Went to the Rangers/Devils game at Prudential Center last night. My wife and I were going to get our usual chicken fingers and a pretzel, but we got sidetracked when the smell from the Broritos stand hit us. WOW are we glad we stopped. Not only was the vendor incredibly friendly, the burritos were amazing. These burritos were better than chipotle hands down, and to get that quality at a sporting event had me in heaven. You have many different options to choose from for fillings as well, (naturally I tried to add a little of everything) and they were happy to accommodate. Had an opportunity to try these bro's burritos at as you might guess it, a f festival, beer festival to be exact and needed some good food to go with our beers. We saw the name which grabbed me and my friend. Aside from the long line the menu item names then got our attention. I went with the "Big Fella, Bro! Burrito" which was loaded with chicken, beef, peppers and beans wrapped tightly. It was really good, and the guys serving it up were real chill which is always nice, especially when you can imagine it might not be easy when there are long lines to deal with. Aside from Bro-rito Burritos, they have tacos, which got positive approval from my friend and quesadillas, both of which I think are slightly cheaper than the burritos. I got the black bean bro and my boyfriend got the beef bro. For my burrito I added guacamole, lettuce, hot sauce. $12.80 My boyfriend got got guacamole, lettuce, hot sauce and salsa on his. $13.80 The burritos got there within an okay time ordered through door dash. Unfortunately the burritos were cold and we had to heat them up. If they are sitting at the counter for a while they should keep them warm at least or make new ones. Taste wise my boyfriend enjoyed his he said the flavor was decent not terrible. There was a small amount of guacamole on his. Which was funny on mine there was so much guacamole I had to take out some. My burrito wasn't anything special. I ate about half of it. I probably wouldn't order again. They could definitely make their veggie burrito way more flavorful. Other than adding beans. There's many options to make a veggie burrito tasty. Tasty cold taco! The meat was cold as hell, I know it's an oxymoron but it is what it was. I ordered some tacos and asked if I could have some extra sauce on the side. He told me he had already put sauce on the taco. I asked him again if he had any sauce I could have on the side. Instead of telling me what kind of sauce he had available, he asked me what kind of sauce I wanted. The service is bad, with a young lady sitting at the counter looking at her phone while the cook answers the questions cause she didn't know anything. A customer came in and asked her, how much for a Burrito, she had to look at the menu to answer the question. The cook, or owner I assume told the lady $10.00 is the lowest price for a burrito. The lady left without ordering. It seems this young man knows how to cook, however he needs to know that front of the house employees and customer service are truly important to the customer experience. Though only a food truck, quality and taste were on par with any burrito you'd find at a restaurant. Many layers of complimentary flavors, especially for a vegetarian burrito! After finally placing my order, my burrito was ready very quickly. By the time I placed my order at the first window and paid at the next window, I was all set. I felt the pricing was fair, $10 for my burrito + $2 extra for guacamole, along with $2 drinks (bottled water, can sodas, etc.) They also accept both cash and credit. Nearing the end of the festival, they started to understandably run out of items, but the brothers maintained a positive and friendly demeanor the entire time. I got a vegan burrito which I did not enjoy at all. I ended up throwing it away that's how tasteless it was. It sucks because with all the good reviews I was really looking forward to this place and I'm always excited about supporting black businesses. I would even stalk their calendar to see when they would be in an area that's accessible to me. After charging me for my order someone tried charging me again (which I informed him is already paid-not sure why there was such confusion when I was the only one in the place. I don't have a problem paying whatever the price was but perhaps she could've paid more attention to what she was doing instead of her call.
