My daughter brought a tray of their Mac & Cheese for Easter dinner. I must say this was the best I've ever had in my 75 years!

This place completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice family lunch. The family meal was displayed as $89 on the menu screen above the register, but I was charged $92.55. Even more shocking, I was charged $31.55 for three cans of soda and three bottles of Crystal Geyser water. I questioned the charges multiple times while she was ringing me up. At first, I was told the difference was because of tax, but the receipt clearly shows that sales tax was charged separately afterward. When I questioned why the prices were so high, the owner, Joanne, explained that because her costs have gone up, she has to increase her prices. I understand that businesses have higher costs and sometimes need to raise prices. But if that's the case, clearly display the new prices BEFORE customers order and be upfront about what you're charging. Don't display one price and then charge something different at the register. After this experience, I looked through other reviews and noticed I am apparently not the only customer with concerns. Other reviewers have complained that the food and overall quality have gone downhill, alleged that microwaves are being used more than actual cooking, and accused Joanne of "rounding up" prices in her favor. Those are other customers' claims, but after what happened with my bill, I understand why people are questioning the pricing. The food itself didn't help. Two different menu items were combined into one aluminum container, the sauce was brown and tasted burnt, and the bread was stale. Based on what we were served, the quality was nowhere near what the prices would suggest. Joanne also plays the pushy, aggressive grandmother stereotype very well. When you question something, the interaction quickly turns into a grandmother-style guilt trip that makes you feel like you're being unreasonable just for asking about the charges. Don't let that distract you from checking your receipt. I'm all for supporting small businesses, and I understand that costs have increased. But higher costs don't justify unclear pricing. Raise your prices if you need to--just clearly display them and let customers decide whether they want to pay them. Based on my experience, verify the prices before ordering and check every single item on your receipt before leaving. I definitely won't be returning.

Today I tried the Clam Chowder which should be award winning. Full of clams, rich and creamy. The daily special for Tuesday which was Sausage and peppers and came with a side of garlic bread with was too die for. The sausage had a great spice and the peppers had the right amount of bite to them not soggy. I also got some vegetables that had mushrooms, artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes with some kinda oil vinegar dressing that I just loved. And I only spent $18. The young gentleman helping me went above and beyond helping and explaining everything to me. Unfortunately I didn't get the mustached ash blonde gentleman's name to give him proper credit. Hopefully they figure it out. I'll be back next time im in Napa.

The service varies, but unfortunately it's a bit slow. The wait is an average of 20+ minutes from my past experiences. They have a pull tab, but they don't consistently use the numbers and it's slightly disorganized. The prices are a bit expensive, but it's the Napa area so what can ya do lol. The employees are nice and welcoming, but ordering here the first time might be intimidating since you might miss the pull tab and not know where and how to put in an order. They also have a bunch of other small items and drinks around the store. Pictures will be attached. Other than the wait, their sandwiches are pretty good if you're willing to wait.

The place is huge inside and it has outside seating that is covered. Our waitress came by shortly afterwards we were seated and asked if we need any drinks or water. She brought us some water, some bread, and told us the specials. The bread was nice and soft, and the dipping sauce had a garlic flavor to it that was delicious. I ordered a bowl of the soup which was like a minestrone and very good. For our entrees we ordered the Rigatoni and the Penne con Pollo. Both dishes came out pretty quick. Both dishes were cooked perfect, tender pasta and delicious sauces. We were to full to order dessert. The place is really nice inside with a really nice decor. Service was excellent. Ambiance, comforting. There's something about red/white checkered tablecloths that says "This place has good food"! And it is! I had the ravioli (1/2 meat 1/2 cheese) in their signature meat sauce. I also had a side salad, crisp greens and lotsa extra stuff, so good. We had the garlic bread, cheesy, garlicky and buttery. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs and a sausage, he was surprised at the size of the meatball, huge. Had a glass of their house blush wine, also very good. All in all, an excellent dining experience. Just as I remembered. Like Arnold said, "I'll be back" (you read that like the Terminator ) P.S. there were no leftovers

It definitely has old world Italian charm with wine bottles hanging from the ceiling and dimly lit decor. We were there for a late afternoon lunch. I ordered an 8" combo pizza and my wife had the soup and salad lunch special. The salad (Caesar) was fresh with just the right amount of dressing and fresh grated parmigiana. Delicious without being drowned. The soup was hearty and well seasoned. My wife loved it so much we ordered a quart to go. That is saying a lot as she is not a huge fan of Italian cuisine. Now, I am kind of a pizza snob so, my expectations weren't that high. Wow! Was I wrong! The crust was crisp with a soft center. The sauce was perfect, not too much or too little, just right. It was a delicious pie. The perfect ratio between toppings, sauce and a crust that doesn't flop. Service was fast and friendly. If you are in Napa and looking for a really good meal that won't max out your credit card, this is the place. Oxbow is a neat place to visit, but the prices are in my opinion, extremely high. Try this place for reasonable, affordable and delicious Italian food.
