    3 tacos fish, chicken, birria

Nice people. Fast service brought lists of customers. Food was good. We liked our 3 tacos (fish, chicken, and birria), burrito bowl, cheese and chips. Really I have no constructive comments.

Favorite taco place in the area. I love their brisket. Steak burritos are also great! Little no frills hole in the wall place it's perfect for Reston

The tortillas for the tacos were very thick and it was very dry. The chips and salsa was very good. The burrito bowl was good as well. The price was reasonable.

Came here for lunch on a weekend and it pretty busy, we got the last table available. I ordered the lunch special which I don't think is worth since it's around the same price as 3 tacos and the beans and rice aren't super large. I think that 3 tacos would have been better. The tacos themselves were pretty great though. I got the steak and the chicken since that's what I usually get and both were excellent

I go past this place every day so I decided it's time to give it a try. I get a feeling the land will be seized by the county for more overpriced condos so I thought the time is now. I had a few friends with me so it was a taco fest at out table. I ordered the barbacoa three taco combo with no tomatoes or guacamole. I also grabbed a Victoria beer in a bottle from the cooler. The order came out pretty fast. The tacos didn't have much in terms of meat or toppings. The shells looked about half empty. I understand shortages but seriously for $4 per taco more meat/ toppings could have been put in the shell. No price for the bottles of beer and I guess the $6 a bottle would scare some folks off. I was still hungry when I left. I guess I'm more used to a bigger selection of toppings and a fuller taco. Definitely try this place out. See what you think.

I was in Mexico a month ago and every time I was getting tacos over there, I kept thinking how in the heck is Taco Zocalo back home tasting better than most Mexican tacos?? I eventually found a great taco place in Mexico but Taco Zocalo still beats most of them. I cannot recommend this place enough. Every time I'm craving tacos, it's Taco Zocalo time for me. Taco Bamba, Bar Taco, nah nah. It's Taco Zocalo! Insert Drake meme here. The downside of tacos being so good here is that I don't know what else on their menu is good LOL Note that the one by Wiehle Ave is the OG place. There have been a few branches opened since they are doing so well. I've been getting tacos at the OG place for years now and it tastes the best in my opinion. The new branches are great too but the OG place always takes it up a notch consistently. The place is quite small so if you're planning to dine in, it may or may not have open tables. However, know that people usually pick up or get delivered most of the time. My go-to order is a three-taco combo with 1 steak and 2 fish. I switch between flour and corn tortillas from time to time. I like them both. Don't forget to get the chips and salsa. The salsa here is out of this world. Pair it all with tamarind soda! You must know that pictures cannot represent very well the way they taste. You just have to try it. Did I forget to mention it's CHEAP?

2 Birria Tacos served Tuesdays and Sundays

Located in a nondescript brick building, Taco Zocalo is a very popular spot for lunch. When we arrived a little after 10:30 am, there was only one other customer. By the time we left an hour later, there was a sizable lunch rush and the small dining area was filling up. The service was efficient and my Birria tacos were brought to my table pretty quickly. The shredded beef and lamb was accompanied nicely by the broth. Take note, it seems this menu item is only served on certain days (Tuesdays and Sundays according to the receipt).

Nachos: Picture this. It's my wedding day. I am about to walk down the aisle and join my fiancé at the altar, as we begin our new life together. It's one of those moments in life I know will replay in my head before I die. It's the. moment, the most special moment of my life. I couldn't be more excited. The doors open, time slows down, "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon starts playing in the background. All eyes are on me, every emotion is heightened, I've never felt so alive. I lock eyes with my soon-to-be-husband, and begin making my way towards him, towards our new beginning. I make my way to him, we join hands, and the officiant we hired from Craigslist begins the ceremony. As he begins, my fiancé and I are beaming with excitement, and we chuckle as the officiant routinely asks "does anyone object to this uni-", but suddenly, and shockingly, he gets interrupted by a familiar voice in the crowd. Sudden gasps emerge from the crowd. In panic, I drop my fiancés hands, and my eyes search the room for the voice that made my heart stop. It's him... it's my first love, my first spicy toxic relationship, it's the one that got away. It's the plate of nachos from Taco Zocalo. He repeats "I object", and it echoes across the room, across my heart, and shatters the reality of the present moment. Tears rush down my face as I look my fiancé in the eyes, he knows... he knows I'll never love him the same way. I utter a staggered "I'm.. sorry..", I pick up my 2004 Vera Wang gown and I make a run for it. A run towards the one I always wanted. The crowd rises in uproar and disbelief, but none of it gets to me. "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon plays again, the adrenaline rush blurs out the chaos around me, and the only sight I am focused on is the plate of nachos from Taco Zocalo infront of me. I run into his arms, I kiss him and he tastes like homemade mango habanero sauce. I have found my forever love. We escape from reality, we kiss in the rain, and we find the nearest courthouse to join in unholy matrimony. All else: work wife said these were the best tacos she's had in a while and I couldn't agree more. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff ladies were super sweet. The food here is worth all your money.

And, I'm not sure if this place serves the best tacos on the planet, but I can say that they certainly serve the best tacos that I've ever had! I came here just after flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX). I hadn't eaten since I was in Los Angeles because I refuse to eat that terrible airplane food. Needless to say, I was pretty hungry by the time I arrived. I walked in without a reservation, at about 9pm, and they appeared to be moderately busy. Shortly after entering a friendly hostess guided me to a comfortable booth. As I looked around this business, I was immediately pleased with the "cool vibe" that this place had. Several folks were either dining together or socializing at the bar. My immediate thought was that this would be a really pleasant place to take someone special on a date. Shortly after being seated, a waitress stopped by my table and introduced herself. Her name was Alayna. Seeing that I was new to this restaurant, she quickly went over the menu and other details unique to this restaurant. She was also careful to ask if I had any food allergies, because a lot of folks have these. I told her how much I appreciated her focus on this because two of my kids have food allergies that I have to watch out for. I ordered a pomegranate limonada to drink, which was incredibly refreshing. For my first round of tacos, I ordered the "baja fish" taco, the "roasted duck" taco, and the "sesame ribeye" taco. For my second round, I ordered the "carne asada" taco, the "yukatán shrimp" taco, and the "crispy oyster" taco. And boy, these tacos not only satisfied my hunger, they were all absolutely delicious! Throughout my experience here, Alayna was incredibly professional, attentive, and pleasant. If you're ever in the Reston area, I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal. This was a solid five-star experience!

There are some parking spots right in front, although not many. There is a decent amount of seating, but it would be tight if you had a large party. My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.
