They moved the store from NJ-17S to Bergen Town Center, but the store still looks amazing. The art work, murals and wall paints are still there. Benched are smaller. But the tacos are still so amazing. Staff members are very friendly at register and the ordered get served within minutes. We have been to the store multiple times in last couple of months. Love the chicken Al pastor, carne asada and pollo tacos that come with so many ingredients. We just discovered the chicken quesadilla is also top notch. Of course can't get enough of their street corn and the guacamole. I wish they add a bit more flavor the carne asada. I have signed up for the rewards account that gets me points for every dollar. Also found they have $100 gift cards for $80 at Costco. Bought a bunch, so we are dining with a 20% discount :D
THE GOOD ---------------- + The Mexican street food is excellent here! ++++ Tacos with Carne Asada, Al Pastor and Chorizo - All of the meats were fresh, delicious and jussssst the right amount to hit the spot. ++++ Mission Style Burrito with Pollo Asado - Fantastic burrito with lots of delicious seasoned rice, black beans, cheese and meat. The yellow seasoned rice is what realllly makes the burrito top notch. ++++ Mexican Street Corn - Phenomenal! Corn is roasted perfectly and smothered with their super tasty and addictive chipotle aioli, cilantro and cotija cheese. ++++ Guava & Basil Agua Fresca is soooooooo good. If you love guava, get it! + Interior of this location is pretty much just like other locations - spacious, clean and good amount of seats. Decor is also colorful and cool. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Dropped in on a random Friday afternoon at 12 PM and it was pretty busy for a weekday afternoon so can't imagine what the weekends are like, although a lot of customers get take out too.
My friend and I recently tried Tacoria and had a really great experience. We ordered the chicken nachos, a burrito bowl, and the guava basil juice -- everything was fresh and full of flavor. The nachos were piled high with toppings and the burrito bowl was super satisfying. What really stood out to us was the customer service. My friend has a gluten allergy and the staff took the time to explain their options and further explained that they have a dedicated gluten-free flyer. That honestly made us feel really comfortable eating there, knowing they take allergies seriously and that there's very little chance of cross contamination. Great food, great drinks, and thoughtful service. We'll definitely be coming back.
The Paramus Tacoria has been one of our go-to spots while it was housed at Crossroads. A few weeks ago, we grabbed dinner at the new location in Bergen Town Center for the first time. The big difference is it's way busier of the foot traffic from the mall, so getting a table (along with a parking spot) is harder. The eatery is smaller at BTC, but looks nice, new, and bright inside - though I will miss that giant Frieda Kahlo mural at the old space. But most importantly and what matters most is that the food at Tacoria hasn't changed and still hits the spot.
Good food, great friendly service, great music playing and the ambience is amazing. I was greeted by a very enthusiastic gentleman at the counter that took my order. The. After taking my drink I was served fairly quickly by another gentleman who also offered me my food with a friendly smile. The seating area is clean and inviting. The restrooms are also very clean and comfortable. This is a great place to get a quick meal for a reasonable price.
I will never give Tacoria my business again. Ordered pollo tinga nachos, no beans. I emphasized no beans because I don't like beans, and luckily I can't have them due to my GI issues. My fault for not double checking my order by opening the wrapping. All I read was the sticker on the food that said "pollo tinga". I get home and recieve steak with tons of black beans. -_- customer service is non existent. Update: 11/9- Reached out to Tacoria CS over IG who gave me a full refund. Also offered a gift card, but I declined because I don't want to go back.
Still a regular because the food is consistently good and prices are reasonable. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Different length tables allow you to choose the seating to meet your needs. Casual and convenient. I am so happy they have expanded their locations! Stop in if you haven't already! Service is quick!
We love a good taco spot. We have frequented the Montclair Tacoria location, and are huge fans, so this Paramus location did not disappoint. As expected, cool industrial decor, spacious seating, and friendly staff. This location is clean and has indoor and outdoor seating. You can see them grilling all proteins fresh right in the open. Nothing sits around here pre-cooked. Chorizo, al pastor, chicken tinga, and steak tacos were all incredible. All proteins were tender, flavorful, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Guacamole was very good! My other half loved the street corn! Agua Fresca was excellent, especially the guava basil. Overall, this will be a new regular spot for us. Food was plentiful and incredibly flavorful. Check it out for some great tacos!
So it looks like the Paramus Tavera that used to be on route 17 has moved to the Bergen town center. The food was excellent! In fact, I feel like maybe the quality went up even a slight notch. No knock on the other place. The other place was also good, but I felt like the dishes were even fresher this go around. I had a great time. I can't say enough nice things about the staff. They kept checking on us and they were super kind. Went with my family and everybody had a great time. My parents who don't typically like Mexican food actually really like this place..
Always an excellent experience at their locations. Fresh food in less than 10 minutes made to order. Prices are very reasonable for quantity and quality
Ordered from here via delivery service. Husband got the Golden avocado salad and beyond tacorizo taco. I got the quesadilla with grilled chicken and a golden avocado taco. My kiddo got chorizo tacos. My husband enjoyed everything; he was 'impressed' by the beyond tacorizo. My kid gave a lot of 'mmhh' and yums while eating his chorizo tacos; so that's a win. I loved the golden avocado taco, but the quesadilla was underwhelming. The chicken was nicely cook, but it was stuffed with more sauce than cheese, and the tortilla was very thick- making the bite dry in certain areas. Almost like a burrito too. Also, for the cost of the taco, wish it had more to it. It's yummy, but for $5, I dunno, expected more to them. Still would go back to try the other items.
Tacoria is great but a bit pricey for a fast food experience. 5 tacos a soda and an order of chips and guacamole cost us $38.
Yelp Event: I never enjoyed picking up food as much as I did here. Tacoria passed the vibe check. The food was delicious & their custom drinks kept me going back for more. Myself & my plus 1 definitely plan on visiting again the next time we are in the area. read more

Me and my sister went today and the food is really good! I came here a couple of times and the employees are so friendly. The manager Pablo is very nice and if you have any problems or questions you can always talk to him. He took great care of me and my sister and he's wonderful! I tell my friends and family to try the food here to. This is something different and I'm happy that this place opened. If you are looking for something different go here! read more

Tacoria recently opened and I swung by through a Yelp Elite invite. We got the el pastor tacos, carne asada burrito, and elote. I wasn't a huge fan of the el pastor meat, but the burrito was solid. Personally though, I would recommend the elote over everything else. The seasoning is on point! As a note, the interior is well set up, but you can only do take out. read more
One word, DELICIOUS! I had such flavorful Al Pastor tacos along with the street corn and it did not disappoint. I also loved the unique decor and ambiance it provided once you stepped in. Looking forward to going back soon and trying some of their other menu items! If you're in the mood for some yummy tacos, make sure you visit Tacoria. read more

New place. I'm guessing they have a few kinks to work out. Our order was take out and picked up by my husband. He said he waited in his car because people were gathered at the door for a bit and was giving them their space. It took a few minutes for them to move. Pick up was smooth and there were no errors with our order. Hubby ordered the chorizo salad. Horizon had a good flavor and a nice kick to it. Only thing negative he had to say is it was a salad and there wasn't much lettuce. The dressing that came with it had good flavor and was on the mild side of hot. He also had the Mexican street corn. He said it was good. I had the Al Pastor box. Honestly, if I had to judge this place based on this dish, I might not go back. But there are other things I'd like to try before I give up. I don't think there was much flavor to the dish. Good thing I ate at home where I had cilantro and lime to add. I have had Al Pastor, this one needs work. Lastly, it's take out. They need to remember napkins and utensils. This alone was a reason I took off a star. And because it was mentioned already in another review they had time to learn from their mistake. See the pics and you decide. Oh, almost forgot, the pics from the business owner need to be labeled. They are not and you don't know what you are looking at. read more

The food is delicious. And we've got delivery twice but I'm not sure why they offer sides of sauce for 25 cents. The first time I didn't get any of the sides. This time I ordered 4 and here's what I got. Almost worse than getting nothing. read more

Did not really expect much to be honest, but it turned out to be a great meal! Friend and I got 3 tacos each and Mexican steet corn. We got up to order drinks and then ordered another carne asada burrito with guac. Best taco was the Pollo Asado. Wasn't too into the Carne Asada taco for some reason. Not sure if it was less flavorful or a bit drier in the taco. I'd recommend Carne Asada inside the burrito instead. They were closing and the worker (not sure if he was the manager or owner), gave us a free dessert on the house after finding out it was our first visit! Thanks for the great service read more

Wow! This place is awesome! I absolutely love the atmosphere! Due to Covid they are only allowing pick up, but you can wait inside for your order! CJ was my order taker/cashier! Very welcoming and friendly! It was my first time here and he was very helpful in explaining the menu and making a recommendation on what to have. He asked what my preference was and if I had any allergies before making his recommendations. I decided on the Steak Quesadilla, street corn, Nutella nachos and Limeade beverage. The steak Quesadilla was loaded with steak from one side to the end! A piece or more and in every bite! It had a little bite to it but was delicious and so flavorful. The street corn was so yummy, I wish I had a second order. Also had a mild bite to it, but was totally tolerable and enjoyable! I'm not one for spice at all, but this was delicious! The Nutella nachos were a very large portion size and drizzled with Nutella all the way through and under the top! Each chip had Nutella on it. It wasn't too sweet or overbearing! Great end to a delicious meal! The Limeade was one of the best limeades I have had! It wasn't too sweet or too tart, just right! Very refreshing! The entire staff was pleasant and helpful! The order was processed quickly and everything was told to you that was in your order when you picked up from the counter. The restroom was really neat and clean! The restaurant is not allowing dine in due to covid, but it's such a cool atmosphere, I'd love to eat there in the near future. The music was also enjoyable to listen to while waiting for my order. The drink station was cleaned and CJ did not mind explaining what the store made drinks were and included ingredients. I had such a great visit and I highly recommend everyone to try them! I can't wait to go back. Do yourself a favor and when you exit the restaurant if you are parked facing it, go to your right to exit! I took a tour of the parking lot when I exited! read more

I loved the decor and vibe of this restaurant. The staff was very polite and service was quick despite the amount of customers present. I ordered the pollo tinga burrito box which was good. There was a sweetness to the dish that I wasn't too keen on but not enough to deter me from eating it. The Mexican street corn was the best part of the meal. Super fresh and flavorful. read more

My carne asado box was SO GOOD. Better than chipotle, I was shocked. The nutella nachos were a fun desert to try, and they ended up being really tasty! The decor of the restaurant is really cool and the staff was very efficient. Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves Tex-mex! read more
Came in for the Yelp elite event. Luckily there was no line and tables were open. I ordered a burrito with el pastor as protein. I like the fact that the burrito is grilled on the outside adding a crunch. Inside the burrito was rice, beans and cheese. My mom got a burrito bowl with el pastor as well. It came with rice, beans, cheese tomatoes and pineapple. My mom complained about the meat being hard. She had a bunch of over cooked meat. She also complained about there not being enough meat, and honestly i felt the same way. Everything else was good, the rest of the ingredients are fresh. We also got the street corn which was my favorite. The orange sauce that is drizzled on top is the perfect level of kick to it. We also got the guacamole and chips. Their horchata is GREAT. My mom got a guava and basil drink she also enjoyed it, not too sweet. Would i come back? No. Wasn't impressed. Worth the money? Ehhh portions are very small. read more
