Food: - Complementary bred and dipping sauce: Bread (ciabatta?) was good and the dipping sauce was delicious with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, onions, olives, etc. - Calamari Fritti: thin, crisp batter and just the right amount of saltiness. The roasted bell pepper-chipotle aioli dipping sauce was good. - Insalata Di Arugula: Arugula salad was ok for me, but my wife didn't care for it much because the papaya vinaigrette dressing was a little bland for her. It had a decent amount of pear, jicama, roasted walnuts and not too much blue cheese. I'm not a fan do blue cheese, so I was relived that there wasn't too much, just enough to give it some flavor. - Pappardelle Allo Zaferano: fresh homemade saffron pasta with prawns and wild mushroom, finished with a roasted shrimp bisque. Very tasty with shrimp flavor and 4 large prawns. - Lunch Box Meal (available Monday-Friday): 3 Course meal. 1st course, choice of soup of the day or Mista salad. 2nd course, choice of 6 different entrees. 3rd course, blackberry sorbet. I chose the soup of the day which was a mushroom/shrimp bisque (smooth tomato based soup, wish there was actually chunks of shrimp in it). For the entree, I chose Rigatoni Alla Bolognese, meat sauce was really good and full of ground meat. The blackberry sorbet was really good. Overall, we had a good experience here and the food was delicious for the most part. My wife was a little disappointed as she wanted to order the Spaghetti Carbonara (saw it on an older menu on Yelp), but they no longer have it on the menu. It was a delicious pie. The perfect ratio between toppings, sauce and a crust that doesn't flop. Service was fast and friendly. If you are in Napa and looking for a really good meal that won't max out your credit card, this is the place. Oxbow is a neat place to visit, but the prices are in my opinion, extremely high. Try this place for reasonable, affordable and delicious Italian food.
