Delicious Mexican food in a strip mall just off Parker and Dayton. They offer fillings that are less common than most taco shops. We tried the barbacoa tacos as well as the chilanga sandwich with steak and Mexican sausage. It's like a torta but slightly different. Their quesadilla was really tasty and different as a home-made corn tortilla is used in lieu of the flour that most restaurants use. I had the chicharron prensado (bacon) which is something I don't see very often. It was smoky, slighly chewy and very good. The salsa bar is awesome with four types of salsa (one is a guacamole), cilantro, onions, limes, radish, spicy onion and jalapeno mix, pickled carrots and peppers, etc. Friendly staff. The interior is basic and kept very clean. Give Tacos DF a try for sure.

Tacos DF, it's been 36 hours, but we are still dreaming of you. We ate at House of Bread (in the same shopping center) right before we came, but we still wanted to squeeze in two tacos. We ordered the al pastor (pork) and la cabeza (head). Al Pastor: Marinated to perfection. It was so fresh that within my first bite I'm pretty sure I burnt my mouth w/ the oil. Worth it? Yes x1000. I topped mine off w/ the green salsa, radishes, cilantro, and lime from the self-serve bar. La Cabeza: I've never seen my husband's head tilt to a 175 degree angle before and his eyes closed so tightly while eating a taco. The end. Jk. In his words - "It is so fatty. So good. This is the best taco in my life." Check it out for yourselves! Chef's kiss.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I used to live down the street from this place and I never tried. Now I live 30+ minutes away and finally tried and I am upset because of all the times I should've been eating here. These tacos were crazy good.... The carnitas and cabeza were so flavorful and tender. The onions and cilantro bring it to a next level and the salsa is amazing!! I cannot wait to go back. I definitely would give both tacos a 10/10, I licked my plate clean AND I'll get four different tacos next time. I also got their carne asada burrito that was on the salty side but I still enjoyed it, but I'll definitely get it without cheese next time. Btw their carne asada is also amazing and nicely seasoned. Happy stomach :)))))

The DF stands for Dope as F*&#. These tacos are EVERYTHING! The barbacoa was the best I've had in years and the pot roast literally left me speechless for 5 minutes - which if you've met me, is a huge feat! The tortas are also amazing. And the salsas. And all of it. I simultaneously wish I had the ability to let everyone in Colorado know how amazing this place is while also making sure nobody else finds out. 10 stars, Yelp. GIVE ME MORE STARS!

Absolutely LOVE Tacos DF... one of the most legit taco shops I've been able to find in Denver. This place has it all... lengua, tripas... and even Cabeza! Being down the street from my work, it's almost impossible not to eat here every day!

    Menu as of Nov 2022

Tried this place on random after some Sunday grocery shopping. Oh my goodness, so glad we did. Amazing tacos. We got a good variety between the two of us to test the range of flavors and the variety of different meat options. This place is serving up some of the most authentic tasting street tacos in Denver. The salsas are perfection too!

The service throughout the evening was top-tier--attentive, sharp, and perfectly paced without feeling rushed. While the wine selection is somewhat modest, it covers the basics well enough to find a solid pairing for the food. The menu leans heavily into thoughtful, bold flavors, and every dish I tried hit the mark. Here is a breakdown of the meal: Tostada De Hamachi (Standout Dish): This was easily the highlight of the night. The combination of fresh Japanese hamachi, rich sikil pak, a kick of habanero mayonnaise, and bright naval oranges was absolute perfection. The balance of acidity, creaminess, and fresh fish was flawless. Callo De Hacha Al Horno: Baked Fall River scallops served with a bright serrano ponzu, rich tomato butter, and chives. The delicate sweetness of the scallops held up remarkably well against the savory richness of the tomato butter and the sharp punch of the ponzu. Ceviche De Atun: High-quality bluefin tuna paired with charred avocado, spicy salsa macha, coconut broth, and chive oil. The coconut broth added a velvety, aromatic contrast to the deep, smoky heat of the salsa macha. Pancita Pibil: Rich, succulent heritage pork belly prepared Yucatan style, served over a smooth black bean puree and topped with sharp red pickled onions. A deeply satisfying, hearty end to the lineup that brought a great balance of fat, acid, and earthiness. Alma Fonda Fina is firing on all cylinders. Between the seamless hospitality, the comfortable patio ambiance, and high-impact dishes like the hamachi tostada, it easily earns a glowing recommendation.

This place fills up 60 days in advance, without fail! When we arrived, we were able to get parking about a block away on the street. We were soon greeted and guided to our seats upon walking in. This is a very small restaurant - only a few tables, not many options for big groups, and some bar seating both inside and outside. I can see why the reservations are in such high demand! We were recommended to get 4-5 small plates, so we decided on the Guacamole Alma, Burrito de Frijoles Puerco, Apache en su Jugo, and Enmolada de Pato. We also shared the hibiscus margarita and Mex 75. The drinks came out first - the hibiscus margarita was so refreshing, light and delicious! We weren't as big fans of the Mex 75 - but if you like smoky drinks this is the one for you. The guacamole came out first - it was tangy and tasty. I will say that the other dishes were a lot more unique. The burrito was a standout - we absolutely loved the homemade sourdough tortilla, one of the best we've ever tasted. The chorizo filling was savory and tasty. The Apache en su Jugo was unique and had a lovely flavor - if you are a beef tartare fan this is a wonderful dish to try! The enmolado de pato came out last and we thoroughly enjoyed the mole and flavor. This is definitely worth checking out. I will say as a Houston native we have several restaurants with similar flavors and slightly lower price tags and wait times, so I am a bit spoiled in that regard. But all in all the service is wonderful, it's a pleasure to try so many different and unique dishes, and the joy of snagging a reservation is worth it!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too.
