. It was flaky, buttery, and tender. I wouldn't change a thing about it. My only critique is that the tacos were dry overall. It needed a creamy sauce or even replace the shredded cabbage with a slaw. The Spanish rice was simple but still had good flavor. The refried beans were creamy, smooth, and topped with shredded white cheese. One helpful tip for anyone with dietary restrictions: the menu does NOT specify ingredients for some of the sides. We noticed the vegetarian plate came with whole beans instead of the refried beans served with the non-vegetarian dishes. Based on what was served, we deduced that the refried beans likely contain lard, even though it's not listed on the menu. That could be confusing for pescatarians or anyone ordering seafood who assumes the sides are meat-free. If you dine here and have dietary restrictions or food allergies, definitely clarify with your server about ingredients.

I'm rating this place solely on food…read more I ordered the burrito bowl and I'd rather have chipotle if that says anything. Dry chicken, over spicy guacamole and tons of onions. No flavor whatsoever!! If you are going to charge higher prices at least make it taste good. My husband order the Mango Mole- the sauce was flavored but the chicken was dry. The quality of the food does not match the ambiance.

We sat outside in the shade and it was really nice. It has a relaxed atmosphere and we were given chips and salsa. I ordered the Ensalada El Milagro and it was delicious! All of the ingredients were so fresh and complimented each other well! The staff working here were so friendly, kind, and attentive. I also love that three locals own this together so when you dine here you know you are supporting a locally owned restaurant. I've eaten at the Healdsburg location several times. This was the first time I've been to the Cloverdale location and we love both locations. Such amazing and flavorful food! Highly recommend!

We were seated in the large (dog-friendly) outdoor area near the entrance. I stuck with water, but my friends really liked the cocktails, including the Mango Margarita and Paloma. For food, I ordered the Enchiladas Special, which had chicken and salsa verde. This was just okay - the shredded chicken was pretty dry and served on the outside of the enchiladas, which I hadn't seen before. I also tried a bite of my friend's Carne Asada Quesadilla, which I liked more - still pretty standard though. The best item was the Guacamole with Esquites we ordered for the table - so fresh and tasty, and the corn kicked it up a notch. Service was friendly and fast!
