Mexican food in Napa? This truck might be the best bang for your buck. I had a few birria items which were excellent.

I finally got the chance to try this unicorn of a taco truck. They actually were there at 1115 but just started opening up. Thought they were setting up so went to the front about 1130. It felt like we were the first ones in line but there were multiple door dash orders already. Friendly service though. They said the wait time was about 20 min but it was 45 min. They do not seem to have an efficient system, as they do one order at a time. This includes door dash, seeming to take precedence of other orders. And has been the longest I've ever waited for tacos, let alone a taco truck. Not long after others who ordered around 12 were also waiting around the same time. Standing thinking 20 min would be enough. This establishment has been around for a few years. This inefficiency alone gives the place a two star, and deters me to return. The food was absolutely amazing though. Fluffy tacos were delicious and perfectly crispy, not falling apart, with loads of cheese. The quesabirria was seasoned well, not crispy. The elote tots were addicting with the perfect balance of sweetness from white corn. If ever I return it will probsbly be done through DoorDash at 11. read more

The flavor, texture, and size. People who work there are very nice. Just wish they could come back out to Vacaville or Benicia again. We drive out to Napa about every couple of weeks or so to eat their delicious burritos and tacos, especially the 'Puffy Tacos'. read more

TacoAddiction was set up at Feast It Forward last night. To start the evening I had already determined I wasn't really hungry, so I ate a very light dinner before heading out. The longer we sat at the venue and the more I could smell all of the delicious aromas drifting through the air, we caved and grabbed some tinga tacos/quesadilla and pastor tacos. I could have eaten 3 of the pastor tacos to my heart's content. They're delicious! I look forward to finding TA around town and checking out more of the menu! read more

I ordered from this truck via DoorDash. I ordered two bowls, one birria and one tinga. The bowls arrived cold. When I opened the birria container, a small flying bug came out. Pretty gross. I'd say DoorDash can't be held liable as the bag was pretty secure. Never again. read more

Let's just say.. this was the 2nd stop for Mexican food in Napa and they didn't disappoint. This truck is the best place for birria anything! They give you a huge side of consume (sometimes I just like to drink it alone) and the flavors are amazing! We "hiked" this morning, then wanted some bomb Mexican food and we def got that! WOW! Today was my first day trying taco addiction and I am blown away!! Like absolutely floored with how good this place is! I had to get the Birria taco and it was the best! The tortillas tasted home made and the Birria melted in your mouth! There was a perfect amount of cheese and the consome was PERFECT! Not too thick and not over salty! The Birria ramen was HUGE and I have a pretty healthy appetite, I couldn't finish it!! It was to die for! The ramen noodles were cooked perfectly, the onion and cilantro were the perfect compliment, the squeeze of fresh lime enhanced all those beautiful Birria flavors! I have tried sooo many tacos trucks in Napa and I will give them all their dues.. some are better than others, some are conventionally located near my house but NONE can compare to Taco Addiction! Their prices were seriously the best pricing I've seen in a while and they had great customer service, I advised them I was trying them out for the first time and they wrote on the bag with the Birria "appreciate you trying us out!" The only addiction I want is TACO ADDICTION! Hands down, thee best BIRRIAS around. No joke. I'm not big on chasing food trucks but TA is the only I will. I love when they are local (in my town) because for sure, it's cheat day! The birrias are full of mad flavor and the consume is the absolute best I've ever had. So good you want to eat it like soup! Omg!!!!! The birria egg rolls are fire!!!!! The birria is so flavorful and tender, it literally melts in your mouth! The egg roll wrapper is crunchy and delicious!!! That consome is to die for!!! Literally everything I've tried from here has impressed me beyond words. Christina is sooooo nice and they work hard to make sure we get quality, delicious, beautifully flavored food! Best Birria tacos in the surrounding area! If you haven't had these type of tacos before you're standards are about to be high after this place. The meat itself isn't oily or saturated in the consume (aka the sauce that the meat is stewed in). I've tried birria tacos that lacked flavor, but these had the right amount of sauce with the consume already included ready to dip that crunchy outer exterior. It's loaded with lettuce and dare do I say it so much cheese! The cooks literally grab a handful of cheese and stuff that taco with it. I've also tried the regular tacos that weren't puffy and the quesabirria. My favorite is still the puffy birria tacos that are 2 for $10. Pro-tip- follow their ig account so you know if they are in Napa or Vacaville, have sold out for the day or even better text in your order! They are made to order so it can take 20 minutes or more. I've been lucky enough to go during the middle of the day in the middle of the week so my wait times are short. Support local! read more

Yesterday's trip to Napa to get my car was 100% worth it to go to Taco Addiction. I first had Taco Addiction when it was parked outside of a tasting room about two years ago. The TA team was making fresh tortillas and I knew it was going to be good. I had never had a handmade, fresh tortilla until then. I have never been a fan of street tacos, as I am not a big onion and cilantro fan, but, these tacos were exceptions. They were savory, they were the perfect merger of texture, salt, acidity and protein. It was a pleasure to eat these tortillas, and it forever shaped my appreciation for the taco, which for much of my life as regulated to Chi-chi's and Taco Bell growing up in the Midwest. While Taco Addiction offers the traditional "street" tacos - and those are delicious - it's the birria and puffy tacos that were on the agenda yesterday. Puffy taco = chalupa. I had the carnitas. It's topped with an excessive amount of cabbage and shredded cheese. I hate cabbage, but it's thinly shredded and basically merges with the cheese and I can't even tell the difference between the two. The taco, made from TA's handmade tortillas, is fried. It's buttery and delicious. The diced steak is savory. So good. I topped it with a mix of red and green salsa. Heavenly. Birria - A beloved special occasion goat stew from Jalisco has become cultish in Southern California, where taco trucks and cafes have replaced the goat (due to it being harder to find) with beef and pushed it beyond stew. TA sells it as stew and with a ramen noodle option (pictured). We also had three birria tacos - folded handmade tacos with cheese baked in, topped with shredded beef, and consommé on the side for dipping. The food we enjoyed is made for hangovers - it is buttery and dare I say greasy. It's made for fans of junk food, it's made for people who want savory pleasures that make you moan and groan so loudly the other patrons look at you and say "I'll have what she's having." If you're looking for healthy options - they have vegetarian and vegan food, and lighter street tacos. Lauren got a vegan burrito to go and he said it was exceptional. Our tacos were pure pleasure. Even more so during a time when we're limited on being out and about. I have been struggling with my lack of in-person socializing with comrades in food and standing at the back of the bed of Lauren's car eating these delicious foods crafted with love, in the sunshine, just reminded me of the value and pleasure I get out of the efforts of chefs and cooks and the happiness I gain out of sharing it with friends and family. They have the best Mexican food ever. The service is fantastic. You order your food you wait a few minutes and you get the hot steamy food. It is so good and the ambience they have a very very good ambience about them. WOW absolutely delicious. the truck came into benicia to a local brewery, so we swung by for some tacos and a drink. the asada street tacos were exactly the street tacos you wanted. light, full of flavor, delicious tortillas. the red salsa was perfectly spicy, and the green had great flavor! and then the birria tacos. don't even get me started! they were phenomenal. a plate of 3 with a large side of sauce. so much cheese deliciousness, you can't come here without the getting birria! hopefully they come back to benicia so I can get more read more

I love food trucks and I Love the taco birria with the dipping sauce! I really only come for that but I have tried the Birria ramen which was good but just found it heavy for my taste. The truck is parked in an industrial street and you just roll in and find a parking spot. The wait is reasonable 10-15min. but expect tasty and authentic flavors of Mexicana! read more

This truck came to where I work and was giving away free tacos....1 problem...It was only for a certain group of employees, and I wasn't in that group! I asked if I could pay cash? See, on the menu were birria tacos. I'd heard about birria, but had never had anything prepared that way. I was told to come back around 1 PM. I arrived and the truck was shuttered. I looked around for someone and decided to knock on their door. A lady came to the door and I explained that I'd been told when to come back. She said, "OK, We're fixing it for you". A few minutes later the door opened and she handed me my meal. I offered her $8.00 but she said "No. We try and do one nice thing for someone every day. Enjoy!"... The tacos were delicious! Came with homemade corn tortillas, onions & cilantro with 2 separate containers of verde sauce and a dipping sauce. I recommend that you try this truck. Really not sure what all the hype is about... Went to the food truck when it was in my city and was excited to try these tacos because they look so good on reviews. My tacos actually looked really good however they were very bland and flavorless. They didn't taste like anything!!! I had to eat something else to make sure my sense of taste was still there LOL (DIY COVID Test LOL). and it was!!! I didn't even eat the tacos. I actually messed around with one and toss the other. I got the birria tacos and the puffy tacos. For five dollars a taco this is not it in my opinion. I won't go to this food truck again... The puffy taco is actually better than a birria taco but not good enough to buy again. As you can see in the pics... I took a few bites and actually tossed it. This picture is actually the next day... I put the tacos in the fridge to decide if I was going to try it again... but didn't even try it. I'm kind of mad that I wasted $20 on 4 of these tacos. Absolutely wonderful!! They have a food truck that is usually in Napa but I absolutely love when they make it out to Vacaville! Their Birria tacos are really good but the birria quesadilla is now my absolute favorite. The people who own and operate the business are very friendly. When I first tried taco addiction, it was a pop up in vacaville. We waited over 3 hours in the heat. It was miserable. Then our order finally arrived. It was the best thing ever. Needless to say it was worth waiting over 3 hours. Would I do it again? Probably not lol. The 1 hour drive to the original napa location was so worth it. I wouldn't normally go that far for tacos but these are damn good. Wish I had one of those portable folding picnic tables instead of eating this on the hood of my car. Birria tacos ftw!! read more
