Crazy good. 3 for $15. I ordered loroco not knowing what it was and it turns out it's edible flowers. Delicious!

I order the same Pupusas that I'm craving for. 2 porkbelly + cheese 2 bean + cheese 2 Chorizo+cheese 2 Tacos in purple corn tortilla 1 order of sweet Plantain The food is cooked fresh, so it's worth waiting for 30 minutes. My order includes pickled vegetables and red sauce, making it even more delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire order, as it was deliciously infused with genuine Latin flavors. The lady in the truck was very kind. Appealing red food truck with clear information presentation.

Veterans are an extraordinarily rare 6% of the population who Served for those who couldn't Serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, and Served for those who wouldn't Serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Greedflation has not struck here. Platanito Latin Cuisine service staff answered all our questions graciously which made a good first impression. We did The Take-Out of a variety of their Gourmet Pupusas. We made sure before we left that what we ordered is what we got. It was. Everything tasted fresh. Did what they're in business to do Has average prices; adequate food, okay customer service, okay wait time. Food here is definitely um, ummm, good Latin Cuisine, with what I think is authentic Salvadoran. They also offer authentic Mexican and combination dishes of Salvadoran and Mexican. The owner wisely made that choice to broaden their customer base. Their sweet fried plantains drizzled with crema salvadoreña was a pleasant savory surprise. Starting in the 1980s, early waves of poor Salvadoran immigrants began arriving in the United States, fueled in part by the civil war that was raging in El Salvador. Due to speaking Spanish, some Salvadoran immigrants started their restaurant career at a Mexican restaurant. If you're familiar with Salvadoran cuisine, then you probably already know that several dishes sometimes resemble those of authentic Mexican cuisine. However, sometimes resemble are the keywords there. Salvadoran food is a delicious and unique cuisine that is a mix of Central America indigenous, Spanish and North America Mexican flavors. Popular Salvadoran dishes include pupusas, which are corn tortillas filled with cheese, beans and pork, and served with curtido, a spicy cabbage slaw. Other traditional Salvadoran dishes include yuca con chicharron, which is fried yucca root served with pork rinds and cilantro sauce. Salvadoran cuisine is hearty and delicious, with a unique blend of flavors that can't be found anywhere else. El Salvador's cuisine is based on corn and beans. Topped with cheese, beans, chicaharrones, loroco, squash, garlic, and other toppings, pupusas are a favorite. With fillings of spiced meat, dried fruits and sweet corn, Salvadoran tamales are corn dough pockets wrapped in banana leaves and steamed. Nittamalized corn, rather than corn flour, is used to make pupusas; so pupusas have a distinct nutty flavor. El Salvador's native red silk bean (frijol de seda) has a unique flavor and is used in many popular dishes. Salvadoran Beans are small, dark-colored beans that are usually creamy in texture and have a mild, earthy aroma. Salvadoran refried beans are an essential part of Salvadoran cuisine. The beans are cooked and mashed together with onions, garlic, and spices to create a flavorful and hearty dish. The beans are then fried in a pan with a combination of lard and oil, giving it a unique and deep flavor. This business: Charged us the menu prices posted Provided what they advertise No one here offered to commit fraud to reward us, pay us or compensate us for posting 5 star reviews of this business. Has a Military Veterans Discount I rate 'em 3 stars. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, that's "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of something that does day in and day out what it is there to do. It's NOT a negative review because doing day in and day out what it is there to do is NOT an easy thing to accomplish. They earned another star for a total of 4 stars for their Military Veterans Discount. Why Does Restaurant Food Taste So Good? Especially restaurant refried beans. Restaurants typically add a lot of extra fat, such as bacon fat, bacon grease, butter, or other types of fat, to give their food that extra mouthwatering flavor. Make food not war. Dyk that throughout the 1980s, the United States provided the wealthy-corporate-landowner oligarchy-backed Salvadoran military with $1 million a day; a total of $6 billion dollars. Those funds helped the oligarchy-backed Salvadoran military to eliminate the insurgency by the poor and any perceived supporters of the poor. The civil war in El Salvador lasted for twelve years, from 1980 to 1992. Don't blame the poor leaving their war-ravaged oligarch-controlled country seeking a better life. Blame the wealthy-corporate-landowner-oligarchs that created the war and the poor. P.S. Don't message me because in spite of my several complaints to yelp, for years now I am unable to open up any messages in yelp to me :-(

We loved their red spicy sauce and super crunchy fresh curtido. They are packed into small zip lock bags. I forgot to take photos since I was hungry. My go to is the 3/$12 Revuelta pupusas and the Plantains with the beans . Top tier beans and plantains. I am so glad I found this place. It is very close to my work. I do recommend calling in your order at least 30 minutes before so that it'll be ready for you to pick up. sometimes they do not answer their phone but they will give you a call back. Keep in mind they do not accept tap pay, but they do accept Zelle and Venmo if you need to make a mobile payment. It is small and cozy inside but there are at least 4 tables if you want to dine in. They do have a few tvs if you were there to relax while waiting or out with your family. Being new to the area, this place will definitely be my go to for pupusas.

Hidden gem! Literally…read more I would not have found this place if I wasn't sitting in the passenger seat and stuck in traffic trying to get on the freeway ramp. I look out the window and beyond the Denny's I see a restaurant, "Dos Culturas" I tell my husband, and we're both intrigued. My MIL has lived in the neighborhood for 2 years, and we passed by the place probably over 100 times, tucked away in the far back in the same parking lot as Denny's... and I only noticed the place because we were sitting in traffic. We finally decided to give it a try. First off, I love the huge menu. Obviously, it's fitting two cultures (Salvadorean and Mexican) on their menu, and they don't skimp. They have it all. We got the pupusa bombs (!) to share, and I got the chile relleno con carnes, and the hubs got a carnitas plate. The pupusa bombs are basically pupusas but in a ball, then deep fried. We got one bean and cheese, and one birria and cheese and it comes with birria consome for dipping. These really were the bomb! A bit expensive for what they were, but we still thoroughly enjoyed it. The chile relleno con carnes was really good, and exactly how I want a chile relleno to taste. Great batter, and great sauce, and it was topped with cheese, so you get the carnes and the cheese. :) Yum! I would definitely get it again. My hub's carnitas plate was good, and the portions were huge. I also really love the green sauce they give you with the chips. I could eat that all day. (Not sure if my digestive system would like it though. :P) Service was slightly slow, but that was just because the waitress was the bartender and waiting on the whole restaurant. She was very nice and welcoming, ...so it really wasn't too bad. I wanted to give this place some love because it's really good and it's so hidden, even though it's on a busy street. I recommend to the owners to get some signs to put on Santa Rosa Ave saying you exist there, because I seriously would had never realized this really good place was there unless I was stuck in traffic. Anyhow, I am very confident we'll be back. Would love to try the standard pupusas and lots of other stuff on the menu. They have breakfast too!

They left out the avocado completely and gave me a tablespoon of guacamole and sour cream, which was enough to have some in two of the 30+ bites the burrito offers. I called the location and the manager was very nice at first, she said she would make me a new burrito and to come in tomorrow, that she will make a note of it. When I got there, she was not a nice lady I talked to on the phone. She was immediately irritated with me and demanded a picture of the item. I did not have a picture. I took one through the review of the item on the app, but apparently that doesn't save it to your phone. She told me go ahead and complain through DoorDash. I can't help you. She wasted my time, energy, gas and basically stole my money. I cannot recommend this place, unfortunately. If you do decide to go there, make sure they don't do you, like they did me. Completely unacceptable and far from professional. If they followed through with the original promise to me, this would've been a positive review. It's unfortunate. Their leadership is too stubborn to admit mistakes.

We also really enjoyed the pastelitos de papa. We then split the Cachapa (with serrano ham, because, ham), and the Asado. Our group was 3 people, and we left VERY full, but not overwhelmed.
